Did you beat Senna's record: post your best time.

An update on my WSR time,

Not enough to take down @Tidgney , but enough to take 2nd place. ;)

Got a 1:25.084 on Monza, and a 1:07.169 at Brands Hatch. Still struggling to gold that one, can't get the power down in the slow corners

I did finally gold the Brands one....I tried to do both without ABS and TCS(for authenticity? lol) using T500 and stick shift with clutch....

14+-+1

14+-+1

I think there are more time to find but I probably won't try again til later...For both I actually I think did a lot of corner in higher gear since the preset gearing seems too short in some gear. I did Brands only going down to 3rd at the hairpin and through most of the rest of the corners in 4th, including the uphill left hander leading onto the back straight...

Seems like my time disappeared from the leaderboard so I'm assuming you need evidence.

Loads of time to be found at Monza. Was spinning my wheels big time coming out the chicane, didn't use hardly any of the road coming out the chicane after the bridge, went far too wide in the first lesmo as well!

I love the 80's Monza. I think the RB challenge ruined the current version.

Brands hatch first and second turns were killer, I wanted to smash my own face in.
I finally stopped with a 1.09.956! Just over an hour, so not as bad as some license tests.

Your BH time was in the OP, I must have missed your monza time somehow, all sorted now.
I added proof on page 8(noticed I was not added to the list).

Yea I may have missed yours completely,my apologies. When you decide to do BH just say "UPDATE" or something to catch my attention 👍

With ABS still 3 pedaling it..

You can commit to braking a lot harder without worry about locking up the front and wash out...really helps actually with the fast corners in the later half of the lap...

Nah you didn't miss it... it was never there. Didn't realise the first page was getting updated now I was still looking on page 4 for the Brands time. Appreciate all the work you've done to keep it updated.

SCREW LOTUS, SCREW BRANDS HATCH, SCREW SENNA!!!!

AAAAAARGH!!!

...i dislike stage 4.

I see you're around a second off the gold time, there's a few demonstration laps in the OP which might help get you that gold and also some extra spending money. ;)

If needs be, relax and come back to it a later point. It helped me set up my fast laps. 👍

I couldn't do it.
My wheel's gas pedal starts off with only 90% throttle, fully pressed, and then slowly decreases down to 65%.
I was stuck using a DS3, and I couldn't get past silver. I finally bit the bullet and hooked up my wheel.

Got Gold on my first run.
I can't drive with a controller worth ****, haha.

Comes to show, however, how much room there is for improvement. Even without full throttle (I had about 84% during my Gold lap) I still managed a 1.06.2 (If I remember correctly)
That's not the fastest time around, but I know that it can easily be beaten if I had full throttle down those high speed curves.

I've improved to a 1.04.456 at Brands but there's still a lot of time to come, a lot. The next lap I blitzed the first two sectors and was on for a very low 1.04 or a very high 1.03 but binned it at hawthorn. I am determined to hit a 1.03.

Go for it, 👍 a good 1:03 lap will put you inside the top 3 along with yours truly.
Best of luck to you. ;)

I just notice when u use the clutch on senna's 97T that when you have to up shift you will start to lose speed very fast vs sequential shifting and the acceleration diference is big i can lose 0.25 out of a corner on BH on every acl but when u down shift with the clutch you can turn a corner faster than a sequential down shifting ( like 5km/h faster at entry).

He was a Beast! Watch and learn from the man himself.

Yeah but something tells me his camber was beneficial.

Controller, no driving assists.
Kart: 59.994 brake balance 0/7
F3: 43.108 bb 5/6
Monza:1:23.753 bb 4/7 (and the irony that I'm two thousandths shy of two seconds faster isn't lost on me)

Controller, ABS 1 only.
BH: 1:07.438 bb 4/7

Still working at BH and once I gold with ABS 1 I'll aim to get a gold time with it off. The F3 gave me trouble with it off so I wussed out and got the gold, but went back later and erased the "ABSterisk" with an improved record. Heavy understeer through the last corner on both runs through it each attempt.

Finally golded Brands Hatch after playing it for an hour Wednesday night and another hour tonight. 1:06.330

Stowe=59.625
Brands Hatch=43.027
Monza=1:23.750
Brands Hatch=1:06.330

To be honest, I didn't work at them after getting gold. I got gold and moved on to the next event. I'm sure I can bring those times down a bit, especially the first three since I golded each of them within a few tries.

This thread is so frustrating to read. For the Lotus at Brands Hatch I'm stuck with a DS3 and using AT and ABS 1(never played with MT). Easily 200 (probably 30 valid laps) attempts over 2 days and can only manage 1.08.064. I really don't want this to be the only event I haven't golden but even if I hook up perfect sectors I've still nearly a second to find. What to do?

At least you got silver. I am sitting at a 1:11.xx

Take a look at the replay of Vics lap in the OP, it will show you were to brake, where to turn in, when to get the power down etc. And remember late turn ins and late apexs are the key to nailing most of these corners.

Cheers for the support. My lines are very similar to the Leader's but they are all exiting the slower corners in a higher gear (e.g. 4th vs 3rd) and avoiding wheel spin when powering out of them, I can't seem to replicate that (with AT)... Has anybody completed this task with AT?
