VW are rated nicely in my book, I have a Bora (Jetta in the US), it's a much faster car than my 306 but I still think my 306 handles better.

Can I have your Bora please? I like that VeeDub very much. :sly:

IF you pay a vastly over charged shipping cost for it, and by vastly over charged I DO mean VASTLY over charged ;).

In OTHER words, enough for Live to buy a used TVR Sagaris.

You have taste 👍.

How many different companies have cars built in Mexico these days?

Volkswagen, Toyota, Ford, GM, DaimlerChrysler, just to name a few...

I can see a few of our smaller companies over here having most parts manufacturered overseas and shipped to the Uk for assembly in the near future, it's just costing too much to build cars in the UK.

Same with here in the US. Although GM does a good job of having the majority of the smaller parts built in Canada or Mexico, often times the engines and transmissions and final essembly is all done in Detroit, Lansing, Illinois, Tenessee, etc.

I thought the Focus had a bad rep in the US because of build quality or something.

It had a bad rep in terms of reliability and because it was an insipid drive (confounding people who knew the car in England). That didn't stop sales, though. It was no Camry, but it sure made money for Ford, little as it helped at the time. But even if was only mediocre, wouldn't an "all new Focus" help things? I've never sold cars before, but I've had experience in other sales industries. Newer is almost always perceived as better.
