Wow! I wonder if Kubica is in there? What other F1 trucks did you see? Red Bull by any chance?:dopey:

Actually I saw 3 trucks like that, meaning all 3 were Renault F1.

Since I had to answer :) some less spectacular post:

In town near the summer house after taking green waste to the recuperation center: Triumph

Parking at home, a Maserati GT3200:

When driving away from my parents through Brussels, a Porsche Boxster with hardtop, the last bit is something I rarely see (certainly since it was hot enough to drive open):

When hunting for Lamborghinis in Rhode-Saint-Genese a metal green Audi TT (never had seen that colour):

Driving from the summerhouse back to home, a Audi R8, that was driving away fast:

I was driving around west Houston, when I came across a few cars. Nowhere near what I saw on Sunday, but they're still pretty nice.

Was hoping to spot the white CR-Z that now seems to live around the corner from me, but alas, just another R8...

I seriously think there are more R8s around here than Mondeos. But I took a picture of it anyway, so NOW YOU'RE GOING TO LOOK AT IT.

Sounds like there is something right in your world to me, my statement a year ago was: "there are more Maseratis then Ford Fiestas". Then 2 temporary workers at the European Commission rented next doors and were driving Italian registered Ford Fiestas, the Fiestas started taking the overhand again.

Yesterday started driving around to find a specific car (for later post), did not find it, but came across these:

A Scoda Octavia (yes they exist since long) cabrio that I missed the day before:

On Monday evening got to talk to the owner of this 1973 Triumph Spitfire, engine recently refurbished, but all of origin, he loves his summer car:

It looked some promising from far away, but just a kit. I still give him credit for where he was. Bigger wheels and bettre exhaust system it would look a lot better

Black cab, polite notice. Sounds abit like Stephen Fry may have been on a road trip!

That's a V10 R8! And I like that Murcielago. I've seen a Red Bull Mini just like that in Houston where I spot. I was tempted to wait around for the driver to see if he/she was giving away free Red Bulls or something.

And Wagans, what part of Texas do you live in?

I went out for a little spotting around the local area. I didn't see much, but I saw a few interesting spots.

Cam-Am Spyder. I got my friend to take the picture. But he was really obvious about it.

Pontiac GTO. Known in Europe as the Vauxhall Monaro, and known to the Aussies as the Holden Monaro. It had a custom Exhaust and paintjob.

That Maybach 62 again, definitely not a Detroit Piston like I originally thought as it's an older white guy driving it around.

Would it be real? Close to where I live there was Apal that made great replicas when I was younger, seems they closed 15 years ago.

Some things from the street in Luxembourg, that same old BMW Z8 at the first house next to work, just loved the position:

to be clear this person has the only big company importing fruit and vegetables here and has some cars regularly around (I posted some before): BMW Z8, Triumph, Ferrari 308, Porsche 911 4S Cabrio, some Caterham, Audi S5.

First time I saw a Fiat 500C open, but shot one closed a few days before:

No, I don't have any pictures of the house. But I go to that area alot, so I'll get some pictures of the house just for you!:)

Cheers, mansions are ony of my primary loves in life (to the bewilderment of so many of my friends).

Was the older gentleman a chauffeur for a Detroit Piston in the backseat?

The Z8 is a great looking car and the Alpina wheels only further compliment the vehicle.

Probably a replica the more I look at it since it's rocking modern Toyo Proxes 4 on it. Either that or the guy has really bad taste in tires for his classic car.

Was the older gentleman a chauffeur for a Detroit Piston in the backseat?

Nope. Just an old white guy driving by himself. He pulled into a complex with lawyer offices and a bunch of financial stuff.

I think the Z8 is a pure design classic, even if the handling was terrible... how many years has it been on the road? 10 years, and set it slap bang in between any other premium convertibles and the Z8 will still give them a run. I can just imagine how good it'll look on a set of wire rims. Henrik Fisker, the designer also gave us the DB9 and V8 Vantage.

Finally saw a ZR1 in person yesterday, and it turned into an awesome experience.

It was outside of a small gym in one of the more "upscale" parts of town (though here in Montgomery, that's not saying much)... anyway, the owner must have seen me looking at it, so he sent out his personal trainer with the keys and she let me fire it up... it was incredible just sitting in the seat and holding down the button to hear the LS9 roar to life. It only had 1417 miles on it. I blipped the throttle and was surprised at how freely and quickly it revved... such a great sound.

I was grinning ear to ear, telling her how I never thought I'd see one in Montgomery, and she told me to come inside to meet the owner... and man, I was very surprised. The guy was inside lifting very small weights, hardly more than skin and bones, and must have been close to if not beyond 90 years old. He could hardly speak audibly, but he said he never takes it out and I was lucky to catch it, and it's the only one he knows of in the area. I asked him if he cared if I took some pictures, and he said no problem at all and thanked me... so I shook his hand and told him it was nice to meet him and went back out to take pictures, only to discover yet another result of dropping my blackberry the other day... "Could not start camera application, please close other applications and try again." Closed everything I could, still wouldn't start. Hard reset, still wouldn't start. :'( :'( :'(

Nice story, so did you make out with the personal trainer? :D
So jealous right now, its not everyday you get to meet such a nice car with a driver who isn't a douche.

Nope, but I might look into hiring her ;)

All kidding aside, it was very awesome of him... I mean he was barely able to talk and looked extremely pained to be there, yet he owns and sometimes drives a 600+ hp, 6-speed monster of a car. I can't imagine that's easy for him... that's love right there. I want to be exactly like him if I reach that age.

According to his trainer he has more than 5 other "very nice" cars, but the only one she could remember was "AMG something... 65 AMG, some Mercedes" so I said "SL65 AMG?" and she said "Yeah that sounds right, it's a convertible."
