I didn't see anything interesting in there except the 2 BMW's (Z4 and older 5 series) in the second to last pic.

Toyota Supra - Good job.
Some old Cadillac - No.
Chevy Malibu - Ew.
Chrysler 300M with go-faster Stripes - That needs to go in the Questionable Mods thread. And it's not rare.
Camaro - It's not even an SS.
1gen Escalade, Mercedes-Benz SLK - Both are pretty good.
Old Trucks - No..
Wrangler - Another no.
BMW Z4 - Okay.
Mustang - So much no. I hate people who see a Mustang and say "OMG EZ MUSTANG SO NICE N RARE WOW AMAZE"

The purpose of the thread is to post things that are actually good, not just whatever happens to catch your attention. I realize not everyone knows enough about cars to know what's "good" or not, but come on, a PT Cruiser? An Altima? A Camry? An obviously abused Neon? I see each of those at least once a day, as well as more of the stuff from your post. Occasionally posting a dud is one thing, but only 4 or 5 of the cars in all of your pictures on the previous page have actually stood out as anything more than mundane. I'm not insulting your taste in cars, everyone has their own stuff and I recognize that some people just love cars in general, but a little discretion in what's posted here would be great, since half the last page would sell for less than $4k(individually) on Craigslist.

I can't tell you what to do, though, I'm just saying how I feel, so I'll just shut up and post the only good thing I've been able to take a picture of all week:

There we go, the Supra is a good spot.

Nah, not mean, honest. I just like the American stuff.

That's fine, just don't post common stuff though. If you like american, try finding classic muscle cars, hotrods, old pickup trucks, dodge vipers, or corvettes. I also suggest getting to know a bit more on cars first before uploading a picture. Make sure it's rare or interesting.

As usual, sorry about the crap quality. Don't like to take my camera along for fear that it'll get stolen, especially now since my car doesn't have any camera-sized storage areas.

An unmolested Prelude Si! Could be the original owner as well, seeing as that style of plate hasn't been handed out for at least fifteen years (though you can still order it as a vanity plate), and it also has two plate stickers, which were phased out several years ago.

Is that the same SLS you saw at the B-J car show earlier this month?
Or was that one silver... hmm...

Seriously, Dagger, I think we're a pretty helpful and open group in general, but you astound me when you go on and on about loving Corvettes, but you think a Cava****inlier might be one, and then you actually get a photo of one and have no idea. And you post really nothing but crap except for what's accidentally included in the pic. Supra, dude. And don't say cause it wasn't American, because the main car in that photo is also a Toyota.

You need some serious work before you'll be appreciated in this thread. Maybe ask your dad to identify the cars for you first and tell you if they're good or not. But not here. You're loading the pages with junk. Anything with shiny wheels seems to get your attention. Maybe start your own thread asking people for help with identifying cars until you get the hang of it and then you can come back and post here. But seriously, until you figure out what you're missing, please stop.

In other news, Nismo Juke, my first. It got up to 34 degrees today, so I saw about 4 neat cars in 15 minutes just between after work and dark.

And, my first 4 series? Anybody know which model? Caught my eye from a distance.

Hey, should I post a 2014 Camaro when I find one or would that be considered too common?

They've been out long enough that it wouldn't necessarily be considered a great spot, at least not to me. Now if you saw one within maybe a month of release? Sure. I don't know when the '14 Camaro was released, but I've seen a handful of them on the roads recently.

Good point, that's why I haven't took a picture of one. Meh, I'll just keep an eye out for the SS or Z/28.

Oh, the 2014 Camaro is a redesign? Didn't know that, but I've seen at least 2 now, thought of taking a photo of one today, but figured if they weren't yet, they'd soon be common. I don't even shoot SS Camaros (current gen, older, yeah) just ZL-1's. So maybe when the redesign gets ZL-1's I'll snap some shots.

Actually, what I thought was my first sighting of a new Corvette (just caught the taillights at a distance in my side-rear view mirror, really...) might have been a redesign Camaro... were they out last Sept?

Edit, and somebody should say, @Team THRT Drift, that must have been a big surprise finding that old Pontiac sheltered away there in Panama! Looks to be in great shape, too!

And, I always like seeing those old MR-2's and Si Preludes (supposedly rare, but I've got photos of at least 5 different ones... still like 'em, tho!)

I'm lol'ing harder than I should be at @Dagger311's posts. I mean that in a good way, of course, we could use some humor in this thread. I don't mean any disrespect. At least you're trying.

Aaaanyways, here are a few cars I spotted today and yesterday:

Okay, I have never seen an SVX in real life:

These are such cool cars. Despite the fact they're somewhat common, they don't get old to look at. This is actually the first one I've seen in a while:

Okay, now when the heck did these things happen? I had honestly never heard of them until I saw the blue one, and then I saw two in two consecutive days:

I concur with Jeff's statement. It really does blow my mind that someone who loves Corvettes sees a Cavalier and thinks it's a Corvette because of a badge. And then sees a Corvette without realizing it... In not trying to sound mean but it's the truth.

And additionally, it really feels like you're looking outside for the first time, seeing all these cheap family cars from the 90's and think they're remotely interesting or rare. It's like you're taking a pic of every car you see in the road.

I, and every one else, can tell you're looking to learn about every car. Perfectly acceptable and normal for a car fan. This is my advice:
You take pictures of the back of cars, tags and all. Google that and see what comes up. Wikipedia is perfect for this.
Don't take a picture of something because it's shiny. Take the Supra for example. Snap a pic if the body of a car is unique or something very uncommon- the little bubbly Hondas and Toyotas and Cavaliers are not and never will be interesting. They're cheap eco boxes. If a car is low and angle-y, odds are that's worth a pic.
Like others have said, go through the pages of this thread. Seriously, it will help. Not all 1000 pages or whatever, but try the last 10 or so.
If all else fails, I'd be more then happy if you start your own thread that funnels into here. It's a challenge for me (and others) to identify each and every car on the road, new or old, and sometimes our towns get dry and nothing remotely cool shows up for a week, and we could help you there.

Again, some of that comes off mean and uninviting, but it's the truth and we're willing to help. Just not in this thread.

None of this stuff sounds mean, I understand I post some bad cars here.

Oh, and I was 99.9% that was a vette, I just didn't see a badge on it, so I wasn't sure.

And about the old trucks, I got several, some people liked them, some didn't. That's actually why I find it hard to get a good spot. It's so subjective. Someone liked that corner of the dodge pickup next to the cavalier, I found a couple of even older trucks, they're dismissed.

Anyway, I think I will make a car identification thread, post my pictures there, and just take the good ones here. Everyone seems to think that would be best until I get an idea about what cars are nice.

The biggest problem for me is, when I'm walking down the road, sometimes I have less than a second to attempt an I.D, pull the camera up, and take a picture. So I just skip the I.D, and post it here.

Oh, and I took a picture of the mustang because I had never seen one with that badge.

Anyway, I would have replied sooner, but I took some Nyquil last night.

It's a first generation sti actually. Anyway, a very good spot. I love the first gen imprezas!

Thanks for the info. Post updated. I could have sworn there was another STI before this but, I guess not lol.

Either way, it's parked literally 70 meters from my house (In a direction I often don't go), so I'll have to get some pictures with my good camera in better light.

Hey, should I post a 2014 Camaro when I find one or would that be considered too common?
Funny thing is I saw my first one on the way down to Florida last month. Got a clean picture of it at night by some miracle and was so happy and planning to post it here. Two weeks go by and I swear I counted at least 30 of them, so I just scraped all the pictures I took of them. But I haven't seen a single one in the past month of being in my home state, so I guess that's one of those thing that sorta depends on where you are.

^Those were likely rented Camaros. When I was in Key West, the Camaro convertible and new Mustang redesign had just been released and they were everywhere. I've only seen one of the '14 Camaros here in Indy, but I probably wont take a pic if I see another one unless it's a special model.

So, there was this odd truck in the Howard Hanna parking lot tonight...

you may be able to guess why it was there from a clue in the 1st photo...
