Did you beat Senna's record: post your best time.

Another update on the 97T time at BH.

New time is a 1:04.192. ;)

If I spend more time running it, I might just break into the 1:03's.

Had another quick go at 97T at Brands just for a little practice before GT Academy tomorrow :)! Got it down to a 1:03.528, definitely a 1:02 there although just gotta hook it up, but it's GT Academy now for the next 2 weeks!

97T Brands Hatch: 1:03.528
Go figure, I just get within 3 tenths of you and then you stretch the gap even more.

Good run. 👍

Wait, so he beat senna? I posted senna video on page 6 and senna ran a 1.07.524.

Yeah in 1986 he did. And the lap in the video wasn't actually the pole lap which was a 1:06.961.

But the game's scenario is set in 1985 where Senna was quickest with Piquet 3 tenths behind. Makes you think was Piquet actually better than time has made out him to be? He seems a little underrated for a triple world champion these days...

My progress so far (w/DFGT - ABS1):
Stage 1: Gold: 0:59.572 (need a 1:00.000 for Gold)
Stage 2: Gold: 0:42.843 (need a 0:43.140 for Gold)
Stage 3: Gold: 1:24.224 (need a 1:25.084 for Gold)
Stage 4: Silver: Couldn't Manage better than a 1:08.166 (need a 1:07.169 for Gold) at the moment. Had to quit because frustration was setting in.

I agree, Piquet was fast in 86, I just read Senna was third that year in qualifying, and it was probably due to Piquet was using more of the track than Senna if you watch the video closely, Senna was right on the edge while Piquet was taking a tire off on the rumble strips resulting in more speed.

Slight improvement on Lotus 97T '85 @ Brands Hatch. 1:06.586

P.S. Those 1m03s laps are fantastic. 👍

Best I could manage. I'm amazed by some of those 1.03 times. Good effort.

Edit. I did this with DS3. I have a G27, but since I play GT so little these days, it's back in its box.

oops old edit :dunce:

You sure about this time? maybe 43.139?
yay i made OP.
when i made the post i first left the spaces around the "-" out but then i came back to it, and thought, "it would be easier for the guy copy pasting it if there are spaces."

I knew that my attention to spaceation will finnaly get me the e-fame i deserve!:D

Sorry I couldn't update the leaderboard today. It'll be updated tomorrow.

Don't worry about it, I had lots of time as well, and re-did the OP. I also updated all the times up till now. :)

Lotus 97T-Monza :

No ABS, gearbox classic, cockpit view : 1.23.011.

:)

I take a lot of pleasure to drive this car!

Now, direction Brand Hatch 👍

Came back to GT6 yesterday after a few months off. I really enjoyed these Senna events and theres definitely improvement to be had.

DFGT, ABS = 0, TC = 0
DAP Racing Kart @ Stowe:
59.683

WSR '83 @ Brands Hatch:
42.940

Lotus 97T @ Monza:
1:24.542

Lotus 97T @ Brands Hatch:
1:06.281. Tried this countless times last night. Gave up on a 1:09.129. Came back to it this morning and got it on my third lap. Reckon there's at least another second and a half to be shaved off if I tidy up the second half of the lap. Found all the speed i was lacking on Druids and Hawthorne's Bend.

Edit: Some of your times around Brand's are immense. Great job!

Stage 1: 59.803
Proof:

Stage 2: 43.128
Proof:

Stage 3: 1:24.935
Proof:

Stage 4: Not yet attempted.
G27 Racing Wheel, Abs 1

(I'm slightly rusty after two months off)

I've won all the Senna Challenges and got the cars. However, when driving the rewarded cars (WSR '83 & Lotus 97T) in free run on the same tracks, they seem different and struggling to match the times (with Racing Soft tires)

Can anyone confirm if the cars are tuned differently from the Senna Challenges?

If so, any tuning to share that closely resembles to Senna Challenges?

probably, whoever did the tuning for that challenge wasn't very good because that car can turn a whole lot better than that
