haha, this is pretty cool

Also, Nismo, could you be able to snap a few more of the old Midget racer? I'd be interested to see it. Those things were awesome.

What do you mean? All we have other then normal plates is the M plate. All the M plate states is that the car is from a company and is either a test car or a go between car.

Also, Nismo, could you be able to snap a few more of the old Midget racer? I'd be interested to see it. Those things were awesome.

I really want to stop, since we've been passing it for years now. When it gets warmer we'll probably stop by since it's on our to my grandpa's house. I think there's an old motorcycle behind it too.

Nothing special but here are some from yesterday. Vans are for someone on another forum but I thought I'd leave them in anyway.

I saw a very nice BMW X5M today.

Love it or hate it, there's no denying that M badge.

I'll post some (three or four) from the local Cars and Coffee tomorrow.

Maserati really hit the mark with the Gran Turismo. Rarely does a car hold so much composure from the "stock" launch models and maintain it through all its sporty and convertible iterations. That car is still very handsome.

Rue, do you crop your photos after shooting? They're framed very tight, I'm sure that many of them would benefit if they were afforded some more contextual/environmental composition!

I do and I agree with exactly what you say, I just find it difficult to break from what I've been doing for ages. I will give it a go...

Bump...

I was travelling by tram today and had my camera set to BW to snap some street scenes but a few not bad cars came by...

GT2 shot - that's what I was talking about!!! So much going on.

And leave your camera shooting colour - you'll always have the option of desaturating in post. You never know when you'll regret not having a full colour original, or the off chance of forgetting to revert to normal settings and missing that great shot.

Today, I was at a dad's friends place to find that he had a Lancia Delta HF Integrale in Lancia Dark Blue. The car was originally sold in Japan in the red colour seen in GT5, being painted the Dark Blue colour shortly before it was imported into Australia. As the car is LHD, it cannot be road-registered until it is old enough to be considered a "classic car". He also had another one in black, but sold it 2 weeks ago. He also has a 1920s Lancia Tourer, which it's name I have forgotten :) Will upload pictures soon.

You need to upload the images to a hosting service before you can use the tags. Try ImageShack.

[Car and coffee pictures]

The next one is in eight days, so if there's anything extraordinary I'll post them up.

Just make sure you post them in the Event and Showroom thread. This thread is purely for street spots.

Yeah, I will. Thanks for the link btw - didn't see it in the first three board pages. The OP says it's fine ("This means that a race meeting/track day/concourse show/owner's club meeting does count.") but it just didn't seem right.

Anyway, street spots.

^Beautiful 996 Turbo S that I saw out behind a drugstore.

^Brabus SmartForTwo at the grocery store.

^At the expensive French restaurant.

^S2000 CR double-parked like a boss.

I have the full-size versions (~3500x1950) if anyone wants them for some reason.

This event and showroom thread was created several years after this one, so the OP isn't really up to date.

In the span of one hour today I saw:

- 50's era Porsche
- x3 Lancer EVO 8 & 9
- Subaru STi
- Shelby Cobra
- Lotus Elise
- Mustang GT500
- x2 AE86 Corolla (one looked identical to the Initial D car)

Then when I pulled into my apartment complex saw a Ferrari 348 (or something...)

Terrible photo, but a RS4 Cabriolet.

Had large aftermarket exhaust on it & very, very loud when he pulled out. Heard him a couple blocks over when he jumped back on the tollway.

Didn't have a chance to get a picture, but I saw a ~1976 Ferrari 512BB in Cape Girardeau, MO on Sunday. Looked to be in mint condition, out for a cruise.
