Did you beat Senna's record: post your best time.

That's impressive. Have you uploaded a replay of your lap or is there someway people can download the ghost?
I can't imagine where Id find that much time.

Quickly tried these again, not exactly the smoothest laps I've done... G27, ABS 0 (brake balance 5/8).

Monza: 1:17.921
Brands Hatch: 1:03.911

The technique that helped me is to brake as late as possible and to stay off the throttle through the corners until you know you can floor it again. The car tends to understeer a lot even if you use only a little throttle through the corners, so stay off it completely until you're sure that it's safe to accelerate again.

This worked for me. Also I would say stay clear of the curb stones - one is sure to spin in some of them. Also for the DS3 players - I feel your pain. Played it shortly with DS3 before digging out my wheel. The turbo kick of that lotus is "a bit" tricky with DS3.. :ouch:

Okay, here's my time for Lotus 97T Brands Hatch GP circuit 80's is 1:07.169, Monza 80's 1:25.084, for F3 Brands Hatch Indy 0:43.140, and Kart Silverstone Stowe 1:00.000

Had a go at this, only time trial I spent a bit more time on was the WSR F3 car at Brands Hatch. I did two times in the 42.0XX and it was bugging me to go below 42s barrier so managed a 41.980 in the end. Quite a few tenths left in it though. I drove with no driving aids and no brake balance change (Didn't check if it is possible but going by on here it may be possible). Didn't spend much time on other events as went back to play GT5 for first time in a long time before the servers closed.

I'm reffering to the car and track, not the scenario (which I'm well aware wasn't replicated as no console sim ever does. Even Codemaster's attempts aren't nearly as spot on (though not as hilariously far off as Activision)
The whole point of event was to replicate the scenario. Monza I think they did worst job in terms of lap time.

I would've said Luca Badoer, but maybe its just me. Its a console sim so I wasn't expecting them to go that far and as I said, rarely does any console sim actually does replicate the scenario.

Point is though, you're making it seem like nobody is having a hard time with this, all the while there are posts (including mine) that are saying they aren't (mostly regarding the Brands Hatch portion). I don't even know why you had to quote my post regarding how this was a dream come true to me as it had nothing to do with this and I simply expressed how I was excited I was that I've been given an official challenge of beating a drivers time (as opposed to making my own).
I think it wouldn't been that hard to make margins much smaller by changing the tyres. Also the way the cars drive I think are ruined by the tyres used. I tried the event and just don't like the way the cars handle, doesn't feel very realistic.

What I am trying to say is it should be much harder to get Gold. I know a number of people may struggle to get Gold or even Silver but doesn't change the scenario of trying to beat Senna's time. I quoted it because you said the following in it, "beat the qualifying records in their exact configurations with the exact car is huge" which is something I don't think is the case.
I'd much rather they separate the prizes from the achievements and introduce a platinum trophy, pre-tested to be very difficult to achieve. Make the bronze time relatively easy and give all the meaningful prizes out for achieving that. Then make the silver and gold as tough or a little tougher than they are now, and platinum something perhaps only the top 5% of pilots could attain to give it some real status. No prizes, just a virtual trophy saying you achieved platinum that perhaps shows up when you go online or wherever.
I would like that as well although top 5% I don't think would change much. It will be more interesting maybe if they did an authors trophy with Kaz setting the times, at least then we know he played the game like the older games.

Main thing in this event is Gold times by Senna should be difficult to beat but sadly it is not as difficult as it should be.

And I will be updating it. :P

I'm happy with those results :)

I think at least for Monza they should have gone with Racing Medium, clearly with softs that one people are way ahead, even with a DS3. For Brands I think they have it about right to enable DS3 users to get it without extensive practice like the old Vettel challenges on PS3. They were do-able with DS3 but only after hours and hours of practice.

No, I dislike the handling of the black F1 car. 👎

Too slippery. 👎
Got silver on the Monza track, but didn't can only get bronze on the other one, smh i'm done with this 🤬.

If you're ranking yourselves in these events, does that mean you can't have ABS? I got a particularly good time at Monza but that was with ABS on 1.

I don't have my times in front of me, but I've golded everything but the Brands F1 (got silver so far).

I got golds quicker than I would have thought since getting golds in Seasonals is usually kind of difficult for me without expending a lot of time and effort.

Regardless, I thoroughly enjoyed this content. Very well done. The thing I like about GT is there's always something to learn.

I've noticed the lotus is pretty understeer when sub 120 mph or so. Above this aero seems to play a part and you can make turns at amazing speed. Drop mich below and power too early and you'll understeer onto curbs and in my case get chucked off the track.

Monza: 1:18.633
Brands GP: 1:06.910

Was getting a bit tired of the car by the time I got round to Brands, so just got the gold and quit. About .7-8 left in the Monza one as well. 👍

Finally! So happy! Took me a while but very much worth it! :D

Got gold on all the other challenges but don't have the times to hand, though they don't seem as impressive as that time, given how much harder it was to get :P

I quoted it because you said the following in it, "beat the qualifying records in their exact configurations with the exact car is huge" which is something I don't think is the case.

So aside from the scenery, this is not the exact track configuration that Senna drove at, this isn't the exact car that he did it in? Last I checked, all this happened in 1985 so its pretty periodically correct to me.

I'm not sure about my other times but at Brands Hatch I hit a 1.04.981 with a bit of practice and a chunk of time lost in the fast right handers.

I got within a second of Gold on my first lap at Monza and thought, "well, I guess the most difficult part is behind me." Almost 6 seconds off at Brands Hatch and many attempts since have not exactly cut that down much at all. This is going to be difficult.
