California lets you drive around on dealer plates until you get your actual plates, but a lot of people use this to their advantage and keep the dealer plates on for months to avoid paying toll or receiving fines from speed cameras.

Also, you are legally allowed to drive on promo plates for 6 months. Yes, its absolutely ridiculous. As Doog said, people can do plenty of illegal things without being caught since it could've been any new, black C-Class that ran the red and went through a toll without paying.

Although Steve Jobs never did have a real plate on his SL, this was because he leased a new one every six months, so it technically wasn't illegal. Whether he ran reds and skipped tolls, I do not know.

It was in front of the Bentley/Lamborghini/ Maserati dealership plus it had a regular plate on it. @GTRacer22 I have a Maserati dealership by my house the one in Detroit had the same stock.

Recent spots:

I saw a 4th Gen Camaro SS at my school.

I went to a movie theater this past weekend to see the new James Bond film and I caught this SL55 AMG there, with a bunch of chrome on it. Yeah, I kinda went on a rant about the chrome after seeing it.

When I was on my way home, I saw this Shelby GT500 in the lane next to me.

Well, this is my first wild spot of a Lotus. An Exige and I'm pretty sure it's the same Exige I missed months back.
