@Rue dude, I was checking out your Flickr the other day, I'm soooooo glad you're actually shooting for some motorsports bodies now, you fully deserve it. I'll try to remember to drop you a line over at Flickr, as the only way I had of contacting you (msn) has gone under now. We need to talk bud (:

Rue
Hey amigos! Paul mentioned that I had been brought up here recently. Sorry for being so slack for so long. Paul's right, I have been super-busy with both work and camerabatics. Had a few decent gigs in recent months being sent to a few places around Asia for some motorsports photography with more to come in 2015. Hopefully the start of bigger things. Haven't really done much snapping around town(s), but I guess I have a few things I can share with the class.
Good to see you posting here again Rue 👍
I have been following your flickr account for some time now, always nice.

Wow, @poolhaas had a great day of spotting! Love the Crown vs Colonies combo!

Dude you just can't come in and post that without telling us what are we looking at. This place is unbelievable.

he had a handout, and searching the web I found out a little more:
I found him as I was driving from California to Ohio on I-80, in Wyoming just past Cheyenne/just into the Great Plains. I saw a yard full of whirlygigs and doodads, which isn't unheard of. What made me stop was also seeing the front ends of the Kaiser and Lancer. Had to continue on I-80 for another 6 miles before there was an exit, but I didn't debate whether or not checking out what I'd glimpsed was worth a 12 mile detour.

The Kaiser aka "Brute", 1952 Kaiser body with a Willy truck bed, 2 ton front end with axle lengthened a foot to match the rear also 2 ton axle. 20 inch wheels. V8 with a 3 speed going into a 5 speed International truck transmission and winch on the back. Weight: 8000 lbs.

Not much to say about "Elsie", the 1962 Dodge Lancer converted from 4 door to 2 door, except he put 100,000 miles on it in 2-door form.

The Purple People Eater... Crosley/Ford hybrid, independent suspension, front 4 turn, rear 4 drive, can take a 65% grade, do 60mph on the road, and (deflating tires to 12psi) 40mph across range.

I still don't know what all those Fiat 1100's are doing in Wyoming...

I saw a wide range of cars at my last autocross, highlights for me were:

C7 ZO6 Corvette: I met one of the owners, really nice.

1989 Nissan Skyline R32 GTR: Didn't get to talk much to the owner, still seemed cool.

2014 Z28 Camaro: So basicly with the Z06 I got to see the fastest cars GM makes all in 1 day.

1971 Datsun 510:

Actually yes :). Usually don't snap pics while driving for obvious safety reasons however I spotted it behind me a minute or so before it went by so I was ready for a quick shot.

Glad you don't usually. The concept of a semi-truck driver taking pictures and selfies all day is terrifying

It sure is, they can wander into another lane pretty damn quick if you don't give them your full attention.

Went for a little tour of some of the Phoenix-Mesa area's eastern highways, but ended up finding this an hour from my house:

Back near my house (and the Barrett-Jackson grounds), I found a car I'd seen there last week:
