Just wanted to say that I received my T3PA‘s today. I have to say, yes, they are definitely better. The precision on the brake is gorgeous. I set the brake mod on medium resistance and it’s so much more intuitive to brake. So overall I must admit I should have bought them from the beginning but I thought it would not make a difference at all and grabbed the T150 2 pedal Set. Boy was I wrong, cheers. 💡

I've been anxious to hear your opinion.
Glad you are happy... me too.
And, me too on the whole T150 deal, had no desire for the clutch so figured why spend the money...
Guess I should have done some research... but, even had I done so, I'm a little hard headed and need to learn from mistakes anyways... So, I'd likely have ended up going down the same road... arg.

I was very satisfied with the Stock bundle, it is my first Wheel ever, and I was blown away how much more fun I got out of using a Wheel compared to Pad. But obviously, stinginess didn’t pay off, as these pedals offer an even more immersive Experience. Overall conclusion is who doesn’t Listen pays twice I had to learn

Hello cleanLX, i Just wanted to ask you about your opinion about the Playseat Challenge. I have Orderd one today and would like to hear how stable it is especially referring to the Wheel Plate. I read on Amazon some reviews and the ones that gave me to think were the ones that only gave it 1 or 2 stars. They said that the Wheel actually felt wobbly because it was not stable enough and could easily be moved up/down while driving and totally killed the immersion. If so, is it really that bad? Actually I have my Wheel attached to an IKEA Kallax Shelf and it is absolutely stable and doesn’t move even at the quickest moves. Please share your impressions and be honest cause I could still cancel the order if it should turn out to be true.

@PirovacBoy ... that was my hesitation too.
If I am not playing, I can certainly move/flex the wheel up down a little... but, at that point I'm more concerned about the pressure I'm apply to the wheel than I am unimpressed with the stiffness of the plate/support.
When driving, I notice no flex, I'm sure it's there, but, I do not notice. Maybe if I had FFB turned up high, or with a heavier wheel... but with the lightweight T150 I do not notice it when playing.
My wheel is not bolted to the plate, I just used the stock/factory clamp/thing.
I'm short, 5'-7" (170.2cm's) and at first did not like the height of the wheel, and that is not very adjustable... after a few "stints" in the chair I cannot imagine having it located at any other height.
I went to my pals house last weekend to frig around on the game, and took my chair down... he ordered one too.

Edit: I was useing a Rigid table saw work bench thing prior, and sitting on the couch... this is soooo much better, way more comfortable and stable. Feels wierd and "geeky" at first sitting down in a race seat, but, totally comfortable with my level of geek... so much better.

Thanks for your fast answer. It seems like you managed to convince your pal quite fast, good point. So actually I think I will just wait until it arrives and will have to test it to get a feeling how it works for me. I‘m a bit taller 185cm so the Wheel height should be no problem at all. Me too is using a T150 so hopefully i‘ll Share the same impressions. I don’t know if the Wheelbase can be bolted. I don’t think so. Does the Wheel sit sturdy when attached with the Clamp?

The comments about it moving are from people who have not tightened it correctly.

I used to run a T150 on one and now run a T300 (which has a lot more torque) and the Challenge is totally fine.

In regard to attaching it you will have to use the clamps as the T150 doesn't have mounting holes as standard, however you can get this....

http://www.ricmotech.com/hard_mount_adapter_for_T150_tmx_wheels_p/rmt-t150hmp.htm

...if you did want to mount it with out the clamp (which can get in the way).

The playseat challenge is actually absurdly stable given how it looks, mine is home to my T300, a set of T3PA pro pedals, my TS8A shifter, a phone mount (for UDP apps), my button box (soon to be upgraded) and a tactile bass shaker.

Trust me, its can take a T150 and a lot, lot more.

Hello Scaff, nice to hear. That really pushed my expectations. That Ricmotech adaptor has definitely made its way on my to buy list. I didn’t knew something like that even exists. I‘m really glad to get so much feedback regarding my concerns. Looks like they were unfounded.

I just searched the internet for that Ricmotech adaptor. But it looks like it can’t be bought here in Europe. So the only solution would be to order one from the US. I don’t know how expensive the shipping would be but I expect it to be more than the adaptor itself. Does maybe someone know if it can be ordered here in Europe? And how much the shipping cost would be?

You would need to order from the US.

I've no idea how much shipping on that would be, but I have the Shirt Shifter adapter they do for the TS8A and shipping wasn't too bad if I recall. It also got to me in under a week.

Yes apparently it looks like that’s the only solution. I think i‘ll give them a call tomorrow and ask about shipping cost. I just hope they will understand what I want due to my school English. I don’t feel confident talking in English as it’s not my first language. On the other side I like my Borat style :D

If shipping is too expensive you may be able to make something similar, it's a fairly simple concept.

Yes I looked at the pictures and it doesn’t look like a masterpiece in construction. Maybe i‘ll find a Solution to build my own mount plate. Any suggestions are welcome.

Scaff, I feel like I saw a thread about your bass shaker but can't remember. How is it working out? And how have you done it? I think that's the last piece for my Challenge.

I agree completely about the stability of the Challenge. I have one as a second rig and have attached a CSR and a T300 and have had no issues whatsoever.

My bass shaker has worked out excellently, would not swap it for anything.

I mounted it on my challenge by using two key-clamps and a piece of mild steel tube cut to length, pictures in this post.

@PirovacBoy Excuse me for butting in but I have a T300RS and T3PA Pro pedals mounted on a Playseat Challenge. It is much sturdier than it looks, I notice no flex when driving. It's a real nice feeling to be able to pull the wheel hard one way, then hard back the other going though a chicane - something I could never do with my old Wheelstand Pro. You'll love it :)

No no all cool, just butt in. The more opinions the better. I just got an email that my Playseat Challenge will arrive tomorrow. I‘m really excited. Because I am/was so undecided if I made the right choice buying the Challenge, I couldn’t resist and ordered a Playseat Revolution today. So, tomorrow i‘ll do some testing how good the Challenge really is. I‘m usually a person who is smooth when driving and I like being precise and smooth with my inputs on both, steering and Throttle/Brakes.
Maybe someone is here who actually has the Playseat Revolution too and could share his/her impressions how this thing compares to the Challenge. Anyway, i‘ll find it out soon enough but some opinions are always appreciated.

Hey Guys today I received my Playseat Challenge. So far i‘m quite happy with it. One more time thanks for all your comments and opinions you gave me. I totally agree this Seat is very comfortable, very stable and just pretty cool to drive in it. Now I just have to get used to the new Seat Position and the new Paddle angle. I think it‘ll take a few days to adapt to it but I got all time on Earth. Thank you.
Referring to the Revolution, today I was in a shopping mall and took a ride in it. I absolutely didn’t like it and cancelled my order while still sitting in it. Compared to the Challenge it was like a drive in an old Bus. The whole thing was wobbly and the pole(hehehe) between my legs felt awful :sly:.
Looks like I made the right choice.

you got the blue one... nice!
your pedals are way too far way! (170cm's :) )
Well, I actually adjusted them after I took the Picture and pulled them a bit closer. I‘m still not 100% satisfied. Either F1 Style far away or NASCAR Style closer to me. I‘ll fiddle it out, no worries :)
Edit: Yeah I liked the blue one more fits to my T150 :D
