An old BMW, do not remeber this layout:

It's a 2002 touring.

2010 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition

I went to the show two days ago with a trader's pass, however it was far from what I thought it would be. Seeing how I got my tickets from someone who works in the auto import export government division, I thought traders meant that it was for dealers or importers, but it turned out to be for anyone who were interested in buying the cars at the show.

I arrived at the show amidst thousands of people, it was pretty crowded, and some exhibits would only let you near the car if you were seriously considering buying the car. This was especially true for higher end cars and those exhibits near the entrance, since everyone who just entered the show wanted to get in a fancy car immediately.

That was all fine, what really pissed me off was how most of the people squeezing to the front near the rope lines were photographers. They are photographers who wanted to shoot the extremely pretty models, and only the models. Most of them weren't at all interested in cars, so I often have to wait till the models take their breaks in order to be able to get to the cars unobstructed for some nice photos. After about half an hour of shooting like this, I simply gave up on the more mundane cars and only spent time waiting to shoot the interesting stuff. Still, I gotta hand it to the models, my friend and I both agreed that most of them are very very high standard. Certainly higher than previous shows I've seen.

Anyway, as I didn't risk getting trampled on to shoot the models, most of my shots are the cars. There are a few lovely ladies in there, one of whom had drawn a REALLY big crowd of people. I'll let you decide.

Ferrari 458 Italia I was half expecting to see this car at the show, but I was still surprised. Maybe because it'll be the first sighting on this forum? Nonetheless, great looking car, looking forward to seeing it on the road. Someone bought one during the 30 minutes I spent finding a good spot to shoot.

Ferrari 599 GTO, no doubt someone bought one of these too.

No it isn't... but this on the other hand...

is flat-out incredible, such a color!!! big picture of this, PLEEEEASE?

Didn't have the round taillights :(

IMG_0020-3.jpg

No it didn't because it is a 1970, round-taillamp Chargers are 1968. Epic car though. Big, too?

also, 1937 BMW is an amazing spot. You're on fire lately...

Here's a couple of the top-picks from a local Swap Meet and Show And Shine. The last car, sadly, wasn't in the SNS which is disappointing because it would have stolen the show instantly. That and the picture that I THOUGHT turned out clear as day was actually a bit blurry when it came time to review the photos. Nevertheless, hope you enjoy, but beware dial-up users, these are the full 10MP shots.

Old Commodore drag car, think it's a VB:

Mustang Mach 1:

Ford Falcon XY GT:

Chrysler Charger:

No real idea what this was but it looked awesome:

Holden Torana SL/R:

Ford XB Fairmont:

Hard to tell if this is actually genuine, but it LOOKED proper, a 1968 Dodge Charger R/T. It's LHD, got a 440 under the hood and apparently puts out 600hp at the wheels. Very, very nice.

Some pics from the FIA GT at Silverstone this weekend...

There was a GTR club meet too from what I could gather, also Vipers are pretty rare in the UK. The race car pics are primarily BMW Z4GT3 and Alpina B6 GT3 :P

More pictures from Silverstone. As well as the Aston One-77 (a car with absolutely no presence whatsoever, although that's possibly because I only saw it in large, open spaces) there was a Dubai plated Ferrari F50, and an assortment of other supercars, including a De Tomaso Pantera. There was around 10 Audi R8s, 2 dozen GTRs, and many, many 911s, hence only a small selection here. Others I haven't posted were about 6 Gallardos, an F355, a few 360s, a 456, a 550, a 599, a few Rapides and DBSs, an SLR and a Ford GT.

A Sagaris, 2 R8s, a Supra, a Morgan, a Maserati Gran Turismo and a Jaguar XKR. Try and spot them all:

please PLEASE tell me you have a picture of the entire car. I WANNA see it.

And Nismo, awesome car show... I wish I lived in the states -_- blegh... not in Arizona, tough, haha

That flamed Dode pick up is awesome!!! The "not really sure" is a too-much-modded 1947 Mercury, the Old Ford is indeed a 1951 Ford, the Procharged Nova looks pretty damn serious, too! The Taxi is indeed a Rambler, 1963 I think, The Galaxie 500 is a 427 car, awesome machine, and the Merc is indeed a Merc, 1950.

Something that was open since a while, a club I'm part of (but not very active) did organise a regularity criterium:

2010 Coffs Coast Rally - Australian Rally Championship Round 3

These pictures were taken at the remote service park for the event. Unfortunately the top teams had already left the service park by the time I got there, so I could only take pictures of the state and club rally competitors as well as a few of the Australian Rally Championship competitors who had mechanical issues or damage.

I went to the Liverpool Pageant Of Power in the city centre on Tuesday evening and got to see some pretty amazing cars, think it might be a while before I see some of these again! It was a great show, especially considering it was free, with an aerial display, motorbikes, jetski’s and power boats.

It was busy so apologies for some of the low quality shots, not easy tracking a moving car when you’re holding a camera above your head!
