I'd rather drive a pink Nissan Micra CC with the hood down than walk on the same side of the road as a Maybach (just in case someone thought it was mine)

I don't get why everyone hates the Maybach so much! I mean I'm not exactly a fan, but comments like yours aren't in the minority. It's basically a Rolls Phantom without the obscene styling - what's so bad about it?!

It's like a Liberace styled S-class. Simon Cowell owns one. Enough said.

 Yeah, I know it leaves lots to be desired, but people respond so negatively to it I just don't think it's fair!

I know it's not a car but today I saw a MV Augusta F4. All I can really say is that they're tiny! For a 900 and something cc bike at least. Sounded nice, love those bikes.

Also saw a Toyota Celica 'GT'. Never seen one before, It had a body kit and rims but looked like it was all factory fitted. Any ideas?

I used to think that but in the last few weeks I've found myself seriously considering trips to Monaco and Southern California to see cars. I suppose Dubai could be arranged for the price of those two combined. I've just decided it's not worth living my whole life and only seeing certain cars in photos. I want to see a McLaren F1, for instance, and a Veyron, and if I have to go to Monaco to do so, then bring it on.
You should find out when the next Gumball is running and go to one of teh checkpoints.

I'd have loved to have been at the start of this years gumball in London

Last week I saw a Maybach driving down my street. And earlier today a dark blue Lamorghini Gallardo at the car wash. Tried to get my phone out in time to take a pic, but my dad drove off away from it.

Just wanted to drop in and mention what I saw yesterday.

In a place non-residents call New Orleans ;)
I saw a Lamborgini Diablo VT in bright Yellow (with a T-top).

That sucker was pretty amazing. Definately a rare breed of supercar. 👍
Amazingly low and wide, this car seemed to be bigger and lower than anything on the road.

I sort of wish they still made something as radical as the Diablo but at the same time I love the Gallardo and Murciellago (sp?). In any case, as usual, Lamborgini managed to impress me. :dopey:

Good spot:tup:

I don't get why people think the Murcielago (;)) is crazy. Nigh-on 600hp and 4WD?

Where I come from adding 4WD to something makes it wackier and a bit lairier.

Maybe people think this because it doesn't try to kill you at every bend, a la Diablo.

Only a couple of decent sighting in the last week or so, no pictures mind.

A blue Ferrari 360 vert stepping on it, sounded pretty nice.
and my sighting of the week:
A silver Porsche 911 Turbo vert, as he was driving away, the top went up :)

While in Niagara last night I was walking along and out of the blue this really low yellow doorstop drove past us, then it hit me. It was a yellow Lambo Murcielago Spyder! I was so damn envious cause in the passenger's side was some 10 year old kid just smiling his ass off......Also while navigating dowtown Toronto earlier this week a flat black Ferrari 550 Maranello just blew past us, we later caught up to the thing and to my amazement it had very bright and out of place looking stickers all over the car. It had Texas license plates on it and the custome plate read "BL FAST" I swear to god that car looked like it belonged in the Gumball rally! My aunt got a pic of the back of the car before it pulled away and hopefully she'll e-mail me the pick sometime this week and I'll post it up!

Hmm I think I know what this Flat Black Ferrari is doing here now....The Bullrun Exotic car rally that crosses in Toronto! Apparently famous celebrities are in it too, from Mario Andretti, Dennis Rodman to the stupidity of Paris Hilton!

I even found the page for the team driving the black ferrari! Too bad there isn't any pics of it on the site.

Look, I like your contributions, so I'm not going to get into an argument with you. The thing is, I tend to know stuff about unusual and otherwise rare production cars completely offhand; it's my one true subject of absolute knowledge, and I really dislike being questioned about it, particularly when I am correct.
So that is why we are always fighting. That explains everything.

A Lincoln LS.
Rare here.

I detailed an LS today, they are such a good looking car. And quite comfortable actually. I almost *gasp* enjoyed detailing it.

*McLaren*
Saw this ol' Rolls Royce today at Fry's.

I think it's a Silver Seraph, not sure.

I've seen that Roller too, is that the Plano Fry's? I saw it at the Irving and Plano Fry's myself.

Nevermind I see the Wells Fargo bank behind it, it's the Plano Pkwy Fry's . 👍

Oh and I saw these (MG roadsters?) on SH380:

I'll have to look for him again, though how many 2-tone Rolls are there in Texas with B-Bragg as the plate?

I may have seen one of those MGs. I've been spotting a lot of the little cars running around. And where were you? Dark clouds have been an unfamilar sight here for a while.

Someone in my town owns one of those MG Roasters I think. Maybe tomarrow i'll buy a throw away camera and take some shots around here.

O yeah those GTR Mustangs... Funny ****!
It has turbo rotary with headers?
Yeah! .. rofllmaolol

Being a Saturday, today was quite a good day. Starting with the "best of the rest" and moving on to "the best:"

July 29, 2006 - Denver, Colo.

The only really noteworthy (and not obviously so) car in that photo is the E36 M3 convertible. It might not seem like much, but that vehicle holds the dubious honor of the only vehicle ever debuted while being cancelled; it came out in 1998 while the regular E36 3-series was slated for the chopping block the following year. (the E36 3 was indeed redesigned to become the E46 for 1999, but the M3 lived on in E36 form for that year, and the success of that model's convertible inspired them to do it again, for the E46)

And now for "the best":

My third RS4 sighting; I posted my second somewhere in this thread as well. Lovely vehicle in a good color.

These are indeed two different vehicles - though I shot them at different times of day, they had two different types of license plate so they couldn't have been the same. In Denver we have one of the nation's largest (by volume) Maserati dealers, so Maseratis are usually relatively common and today they were very common. I'm not complaining though...

Not just an XLR - an XLR-V. The "V" stands for either "very cool" or "very rare," but probably the latter - it's just the second XLR-V I've seen. Note that unlike the standard XLR, the XLR-V goes for $97500 and has a 443-horsepower supercharged 4.4-liter V8. Most people just opt for a Mercedes, but this guy chose the Cadillac, and, in my view, he made a good move. They're among my favorite cars.

agn-3some.jpg

July 29, 2006 - Denver, Colo.

This is a $385,000-$400,000 photograph - too bad it's three vehicles. From left to right, a new S550, a 996 911 Turbo, and a Bentley Continental GT.

agn-viper1.jpg

July 29, 2006 - Denver, Colo.

I like Vipers, and I liked this one even more when I read the license plate. Two facts about this license plate: one, it was purchased between January 2000 and October 2004, long before the new Z06 came out (which could probably stomp this Viper in every measurable category). And two, like many people the owner has mistakenly specified the zero in "Z06" as a letter "O"; the zero is quite a bit rounder.

Vincent Chase is nearby...

Tonight was a good night for spotting what I deem "gateway exotics" - sort of like marijuana is a "gateway drug," stuff like the Viper and Conti GT are lead-ins to other, better exotics. Usually, however, the gateway exotics are presented with at least a few true exotics - but this time I was disappointed in that regard, with nothing spectacular to tie this group together. I'm not complaining though - it was a good night. I did see a 360 Modena much past dark, making a photo unavailable.

Toronado
Can't be. Looks more like a Corniche.

No no - it's a Silver Wraith II, a the long wheelbase version of the Silver Shadow seen in the upper left of my "best of the rest" shot. It was produced from the late '60s until 1980. The Corniche is a two-door, usually a convertible, and always has been.

Ahh, I didn't notice the rear doors (two-tone paint threw me off).
Edit: Also, that Viper being an RT/10, so long as said Z06 was the 405 BHP version it could also probably beat the Viper in every category.

Perhaps - I must admit I didn't know the specs were so similar.

Wow... M5Power.. I MUST beat you on good things to see.
I'm open to challenges!! It'd be a good time for all. The catch is you have to be able to photograph your sightings. If you can do that, then I'm down. :) (though do note I'm moving across the country in four weeks - admittedly to Atlanta, which will have just as good if not better cars)

Hmm... Sounds like I need to take a trip to San Fransisco. Maybe not, we do have a local Ferrari/Maseratti dealer, so some times we see people test drive them around. But here it's just alot of german sport cars. I can pretty much gurentee a 3000GT, and this old Firebird. Maybe a 3000ZX TT, which I absolutly adore :D

You'd probably beat me if you went in to San Francisco and just north (or down to Palo Alto) - the Bay Area is one of the best places to spot cars that I've ever been to.

Yes, but the sad thing is, you see alot of cars also ruined. I've seen riced out Vettes, and Porsches. It makes me cry. But man, i'd prob not make it to SF. I'm really that lazy, if i was gonna go, i would go with a friend that knows the bus system. Maybe i'll just shoot some shots and post them up here. Just to show my home town, and what people drive here. But people really don't spend to much on there cars here, it's more of the land price here is so high, they dont have the left over money to. :P Maybe i'll head down to a richy preppy area, maybe show you guys were Sean Penn lives :) But who knows M5. Who knows :)

1.00am this morning, a silver Lamborghini Gallardo was coming round the roundabout and I don't know how but he managed to come out of it badly and took the curb with him. Left side-skirt didn't look too good. :nervous:
