Those were taken during lunch at school. Just before, during class time, a LP640 was there, shame I couldn't take pics. You can also see another Gallardo inside if you look closely. There's a CLK63 always parked there too. It is infact the back of the Lambo dealership of Melbourne, always something nice parked there.

I.D? Was driving around school today, got a photo right before catching the train home.

Aaand a Murcielago to top the list off.

993 RS Clubsport i think*

*edit - actually i think it's a 993 with a GT2 body kit. It's sat a little too high to be a genuine GT2 IMO, and wheels are lesser single piece Porsche items rather than the 3 piece ones the GT2 usually have. Also, it has a rear wiper that the GT2 didn't have as standard. But it could be a GT2. 👍

Highly doubt it's a GT2. The car was a bit more modified at the front end, even though you can't see in the photo. IIRC, it had a RUF BTR2 style nose (With the 2 small grills) at the front. Believe it or not, the owner was actually inside when I took the photo. I heard it start up, sounded like a Golf Diesel. I think it's probably a mockup like you said.

EDIT:
Photo of the BTR2 grill.

Not a GT2. The curve on the front lip is too sudden & stops directly at the wheel.

Below is under18carbon's photo of a 993 GT2. The curve on it is more relaxed and leads into a "straight line" to the wheel.

Here's a real GT2 (... and a blatant excuse to show off photo I took ;)) Still, that red 993 is soooooo nice...!

Another unusual spot today - a Honda Mobilio. Not sold in the UK, so personally imported by the looks of it. Might be familiar to anyone who's played Enthusia, which features this car. Much bigger than I thought they were - I assumed the Mobilio was a kei-car, but turns out it's about the size of a Nissan Cube.

There are loads of them over here. They're odd aren't they, but the newish shape one that you saw is far less weird looking than the one it replaced. There's an even newer version that looks a bit like a deformed Odyssey. Have you seen a Honda Spike before?

I think Asia is a pretty cool place to see obscure Japanese MPV's. I always wonder whether I should post photos of some of them on here.

Ah, that older Mobilio would be the one in Enthusia. The newer one is instantly recognisable as that model though, looks like it's mainly a facelift.

There seem to be a fair few obscure Japanese imports around here. The Mitsuoka Viewt I saw back in August appears to have had a re-spray in black the last time I saw it - either that or there's another one going about. I regularly see Nissan Figaros, and I've seen a good number of Mitsubishi FTOs recently, and for the last few days going to work an R32 GT-R has been going the other way too.

Re: the R32, looking at the rear wheel it appears that either they installed an air suspension on it...or more likely the rear suspension broke.

Old Fiat:

Fiat 131 Mirafiori FTW! I wrote a piece on this thing a few months ago and it was quite the cool car. From the square looks, you would never guees this car was the shatteringly succesful sucessor of the Lancia Stratos in the WRC. Of couse, the rally version, this is a civilian pedestrian one. Cool car, still.

Figaros and FTOs have always been popular in the UK though haven't they. There used to be a bunch of them around when I lived in Bristol. The shape of those two cars especially seems to appeal to people in the UK and they look much more valuable than they actually are. I remember way back in the day my mate used to have a dark metallic blue FTO GPX and it got attention everywhere he went even though it was a sub GBP 10K car. I wish so much I had got into selling imported cars from Japan when I had the idea back in 1998, I would be living the life of Reilly now. I remember when my friend's dad bought a Toyota Soarer rebadged as a Lexus Coupe for about GBP 25K when it was probably bought and imported for a quarter of that. Unfortunately back then no-one was going to risk loaning me the money needed to buy the first car. Hey-ho, you win some you lose some eh!

I took a picture of a Dinan Mini, I would post it but my cell phone's "OK" button doesn't work  Sounds like a lame excuse but it's true. Should I even bother taking out the memory stick and putting it in a phone that works?

A neighbor of mine has a Dinan X3, lame car but sounds amazingly awesome when he starts it up.

This actually seems weird to me. Glanza, do you know until which year the Beetle was sold in Ireland? this car seems to be a very late model, probably late 90s-early 00s, from the time when it was produced only in Brazil and Mexico. What is that doing in Ireland?

It could also be a early 90s model, from when the car was still made in other places... damn cars from that era, they all look the same.

There are a couple of companies in the British Isles that have been importing Beetles and Type 2s the whole time they've been made, so there are a few dotted about and a few come up for sale occasionally. Latest I've seen for sale was an 05. Love the idea of owning one, all the fun of a Beetle with none of the rust!
