Jaugar XK.

Incidentally, so is the red car on the right.

And yet I still yearn for the last-gen XK...:(

Now if Jag were to make a special edition XK with all the first-gen XK parts... I'd be genuinely tempted to make it a future acquisition.

Yesterday:

The whole interior was lined in leather, sort of camel but more towards the orange colour. Looked great.
Could've gotten better shots, if I wasn't driving while holding the camera...

Decent bunch of cars today:

BMW 135i, first spot of one of these for me.
P4252038.jpg

Chevy Lumina otherwise known as the Pontiac G8 in the states.

1971 Mercedes-Benz SL350. Tags read 71MBENZ.
P4262042.jpg

Land Rover something or other, looked different from anything I've seen. Can the back be removed?
P4262043.jpg

MINI Clubman S! First spot for me of one in the wild, granted I've already driven one but still haven't caught one while out car spotting. Pretty cool that it was Sparkling Silver as well!
P4262045.jpg

Ferrari F430 in a normal parking lot (non-valet), and yes he can't park correctly .
P4262046.jpg

P4262047.jpg

E39 BMW M5, fairly rare. Tags read LGHTSPD.
P4262048.jpg

And I don't know how good this is, more of really rare and I can't believe someone actually bought one. An RX400h...yes a hybrid.

They turned the Lumina into that beautiful thing?! They never would have discontinued it here if it looked like that

The RRRRE owner parked perfectly! No door dings. But if someone gets stupid he loses his whole front fascia...

Freelander Sport. Yes, the back comes off.

Perhaps not just while driving, though. :D

If it's a first or second gen Freelander, there's a good chance the back wasn't designed to come off. It just happened.

Duno about michigan but quite a lot of people have bought the rx400h here. Ive even seen quite a few LS600H

As for what i saw today.....

theres a spyder somewhere in that pic

Well, judging by that thar picture I hereby decree that topper definately comes off. [/smalltown southern mayor]

EDIT: Woah now, how did it fly off with those roll bars that would have been going over and through it??

Cool thank you 👍!

Anyways here is a 355 Spyder Kate saw the other day and wanted me to post it. Pretty good spot.

Are they registered as a car or motorcycle? In Michigan if it was registered as a car it would be illegal to drive one with a helmet. Although I agree with you though, it would be far safer to have a helmet, not only for event of a crash but for flying road debris as well.
Motorcycle as the description lists it as a 3-wheel, 2 seater motorcycle.
I think he did:scared:

*mclaren*, yes those places were in england.
Ah. I got word back from my friend, and due to the current exchange rates, he didn't get it. Instead, he's going for a full carbon fibre Roadster from Asia.

Today, though, finally saw a XF drive by, and it looks very nice. Also 2 other pretty nice cars. These 2 were at dealers, but I think there's a bit of an exception. The first was a Viper SRT-10 sitting in the used car lot at Dodge, but was the dealer owner's. The 2nd was a Maserati GranSport conv. However, this car was in its own little see-through room at...Subaru of Plano, for sale. I know you guys say you go to dealers expecting nice cars, but who goes to a Subaru dealer expecting a Maserati to be inside for sale. :P

Really? The Lumina? Awesome. They should sell it as that here rather than a Pontiac.

I guess that is what it's marketed as in the Middle East, there were rumours that it would be the new Impala here but I guess that never came to be.

Not one of the ones from SPS here in Hong Kong per-chance?

Sorry about the framing of a lot of these…

Old Porsche somethingthereother? (I suck at old cars.)

IMG_2289.jpg

Old Chevy?

IMG_2292.jpg

VW GTI Farenheit (I’ve seen this exact car at this exact intersection twice – once last weekend, and once a year ago).

IMG_2293.jpg

There are gazillions of Flying Spurs here. Gazillions.

IMG_2294.jpg

DB7 convertible with, I guess, an aftermarket Zagato-look-alike grille. Actually, it’s a fairly rare Aston Martin DB AR1 (thanks, Venari!).

IMG_2297.jpg

Mustang thingie.

IMG_2300.jpg

Ferrari 348. Sorry about the horrific framing, but I was at a stoplight, and this was the only picture I could get.

IMG_2302.jpg

BMW X6. Jeebus almighty, this thing’s huge!

IMG_2303.jpg

Enormous ass.

IMG_2306.jpg

Cadillac something.

IMG_2309.jpg

BMW M coupe.

IMG_2308.jpg

Maserati Gran Turismo.

I also saw a Bentley GT convertible, an enormous number of Porsches (I don’t care about Porsches at all, so I just don’t bother with pictures – I think I even saw a 911 Turbo), a Bentley Arnage, a Saturn Sky, two older Ferraris, a bunch of Maserati Quattroportes (way too common here), some car from like the 1920s, etc.

Yesterday a friend and I went airsofting in Peterborough, and on the way there and back we saw a quite a few interesting cars. As I was the one driving, and my friend had to do the shooting with my DSLR for the first time, not all cars were captured. I've sort through all the photos, picked out the highlights, and edited them a little. Hope you'll enjoy them:

On the way there, at a Tesco supermarket parking lot:

Vauxhall Corsa VXR

On the way back:

Vauxhall Astra VXR

We also saw a Vauxhall VXR8, but we couldn't shoot it in time, otherwise we'd have all the 3 VXRs in 1 day!:grumpy:

And now, some older cars:

There was probably a retro car gathering of some sort, we must have driven pass a half dozen Volkswagen Type 2s. Here's what we got:

Thanks for viewing, all comments welcome!:)

I'm surprised you get so many VW van's in coventry. I mainly see that sort of concentration and variety down the west coasts of Wales and England.

Wash your mouth out! What you have there is one of the 99 Aston Martin DB AR1s. The 'American Roadster'. It's not even a convertible - there is no roof. If you would have got closer you could have inspected the best paint finish in the world. In general, all cars have paint defects - ranging from swathes of orange peel on you average german luxury car (Mercedes, Porsche) through to the odd speck and pin defects which you have to look hard for on cars with highly worked finishes (Rolls Royce, Aston DB7.) If you see one of these with off-white paint and dual green stripes across the top, you'll be looking at one of the three cars ever to have left Bloxham that was inspected and found to have zero paint defects - flawless. I don't know what the third car was, but one was a BRG DB7 Vantage GT. At that time, there was no-one better than Aston Martin at paint finish.

DB9s and new Vantage, unfortunately, do not have the same level of detailing applied because of time and space constraints within the Gaydon facility. However, as a company, they are considered second only to Rolls-Royce in ex-works paint finish.

Porsche 356. Correct me if I'm wrong!

I'd have gone for 'Speedster' at first glance, although it is a 356 Cabrio... but there are good replicas about.

Ar, I saw these VW vans on the motorway near Peterborough, as I said in the post, there must've been a gathering of retro cars or something around that area.
