Pictures? Of a Corvette? Don't make me laugh. Why would he ever waste precious space on anything so pedestrian and plebian as a Corvette?

I don't know, I suppose I just have a craving to see a Corvette.

But just a question, did you actually take any pictures of the Corvette sitting next to the Diablo?

YSSMAN
@ JCE: Nice spot on the Altima coupe, I've yet to see one outside of a showroom or an auto show...

You're nuts!!! I've seen maybe fifty of them thus far - the first one more than seven months ago! They're all over the place. You must get out more, Brad! :D

Recent trip to cali...these are the only ones that turned out...

Yeah doug, take other countries' rarities into perspective, it's almost like you guys seeing a TVR

It would be nice to have a pic, even if you see more of them. It's like a Belgian seeing a Cayenne.

👍

You forget that I live in the land of the Impala and Taurus... I've maybe seen one as I can recall on the road, but thats been it. They simply haven't sold well around here. Come to think of it, I can't even recall seeing one at the dealer when I was there a while back looking at used Mazdas...

Either way, the Accord Coupe is better.

If I were to photograph every Corvette I saw, I could post twenty or thirty shots a day. There are several student-owned Corvettes (including a C5 Z06) on this campus alone. Believe me, you're better off just using Google Images to satisfy your Corvette-related desires. :)

I forgive you about the Corvette thing, that ^ just made up for it.

 It's a beautiful car - though more beautiful from the front. No real chance for a front shot though.

I thought about the Corvette thing today - I think I saw eight or nine in about an hour. I couldn't imagine if I treated them as exotics - I'd never put my camera down!

I know, I don't know why but the DB9 always seems to look much lower at the front than it does in press images for some reason. I wish I saw more DB9's around Lincolnshire. Now that would be nice. 👍

8 or 9 in a hour? Wow. I can certainly now see what you mean about them not being rare in the US. As an example in comparison to the UK, in my 8 years of car spotting I have only ever seen 1 Corvette on the road and it was in horrible condition.

Wow, its not fair that dicks get the cool cars. That's my favorite Skyline too. :grumpy:
+1. R33 FTW/

You have no idea. Corvette C5s & C6s are everywhere, esp. in the north. I catch maybe 4-6 every week, mostly C6s.

On Doug's spots, I feel bad that the Sport GT was produced in enough numbers to match the Quattroporte. I felt Maserati was going to make it & the Executive GT more exclusive models, but only the Exe. seems to be following that plan. Oh well. There's always the Sport GTS.

I suppose the region in which you live in the uk might have something to do with it too, ive seen 2 c3's, 3 or 4 c4's, at least 2 c5's and a single c6 (twice mind..) and thats only over the last 5 or so years that ive really been paying attention (and which my memory can remember)!

They'll always be exotics to me, but that being said, I know which ones are worth picturing and which aren't...

Good? Questionalbe. Rare here? Certainly. Chevrolet Impala estate station wagon.

Good on you, Roo.

Station wagons are generally cool, and some ol' Impalas ROCK. I'd give this one a 6/10. But if you wanted to make this car go indecently fast (around corners too) it's ridiculously easy with off the shelf parts. You could make yourself a proper sleeper with the addition of an injected 502, aftermarket suspension and some proper brakes.

If you wanted to make it ridiculously fast around corners, I wouldn't put a 502 in it. I put an LS7 or Lingenfelter LS2 in it.

Cleaning out my work phone and saw this. Taken this past july in my little town. Quite a rare find for me!! I actually had to pull over my company truck and get out my phone to snap this picture! I love this car. Have never seen it since.
