I always take photos of the older ones, and holy cow buried in snow! that one made me lol. But MR-S's are fairly common. Nice to see, and really a neat car, bet their owners love them. But not uncommon.

Love the two Porsches driving together, that must've been nice to see!

And, don't start a post with R32 unless you're going to follow that with a Skyline! All I saw was the R32 at the bottom of my page so when I scrolled down... Must admit I also take photos of VW R32's every chance I get, also a great car. But the TT and kind-of-old Merc...??? Don't see what's good in that. Or the Range Rover, really, not old enough either for me... and it says 4.0 on the back, not 4.6.

Not in my book tbh. It hasn't got to the point where I see them every other week yet and until then, it's not going in my personal common category.

Ah... I guess I stopped after about 4 photos of them. I probably see one a month, there are definitely 20+ in Cleveland here and there still being driven a lot. As I said, neat cars for sure, just don't quite stand out on my rare radar... And weren't expensive to begin with. But they're uncommon enough that local variations may be expected, perhaps Cleveland has just a few more, and other places have just a few fewer, so that I may see one a month while others only have 2 or 3 within 100 miles and may only see 1 a year...

Wait, there's 20+ of those in Cleveland?
I just somehow find that funny.

Old Opel.

That's a seriously good looking little coupe. I love the proportions and the black stripe is cool and subtle. Nice find!

H-hey, is that Bruiser behind it?

It is indeed! Well spotted. :sly:

I see plenty of MR-Ss around here, but maybe more were sold in the UK. Not that uncommon for me, either. Mind you, WRX STis aren't uncommon for me either, Huddersfield must be the Subaru capital. I can easily see (or hear :sly:) at least one or two a day, most of the time different ones.

Well yeah, the commoness of a car is subjective in some cases. A car like a Impreza WRX Sti can be commonly seen in one part of the world and not in another part of the world. In my case, an Impreza wrx sti isn't quite seen everyday. The cars I commonly see are mostly just modern Mustangs, Camaros, and C6 Corvettes.

Exactly. Mustangs, Camaros and Corvettes are very uncommon here. Crown Vics are even more rare, yet extremely common in the US.

My neighbor has a crown Vic, it never leaves it's parking space. I can see it anytime. I can also step towards the highway for an hour and see fifty.

However, unless I go to the Ferrari/Maserati dealership in Marietta, I'll never see either of those.

In finland you see like on of each in a year, mostly because for example a base mustang costs like 60K new and i am not sure do they even sell them here. That will change with the new mustang probably :). Corvettes and camaros well, the only way to drive a corvette is exporting one with high taxes. Camaro is like the mustang 60k and kinda rarity for the dealerships. Most cars you see here are BMW 3s and 5 and their competitors, with the smallest engine ofcourse.

and that's part of why I enjoy this thread so much, seeing the different perspectives from people that live in different parts of the world. It's fun for me to see how rare something is in one part of the world in comparison to another part.

Sheesh, 60k for a V6 Mustang? I could buy a Shelby GT500 over here with that much money.
As for BMWs, those are still quite common here aswell; I always see a normal 3 series or 5 series.

Crown Vics are actually pretty uncommon here (other than a couple aging police cars), but I think that's just isolated to my import-biased area. I almost never see MR-Ss as well, but I wouldn't take a photo of one unless it was modified.

So, I was driving around the island the other day, and I came to the bottom of a steep hill...
..then I stumbled across this..

This. During the summer it's muscle car palooza around here. You can't go anywhere without seeing an old Mustang, Corvette, Duster or Camaro. If you even so much as see a Lamborghini or other supercar, it's like God came down from heaven and drove it there. Never once have I laid eyes a Ferrari in New York, never seen a Murceilago, never seen a Ford GT, never seen an SLS AMG, pretty much you name a supercar and I've never seen it. I've seen maybe 2 Gallardo's, the occasional 1980s 911, 1 Panerama or whatever it's called, and exactly 1 R8. But you can bet I've seen every muscle car under the sun. No one around here gives a damn about any of the Euro supercars. Everything is strictly big ass pickup truck or muscle car, and if you drive anything else, especially an econobox, you can GTFO.

But seriously, that's how it is around here. It's cool (at least to me), but at the same time it's a shame.

That's America in a nutshell, city or country, classic muscle vs modern super. I lived in the country the past couple years, but with business in the city, and now live in the city (but don't much get into the finer sections now, which I regularly dipped into last year...) Actually, a lot of classic muscle in the city, too, but no modern super in the country, to be sure, not usually.

That's why this is one of my most memorable spots, waaaaaay out in the middle of nowhere, more likely to pass an Amish buggy on the road than a car, even. Very early in the morning, couldn't get my camera out fast enough...

If only I had my camera at my dad's today, I saw something interesting...
A Chevrolet Captiva, which, according to a quick search, wasn't sold in the U.S. It had U.S. license plates though, so I'm confused. Also, I saw another oddity, a Saturn Astra badged as a Vauxhall, also with correct plates. How come I never have my camera with me?
