Thanks, from my understanding it's a pretty rare car, especially the 1968 model that it was. And then being a 4bbl 390 on top of it. I talked to the owner, and he seemed pretty nice. I was thinking about talking him into letting me ride down the track with him.

Yes it is a pretty rare car. I have only seen a couple of them. A friend and I was thinking about buying the one we found. Never did though.

I don't know if you watched the video I posted above of it racing, but it utterly trashed a modern 6.2L GTO. All my friends were drooling over it. Couple of them never saw one before. In the video you can hear my buddy talking about "who makes AMC" :lol:

Yup, some decent spots there slashfan. Love the Lime Green Cuda and the AMCs.

Okay, my turn; here's some pics from the car show at the ford dealership I went to yesterday.

That what it was. I remember reading it on the back of the car now. Thanks.

@random

Yeah the Cuda was a sight to see especially a 1971. I thought it was a challenger in the distance because it had quad headlamps.

That MG either has a V6 or a V8. The Olds is a Cutlass, I don't see any 442 badges?

And the LSX V8 BMW is 100% awesome. Nothing odd about that, forget the BMW purist. Let 'em eat dust..:P:D

Above the drivers side reflector/light it says W-30 in transparent letters and then the badge right in front of the door, when I zoomed in, was big letters that said 442. It might not actually be a W-30 car though.

Ok maybe? I can't zoom in that much I guess. I just see what looks like a Cutlass badge. Most true 442's that I've seen don't say Cutlass. They are 442's and the name Cutlass stays off the car or is in small print. Only the 442 badge is displayed largely in red and yellow block letters. I can't see it so that's why I'm calling it a Cutlass.

A W-30 has a cold air, duel snorkel air cleaner. I don't see that either. Still could be a W-30 though, just from a glance, doesn't look it.

Speaking of duel snorkels.:eek::drool:

The red Nova/ChevyII with Duel Snorkel indicates the L-79 engine option, 350hp 327ci small block. That's a fairly rare car. There's one here for sale locally around 80K.:crazy:

From a local charity track day:

To be sincere, I had no idea whatsoever of the car you asked me to id. Then I went to your Flickr and saw your pic in it's biggest form. Didn't have a problem reading "1935 Armstrong Sideley Long 20 Landaulette", in that notebook thing in front of the car. So it's a 1935 Armstrong Sideley Long 20 Landaulette

I also downloaded the 700 hp Skyline pic because 700 hp Skyline.

Those are some awesome classics up there. And that FR-S looks a little out of place :lol:

Just learned that this photo helped sell a friend on a 2014 BMW M6 Gran Coupe. He's been interested in upgrading to either M5 or M6 GC for a while, but this picture sealed the deal. His will be in the same color too.

So basically that's a $130,000 photo now :sly:

In today's world, people change things. What might have been that way stock the only sure way of tellig what the car is is by the vin number.

Went to the drag strip tonight and had an epic time. Best part was getting a ride in a blue 1970 Mustang Mach 1 with a 351 Cleveland down the track. Was so epic. Had Boss 302 taillight housings on it too.

I'll have videos and pictures up here pretty soon. The AMC AMX from last week was back and had a new carb on it, so he was trying to get it dialed in. I got another video of it racing again, and I accidently said the wrong time of like 8.xx and it was really 8.2. Smoked a Z51 C6 Vette.

Also got a video of a lawnmower with a wheelie bar running a 9 second 1/8th mile. I lol'd.

The blue Mach 1 below was the car I rode in.

This one, I'm sorry its hard to see but it's an AMC Javelin. Was a nice spot.

I will have the videos up soon, gotta upload them to YouTube.

Yes.:) I understand this very well. That's why there're more 427 tri-power Vette's around than Chevrolet ever produced. It was a time before proper VIN's.

It could be real W-30 442 though. I'm not even trying to read the VIN. I can't even zoom in on the fender.:lol:

Hey

1/8 mile is for people who quit at half track.:P

1/8 mile is for people who quit at half track.:P

Damn right it is haha. The only reason I go is because it's fun and convienent. Its as that far away as the 1/4 mile track is.

Here is the first video, this is the car I rode in just not this video.:

Excuse me for this one, the correct time for the AMX is 8.2, not 8.7. I had a hard time seeing the time through the fence.

Anyone know what this other car he raced was? Not too sure.

Best part of the night, riding in the 1970 Mustang Mach 1.

Lawn mower runs the track in 9.2 seconds. Complete with a wheelie bar.

My buddy racing his GMC Sierra 1500 305 V8. Ran a 10.97 (correction).
