the only complaint i have about the interior is the center of the steering wheel. the hard plastic material looks like it came off of an altima. other than that, its neck and neck with the BMW 3 series in terms of quality

no pictures, but a lesson in humility.

i was helping my sister and her husband move today, and while i was following them to their new place i caught a glance of a shiny new Z06 in my rear view mirror. having no idea where i was going, i couldnt snap a pic. instead, i nearly crashed cranking my head backwards to see the car. i could see the driver staring at me (a guy in his 50s...with a hawaiin shirt, but...still) and thinking to himself "nice car, buddy." anyway...those cars look damn fine in person.

OMG! Someone else was dumb enough to order that color!!!

Only the third '01 2.8Q I've seen in it. (mine being one)

I'm going to have to say fake.

Yellow - Notice on the purple car that the pillar appears to be short and doesn't look bent inwards quite like the other.
Red - The length of the window touching the roof on Exige's seems to be short. Plus, on the real car, the bottom of the roof flows over. On the other, it seems to have a cut after the rear window. Due to this, the bottom isn't curving upwards. Instead, it looks level and flat.
Green - The one on Exige's photo seems to have a curve that gradually curves upwards. On the purple one, it's short and sudden.

The one on Exige's photo may be real, but these 3 things stand out and I haven't seen them appear that way on any other Diablo photos.

If it is a replica, it's a bloody good one that's for sure.

All the detailing and the badging are spot on. As is the general shape and stance. You can't see the engine in the gap behind the rear wheels because being mid-engined.... the engine is situated infront of the rear axel line :dunce: :sly:

*edit* - Actually, now i've posted these two pictures together, the screen shape and angle are not quite in proportion. Ignore what i've said above - it probably is just a very good replica. :dunce: :dunce: :dunce:

1. Lower vents in front of the rear wheels are not as angled as they should be.
2. Rear over hang on the bumper and body work are slightly too long.
3. Vent behind the side windows are too squared off and the badge is situated too high up.
4. The 'ears' at the lower back edge of the side windows is more curved at the edge on the real thing.
5. Windshield appears too flat on the 'replica'

I wouldn't say that my latest sighting was neccessarily "good", but it's certainly something you wouldn't expect to see on the road, (not under it's own power anyway....)

saw a ferrari yesterday. not too keen on ferrari. i've pinned it as a mondial 8 with the help of wiki. sorry about the camera phone pics. one day i may go out with th intention of spotting and take along my nikon

Haha, i saw one of those the other day, actually any idea how many there are? Surely it couldnt have been the same one....
Of course i was driving so no chance of a photo. :/

Edit: duh, the one i saw was a Clems skip hire one, so obviously not the same....

Yes yes, but you would think something was there, part of the motor, exhaust system etc. I don't think you would see all the way across to pretty much the other wheel...

No point in arguing, although it was my first Diablo in a long time, I wasn't that impressed anyway.

👍 Unless modified of course.

Seriously, I can't stand seeing these. Obviously I wouldn't say no to being given one, but it just annoys me how much Porsche diluted their brand with these cars and the Cayenne. The Boxster S is fair enough and ok they need a cash cow, but wasn't the 911 making them good money anyway? The 911 is still immensely popular too judging by the countless numbers on the streets (and I expect it's the same case everywhere). But with the other models, every other car here seems to be a Porsche now, with Boxsters and Cayennes being the most popular and Caymans a close third. Seeing so many makes the 911 seem way less special. Of course it's great to see the odd GT3 RS or GT2, but you can even order the bog-standard 997 with a GT3 bodykit from the dealer. Crass in the extreme, but many people still opt for it. I guess that as long as Porsche continue to push technical boundaries with the flagship 911's then it's acceptable to persist with the other models, but to me it seems that the specialness of the Porsche brand is beginning to suffer. With the forthcoming Panamera saloon I don't expect Porsche to regain it's supercar and racing heritage image anytime soon.

Porsche 997 GT3 look-a-likey - Why bother?

Porsche 993 with Hamu Hamu plate - a 911 for kids, another niche for Porsche to try and fill?

Boxtsters are silly. My dads diesel truck could beat one if he got propane injection on it. Probably without it too.. Although they do look nice. they're not exactly the best Porsche has to offer

And you still couldnt park between the lines?

Don't you guys do that? Spot at the end of the row, put your car a litttttttle onto the yellow cross hatch so that you minimize the chance of getting dented by another car? I always do it. It's not like the yellow cross hatch can be used anyway.
