Looks like a bra. To keep rocks and road debris from scratching the car. Too bad they royally **** your paint up if you keep them on all the time.

Ha! Yeah, it's horrid eh! I guess it's one of those chip protecting 'car-bra' things. Looks like a Japanese pursuit car.

Any info on the Park Ward, Doug?!

Wow, a 270R!

What he said!

And the Daimler would probably be the Sovereign six-cylinder (2.8/4.2). Might be a V12 Double-Six but it's not a V8. They never made one in the SI body.
EDIT: it's either a 4.2 or a D6 Vanden Plas because it's a long wheelbase. Rare car: Sovereign 4.2 lwb: 386 / Double Six Vanden Plas: 351. The modern Pepper-pot alloys need to go west, though. :) It's unlikely (but feasible) someone went to the effort of putting the SI Daimler nose/rear bumper on a later SII/SIII type car.

And that's a top GTti - they were ace!

It has a 'V8' badge on the front. I'll make a zoomed version later.

Nothing gets my pants happy quite like one of these:

If anyone doesn't like this then they need to just...well just not suck. :sly:

Oh? I always assumed that Oz and NZ had them in abundance. It was a great little car though!

I believe the Landroveresque thing you saw may have been an Austin Gypsy or some other rare British trucklet. Awesome spots Rue!!!

Hmm, I saw a pic of the Gypsy and it has the lights on the grille rather than the wings. Any other ideas?

Limo version of the Silver Spirit IV - the one right before the Silver Seraph (which is the one right before the Phantom). Only 44 were made according to this. Good spot!!

Oh, cool! Seems there really are a lot of really rare Rollers and Bentleys here then. That's the third of said makes that I've seen with a production run of 50 or less. The other 2 were Bentley Turbo RT's.

Rue
Unfortunately they made that illegal in Hong Kong a couple of years ago. Before that almost all cars had tinted windows.

Although, you'll notice the M5 has dark tints. People do take the risk of being pulled and fined for tints, but usually take them off before any government vehicle inspection. It's silly really as dark tints really do reduce the amount of aircon usage and as Hong Kong is apparantly the world's coldest country (indoor temperatures) in the world, it should take a stricter stance on the amount of energy wastage here.

Well if you look closely at the grille, you can see what appears to be the Land Rover badge, so I'd assume it's some sort of Land Rover...perhaps a custom body, other then that no idea.

You can have ours. Silly folks do the same here - remove them before inspections - but here, it's a complete waste. It's silly enough to have a non-white car in the first place - having blackened windows is even sillier. Cars are like ovens during the summer, and usually, some highway-speed driving is required to blow that air out, only for it to be replaced by the usual summer 36celsius moist air. And then comes the aircon...

Rolls Royce(I have posted that one before)Ferrari ???(yellow),Ferrari 456M(I posted that one at the same time with that white Rolls Royce).

That S500 and M5 are so hot!

Whilst on that note, some of the competitors cars (though not directly competing)...
