What makes the Chevy rare?

Trailblazer SS.

SS[edit]

2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer SS
An SS model was introduced for the 2006 model year. This was the first time a production SUV wore the Super Sport badge.[6] But this wasn't just a styling package: this Trailblazer came standard with a 6.0 L LS2 V8 that was the same engine that came standard in the 2005-2007 C6 Corvette, with different exhaust (more restrictive) and a taller intake that better utilized the torque characteristics of the engine in this heavier vehicle. The suspension was stiffened up and lowered from the factory, it had an added air-leveling system in the rear, and it rode on 20" wheels and fatter tires---all which contributed to much improved handling. All Trailblazer SS's also came from the factory with 4.10 differentials, improving off-the-line acceleration. They were available in both 2WD and AWD configurations. About 7% of total Trailblazer production had the B4U SS-package.

Oh, okay. I can never tell those apart . I need to keep an eye out for them, I think I've seen a few around.

Protip:

On regular post-facelift Trailblazers (there was no SS model for the pre-facelift years), the body-colored bar only goes the length of the grille.

On the SS, the bar extends to the headlights.

The bumper's a lot rounder, and the two vents at the bottom are larger too. 👍

Alright, thanks. I'm positive I've seen some with SS on the badge, I'll remember to take a picture if I see one. 👍

Not really going to post a photo of it, though sadly I actually did take one, but saw a Prius today that made me look, look again, and finally take a photo, because it was 1st gen. I finally decided, I don't know when the last time I saw one of those, it just looked so odd I'm so used to the recent gens. Then I wondered, how many of them were actually made? That was before the Prius became trendy, so probably not many. And how many could possibly still be on the road? Just tried to search, came up with nothing, though I didn't try too hard. Anybody know the answers to either of these questions? And you're welcome that I didn't post the photo here, though it will be up on my Flickr at some point in time for some of the dorks who follow me...

I took a picture of a 1st gen Prius once. The owner was extremely surprised that I took a picture of it (I asked him since he was next to it). I'd say they're somewhat rare but not really rare or interesting enough to warrant a spot.

Cars from yesterday:

The F-Series stepside has been uncovered. Oh yeah, and there's apparently a modded Foxbody Mustang behind it.

and a Mazdaspeed3, the first one I've seen in a while.

A couple of cars this morning:

Saturn Ion Redline, these are actually very good, overlooked cars. It's Saturn's equivalent of the Cobalt SS essentially.

There was this F-150 SVT Raptor next to it.
