The wheels are from Alpina, so I doubt it's a CSL (which wasn't sold in the US anyway, and it would be a first-class felony to Alpina-ize a true 3.0 CSL).

They might be wheels made by Alpina (and the ones on that car do have Alpina badges on the centre caps) but they were standard equipment for the CSL and an option on the CSi.

That Pajero looks great! The other day I saw a long wheelbase 3rd generation in black, equiped with massive heavy duty tyres and black rims, very cool looking indeed.

Didn't know Google street view is coming to HK. Last year after getting into my crappy volvo while I was putting on my seat belt, a black Vauxhall Astra drove pass with a pole sticking out of its roof. I almost ****e myself when I saw the Google logo on the doors. In another words, I was caught in my car by the damn panorama:

Hah! Well if the camera was on when it went past me then Google Streetview HK will soon feature a very sweaty white guy on a bright orange bike in a stupid helmet grimacing as he wonders why he ever decided to ride up such a steep hill.

Give me a buzz if you fancy going for a beer and some car spotting again soon, I am over this flu now.

It's always fun to be on Google Maps Street View. I'm on there twice, maybe more. They are still working on my area and I'm hoping to snag a picture of the Cobalts they are using.

Saw a carbon copy of this beast a few days ago:

Where? Parked at the Cambridge services just off the A1. With British plates.
So someone has said to themselves, 'No, I won't have the largely excellent, easily available European Focus. What I'm going to do is go to the effort of importing the child-eating American one instead.

No photo because I didn't want to have to try and explain to passers by why I was snapping away at such a mundane car.

Seriously, this thing looks like it should be replaced by the current European Focus. This is more like something the Chinese market could design if they actually tried...

You haven't seen the tinted-down SES Coupe, have you? It actually works.

Granted, I wouldnt' get one over a Mk II, but, still, it's grown on me...

Well then, I guess that was a CSi I saw? Never heard of that one before, but cool either way.

American serviceman or families car at a guess.

A few spots from the weekend.

Saab 9-2X, basically an Impreza frame with a Saab body, also called the Sabaru. The car wasn't a big hit or seller. So they are fairly rare.

1937 Chevy Coupe, not sure what but I know someone on here will , Cano

Ok, I know the whole picture thing but I saw a 2009 Focus RS driving around where I am. Hopefully that means we'll be getting the European Focus soon.

Things don't need to be good in this thread, but rather unusual or not normal. Probably should rework the thread a bit since it's turned into just a car spotters thread. Maybe "GTP Vehicle Spotters" or something along those lines?

I haven't done an update in a while because my camera has been buggered up. It's all good now though so here's selections from my big photodump.

Ford Transit Connect, I think I've seen enough of these. Since taking this picture I've probably see 50 of these as they are becoming extremely popular here in Michigan. I personally think they are pretty cool.

From up north a couple weeks back, a Kia Forte. It's not a bad looking little car.
IMG_2155.jpg

A plug-in Prius with a bumper sticker that says "My Prius Get 100mpg, Ask Me How". Despite having a huge air of pompous ass floating around it, it was sort of cool because this is the first plug in car I've seen.

Audi Q5, are these just not popular? I think I've seen three this year.
IMG_2246.jpg

Lincoln Continental maybe? I don't know, it's the only car I know of with suicide doors, but the front didn't look like it. Maybe some of the old car guys know?

1937 Chevy Coupe, unmistakable front grille! :sly:

is it abandoned or sitting, or does it gets used?

The truck carrying a truck is nice too (:

I knew someone would tell me. thanks. Its at the end of a driveway for sale.

We have bag fulls of them here in Hong Kong Harry. Definately a favourite of executives.

It figures. A politically correct statement, I'm sure.

From yesterday's post, una mas:

Lamborghini Japla

From down the road, I knew it was something, but I could not for the life of me figure out what. A DeTomaso Pantera came to mind, but it wasn't quite right. As soon as I saw the black text above the rear bumper, it was made obvious. It's the only Jalpa I've ever seen anywhere, and one of a very few Lamborghini's from before 1990 I've ever seen. It's like Lamborghini didn't exist in New York before Audi bought in. It's a shame. Everyone should experience an utter crap supercar -- and I mean that.

A nice rarity there harrytuttle. I have only ever seen one myself and it was a glorious shade of ... brown.

This is so cool. Like the 1930's equivalent of the first gen Audi TT.

Funny story:

I was riding along in my car listing to my music when a line in the song said "I'm Coming down like an avalanche, riding in an avalanche" and two seconds later i see a Chevy Avalanche.

I know the truck is not really worth mentioning but i think its funny.

NOOOOOOO WAAAAAYYY!!!!!

The freaking Tuttle did it again. You really never cease to amaze me. This is my favorite Lambo. Yes I'm THAT weird. Never tought I'd see one pop up here. Awesome. one of the spots of the thread for me. And the photos are good for a change, it's as if you knew you had to take this one right. Heck, I even saved the pictures. Next time you see it you shall get down the car and blow some 100 or so pics.
