Did you beat Senna's record: post your best time.

For myself, I found each of these events quite easy to Gold. After a few laps on each getting the feel for the car/track, I was able to Gold them all in 3-5 laps. Not very much of a challenge in my opinion but hey, at least it gave me something different to do for a short time. Using a G27 with only ABS 1 btw. I'm not a fan of these types of cars (or Senna himself, but I do respect what he has done with his life and career) so I doubt I'll be returning to better my times, its just not my cup of tea. Good luck to those chasing top times and enjoy the new content.

Times were easy to beat for me after learning cars & tracks.
I did the F3 and Lotus with clutch/manual trans, no aids/0 ABS on wheel.

Biggest issue I had getting gold was that I didn't know the '80s tracks' versions.
Have to say, I think '80s Monza flows much better than present-day configuration.

Really liked the addition of the cones on Stowe back straight too.
B/B adjustment via RA menu too! That made it much easier for 0 ABS!

Someone should make a list of the hardest events in GT history.

This'd be up there, alongside the X time trials in GT5.

Can anyone help me at least achieve silver on the brands hatch
Stage 4, lotus97t
I keep getting bronzes 1:12.942 and its really hard to better my time. Can anyone show me how they have their driver settings? Any help would be appreciated

I was very pleased that i could drive the f3 and Lotus using the clutch on my g27. I did all events no abs, no tc and manually shifted with my clutch on the f3 and Lotus..
Dap 59:473
F3 brands 43.039
97t monza 124.072
97t brands 106.917

These were all times in the tribute not free run. May have another go but will stick with clutch

Monza a few tenths below and BH GP (one that I didn't gold yet) a few above. Monza was basically "figure how this changed part works".

Here's my times

Kart: 58.630
F3: 42.707
Monza: 1'22.252
Brands: 1'06.630

Oh, and G25, no aids (apart from ABS1)

Another update and this time it's the 97T at BH.

New time is 1:05.195. :)
As with all previous runs, all aids off except ABS to 1 and using DS3 with default configuration.

turn TCS to 1 and active steering to strong. helped me allot with a DS3!

It bugs me that the 97T is obviously beefed up beyond what it could do in real life. If the lap he did at Brands Hatch was truly perfect, and something he'd never forget as it says in the game, then we shouldn't all be beating it by such large margins. I suppose the restart button is worth a bit of time over real life, as are racing softs (which I don't think are appropriate for the challenge), but still, people are beating his times by 5+ seconds. Also, is anyone else bothered by the fact that the cars are all labelled as Ayrton Senna cars in an Ayrton Senna dealer and are all somehow labelled as being Japanese? They should be in DAP, WSR, and Lotus dealers respectively.

Its not beefed up at all, its simply the choice of tyres that are wrong. If it were racing hards instead of softs only the aliens would be beating his times. The F1's in the 80's were running up to 900hp during races but upped the boost during qualifying to where cars had up to 1300hp.

its also probably something to do with the fact that being in an actual 97T would be allot more physically exausting, and just plain more difficult, than driving a simulation. and also, the tracks aren't 100% representations of their real life counterparts. for example, in real life, the road surface is probably allot more bumpy in some places. and finally, Ayrton Senna did it with a bunch of other, slightly slower F1's at the time, so all together, Ayrton had it allot harder than we do.

Heres my lap on the DAP Kart event ( 56.709)
theres a little more in it :)

Fair enough

Took me an hour to get 1:09...over another hour, I have not successfully completed a single lap trying to beat that time. I think I've had enough for today.

guys Im not very familiar with those F1 cars in 80s, but what those F1 drivers did in the past was not using a "sequential shifter" on the the wheel, for those GT6 racers using a wheel to drive Lotus 97T, are you using a clutch instead? What clutch mechanism does the 97T has?

took me about as long, if not longer! god its hard! i eventually got 1:08.6xx, but maybe ill try and get gold later!

Got a 56.575 with the Kart. Not even close to happy with my other times. I'm 4 seconds off the pace at the Monza one.

42.127 on Brands with the WSR. Not great but better than where I was before.

1:18.802 at Monza. 3 second improvement but still need to find another one.

S1 Kart=Gold 59.884
S2 WSR F3 1983= 43.104
S3 Part 1=Gold 1:24.878
S3 Part 2 Brands Hatch=Silver 1:07.595

Need 4 tenths of a second for Gold on the last one...

My fastest lap time with the Lotus 97T '85 @ Brands Hatch is 1:06.814

I saved the replay and the best lap replay but in both cases the replay fades to black a couple of seconds before the lap actually ends.
