with those large rear flares I would say it's almost certainly a replica, possibly 914 based. Still an awesome spot
Yep. There's one that comes to C&C, & the owner has told us that it is based on an older Porsche chassis. Says there's a specific company that builds them like this.
Any other photos of the mansion? (There should be a thread for 'Did You See Any Amazing Homes Today?')...
Now, there's something I could contribute to. :P

My friend and I went out to do some local spotting today. We saw a few nice cars.

Dodge Viper on the I-10 feeder road:

The Houston ABC station had their news van out. I'm not sure what they were doing:

I'm going into Houston tomorrow to do some mega-spotting. I expect to bring you guys the same quality cars that I did last Sunday.

I'm just getting around to uploading my pics from April's Denver Auto Show, I saw these within a couple blocks of the event.

Diablo.jpg

A couple guys in line were saying it looks like a replica... I don't know the model well enough to tell.

I might have to visit Denver more often just to get back into car spotting. I still have the popular exotic hangouts Doug DeMuro recommended me last year.

EDIT - oh, and I saw a new Fiat 500 a couple months back, on Michigan manufacturer's plates. Very cool, I can hardly wait to see those at least as often as I do Nissan Cubes.

I went into Houston, and brought back a TON of spots! So many that I had to narrow down the spots and only bring you the best ones.

Ferrari F430, the first spot of the day:

F430 Spider:

SL63 AMG with a Bentley Continental GTC:

Sorry for the big post, but there were too many good cars!

Unfortunatley I didn't get any pics but while on the motorway I just saw the following:
- Skyline R33 and R34
- Clio V6 (phase2)
- an RS200!

Honda Crotch Rocket with a nice paintjob:

Dunno about engine size because I think they did the Repsol Edition in both 600 and 1000cc, but that is a CBR Fireblade Repsol Edition, based on the paintjob of the Repsol Honda MotoGP bikes. Not necessarily rare but they're still cool.

Diablo.jpg

A couple guys in line were saying it looks like a replica... I don't know the model well enough to tell.

Doesn't look like a replica to me, it actually looks very reminiscent of the Diablo VT I sat in when I was a kid.

That's the idea of a kit car, to look very similar. Some of the guys in here use to be able to pick kits apart fairly easily. It's all in the details.

Astrosdude, Houston must have some nice ass ghettos if you're seeing those rims about. I remember San Diego's were pretty... broke. My neighborhood had pretty crappy cars, and even cast iron bars over our house windows. If you could afford to put 24-inchers on your brand new Bentley they'd get jacked before your very eyes... and you wouldn't be living in the ghetto to begin wth. Just go ahead and say it, it's true enough: ... actually wait, racism is still too touchy an issue for some. Uh... hip-hop wheels, there we go.

Being on Main Street in Dallas last night, I did spot 2 Gallardos, a California, & a Maserati GT. But, it's hard to grab pics in front of the clubs & while driving. However, I did get this one.

From the weekend.

Separated at birth? I think so. Except this is a JCW Cooper S, but it still looks eerily similar to my car.

I just saw both a Corsa VXR and Megane RenaultSport that didn't race eachother at a set of traffic lights.

That's a rarer appearance than any Ferrari as far as I'm concerned.

Megane driver was no doubt too afraid of the corsa torque steering into him ;)

Ok, so here is what I know about the exotics of Houston, which I've learned from talking to different people at the various exotic car dealers around Houston, such as Ferrari of Houston, Lamborghini of Houston, Driver Source, etc.

-8 Ferrari Enzo's
-7 Ferrari F50's
-9 Ferrari F40's
-At least 1 Bugatti Veyron
-At least 2 McLaren F1's
-At least 4 LP670 SV's
-1 Lambo Reventon
-At least 3 MC12's

Though, Most of these cars are garage queens, so the chances of seeing alot of these are very slim. But I still have hope. I know that one guy owns an Enzo, F50 and MC12, and he takes those out quite often. So, I just have to be in the right place at the right time.

New stuff! Even seen some good stuff!

SANY0333.jpg

80's Audi.. I wanna say Quattro but I doubt it.

SANY0360.jpg

SANY0361.jpg

Rotting 64' Impala.

SANY0362.jpg

Vette

SANY0363.jpg

SANY0367.jpg

Aunts neighbors Olds.

SANY0369.jpg

Jacked up GMC. Was stuck behind this a few weeks ago, and my mom tried to tell me its a ford. There was a mint 80's Z28 Camaro parked in the driveway, but I wasn't risking getting a pic.

SANY0370.jpg

Dodge Mirada(I think?) I drove by earlier, and there was a 70's Road Runner next to it. When I went back it was gone.

SANY0371.jpg

SANY0373.jpg

Bad pics of a Supra. Was RHD, and stock looking. (Even had the stock rims, just painted black) engine was not stock (literally flew out of the driveway, and nearly caused a 3 car accident)

SANY0372.jpg

Old Lincoln I think

SANY0374.jpg

Evo II (I think.) Was from the Supra house. The accord wagon in front, and Civic in the backround were both RHD.

Saw a Ferrari 599 today in red, all stock, didnt get a pic because going round a roundabout trying to use your camera phone not a good idea!

It had a personalised plate with '599' in it.

Robin.

-> Just saw this:

^ Yup, thats the way overhyped Chevrolet Volt in a prototype form. There were three of them marching towards north of US-93/95 in Las Vegas. I said "meh" at first, but its a spy pic moment so I have to take the pics. :)

^ A cool Triumph TR7, that came all the way from Colorado!!! I thought GBR cars tend to fall apart (a stereotype, so sorry if I offended UK car fans). :)

You've probably mentioned this before and I've probably asked you, but what sort of camera do you use Paul?

No no, they do ;) Don't think I've ever seen a TR7, actually.

Someone has given you some bad info. There are nowhere near that many amount of Ferraris, & there is only 1 rumored F1. The Lambos I'm not positive on, but there are certainly not 3 MC12s in Texas. There was one at 1 time, but it has moved to the West coast.
