beetles hold their value quite well, even beaters can go for over £500, good ones can be in the thousands and campers just as high. bugsales.co.uk has an 04 mexican going for £10k

Yeah deffo on that! How much do they sell for homeforsummer?

Well, the one that's currently up is just under £6k :scared:

Looks lovely though. I just can't anywhere near afford a newer one like this. Even old ones are expensive for what they are.

Yesterday my friend and I were driving around and we saw this 65 Valiant. This has to be one of my favorite finds because it's the first early A-body Plymouth I've seen other than mine. He had his windows and headlights tinted blue, as well as other things which pointed out that he must drag it. I ended up writing a note with my email and putting it under his windshield wiper, it would be nice to be able to talk to a fellow local enthusiast.

Buick Roadmaster. I wish I could have gotten a picture of the side but it ended up going another way.

Chevy Camaro, turning into the Chevrolet dealer no less.

Spotted a Ford Consul the other day and tailed it around a bit hoping to speak to the owner, a car got between us and i lost it down a turn-off
Today i found where it parks, completely by chance.

I didn't take these but that guy with the Valiant emailed me these. On top of the 65 Valiant he has a 64 Barracuda and a 66 Dart, talk about en early A-body lover.

I don't think I've ever seen a Beat. I see a few Cappuccinos every now and again, though.

The only interesting things I've seen recently are an IS-F and a V8 Vantage Roadster. No piccys because I was driving.

How many other beat's have been spotted ??

Not uncommon here. Usually modified though...

I took a photo of this one and a taxi and blended the pics together to give an idea of how tiny they are.

I saw a old military ambulance today. I didn't have a camera but looking online there's pictures of the exact one I saw (in Alameda, CA.)

good to see that most of you have seen super troopers

so as to not be completely off topic, I was helping some friends shop for a new car this weekend and just for giggles we stopped by Flemmings ultimate garage to look around. Generally they tolerate you looking around in the front show room for a little while before asking you to leave but on this occasion we got lucky and the gentleman who worked there seemed impressed by our knowledge about a wide range of cars (everything from a 2002tii and 928 GTS to a GNX and VW type 2) so he showed us around a little bit. Upon mentioning some of his cars we had seen at the DC auto show 2 weeks previous he smiled and took us to the "warehouse" where we got to look at and sit in some of the normally off limits and sold cars including several '57 Bel-Airs in different states of tune and a sub-10 second GNX"R" (unfortunately a v8 swap of some sort) and my personal favorite a 450 SEL 6.9! He respectfully requested that we not take photos in the warehouse and after a nice tour we were on our way. On the way out my friend noticed a portrait on the was of the guy who had been showing us around, turns out it was Tony Flemming himself!
