Oh, excuse me for not knowing that a Porsche, which looks similar to a Mazda, is a 944 when I have no knowledge of that general field of cars. This isn't an excuse. It's called a missed opportunity. We used to have members who would turn around & even follow the cars to get a decent pic. They are the people who used to make this thread. Now you have people calling a 944 Porsche a Mazda, and then being corrected that it's a 993 from the late 70's. Bad pictures + no knowledge of cars = why we've had pictures of Cavaliers, for 🤬 sake.
.
This thread isn't for you. This thread didn't make it to 1,200 pages based on a guessing where cars were. It made based on the contributions of Doug & several others.
I could contribute to this thread as much as anyone else, but I see the quota for garbage pictures is already filled.Oh, excuse me for not knowing that a Porsche, which looks similar to a Mazda, is a 944 when I have no knowledge of that general field of cars.
I don't see you ever contributing to this thread, stop criticizing everyone else.

wow, sounds like you're having a great vacation, Beeblebrox!
and looks like a 1983 S130 280ZX non-turbo to me...
and, didn't get to go spotting yet today, though 76 degrees, warmest of year, and no chance of rain. Just after finishing tutoring my math student, made it about a mile up the road and had to stop and call my dad (mechanic) to ask if I should tow or drive home, as my front driver side brakes were squeaking god-awfully, and were engaged enough to bring me quickly to a stop once I was under a few mph. He said caliper frozen, fine to drive home... and it seemed to work itself out.. I still took the wheel off and wrenched on it a bit, but saw there was no way for me to lubricate without disassembling everything, which would mean replacing gaskets and such that I don't have on hand... went around the block, no feeling of undesired braking... may go out again now to spot some more...
but on the way to tutoring, didn't even get to a main road...

Yes, the old thread, hence why Giles created this thread. The pictures aren't even a major part of the thread. In the old thread, people justl isted what they saw. You're telling us what you saw today, not what you photographed today.
You kids and you're inability to respond without flying off like a 6 year old. The reason why Cars in General went to the toilet bowl. These were some of the last 8 entries to the thread. 🤬 off, and good day.

Oh well. If he's going to criticize people for not knowing a car they have no interest in, never contribute to the thread, and for posting a (clear view) of a car really far away, that's too bad.Too far.

Like I said, I could contribute more, but some of you already fill the thread with bad photos. No one wants to see my photos of blurred Maseratis & GT-Rs in addition to them.Oh well. The funny thing is it wasn't even really directed at him, but the guy who acted like he knew exactly what it was; wrong generation & year by miles. If you're referring to the Porsche gaffe, then I'd say it's best to keep quiet and let someone who knows their stuff figure it out.
I didn't say anything except "is this an old Nissan or Mazda?" Someone responded with 70's Porsche, next person said another thing. I didn't say anything after that because, as before, I didn't know what it was. I was keeping quiet. If you're referring to the Porsche gaffe, then I'd say it's best to keep quiet and let someone who knows their stuff figure it out.

And a lot of the pictures posted here are just like that... the minority are blurred. But hey, since I have to contribute to comment, might as well do it right.
I prefer spots that are taken while driving, not expecting to see anything on that intersection you pass by everyday.
Which is why they're better. When I take a picture of a car while driving at over 20 mph, I'm not looking at my phone. I'm still focused on the road but angle my phone to where the car is and spam the capture button.Except for the fact that that's kinda unsafe.

I think he means cars moving.

edit- 1/2 the time I'm stopped anyways, but it will be a little blurry if the other car is moving.
What is that?View attachment 141405 Took this when I was taking a corner kinda glad I got it. If I'm driving fast I don't take pics unless I'm a passenger.
That's why everyone probably will rarely see me take a picture of a car while on the move myself.Except for the fact that that's kinda unsafe.
From what I can tell, it is a 1971 Chevelle. What is that?
