wow, that yellow Integra is smoking! I really like it! if it had less stickers it would be perfect.

Let's post a little something, it's been a while. First up is this rare mid-60s Mercedes ragtop... rare here because, as far as I know, no other models than four doors were sold officially here, you had to special-order a two door or ragtop and it was very, VERY expensive. This one seemed to be having it's rags redone.
albarrada010.jpg

Nearby sat this pair of mostrositys... the work was good but come ON...
albarrada011.jpg

This Jag popped up nearby work, they are really rare to see here, and even more so being real drivers. It's easier to find these cars as concours cars only, that's why I liked this one, it seemed to be used pretty regularly.
albarrada014.jpg

albarrada013.jpg

A Peugeot 403? in at least usable shape, it's paint having deteriorated to an almost flat black finish.
albarrada017.jpg

a very, VERY rare 1965 New Yorker. These big Chryslers were never sold here and finding them is always a treat. This one was in bad shape though, belonging to a guy that seems to like land yatchs (I had found, in the exact same spot about 7 years ago, a 1957 Cad and a Buick Riviera in the same place, owned by the same guy, in similar sad shape) but doesn't have any money to actually put them in good shape.
albarrada018.jpg

albarrada020.jpg

Same can be said for this Buick Riviera (different car than the one I mentioned earlier), also a really rare car in Mexico as they were never sold here. Owned by the same guy, in the same really bad shape. The car was basically made of rust.
albarrada021.jpg

A very rare because it is seemingly real 1955 Suburban. I say it's seemingly real because it is way more common to find panels with added-on rear windows rather than the real thing, as they were pretty expensive back then. This one seems to be the real deal, though. The rear door says so.
albarrada025.jpg

A real, rare Willys jeep, really hard to find here. The thing oughta have tires like it's spare on all four corners, as it looks really, really wimpy with those normal things on.
albarrada027.jpg

Just a big Merc that was never officially sold here. Nothing special, really.
albarrada030.jpg

Aaaah, this. I've been trying to gather information on this very very VERY rare 1934 Ford Victoria Sedan for a lot of time, but I haven't managed to find anyone who can give me info on it or even tell me if it could be for sale. The Victorias were two-door Sedans with a shorter rear side window (insert pic), and are very rare to find today. It lacks the entire front and fenders, but then again you can get all those things in the aftermarket... but it ain't cheap. I'd love to get this and turn it into a nice patina'ed rod.
albarrada032.jpg

Self explanatory, really. Also, the mid-70s Merc is rare here, never officially sold here.
albarrada035.jpg

Aaaaah, I LOVE this picture. The bunch of tires over the 1958 Chevrolet, the cat, the fact that this is a house in one of the most populated areas of the city... I'd love to go back there and snap a few pics of it, but it is also one of the most dangerous places in the entire city.
albarrada038.jpg

Wouldn't you love it that, when you heard the ice cream tune, you'd go out and the cones were being sold off this dented Datsun 510? That's exactly what happens in my neighborhood. Check out the speaker in the roof.
albarrada101.jpg

more or less well kept Datsun 510 with those rare four-spoke wheels.
albarrada103.jpg

Random Seat Leon Cupra with aftermarket wheels... that you can't see because the picture is too blurry. Yay.
albarrada105.jpg

Clean, relatively unmolested VR6 Jetta that is otherwise ruined by the stupid STUPID Foose sticker.
albarrada108.jpg

I always get pics of these when I see them because as far as I know only 100 of these ever made it to the country. But I have seen lots of them, so I don't really know if that is true or not. Anyhow, they are cool cars. I love that blue.
albarrada109.jpg

End. Lots of Mercedes in this post, oddly.

The coolest thing I saw today was a Blue Subaru Impreza with the rear wing and gold rims, just speeding down the road.

That is the sketchiest Ice Cream vehicle I've ever seen that wasn't a Pedobear joke. Cool car no doubt, but man .

Went spotting for an hour today. It was complete craziness out there. This 599 GTO was just one of the highlights. More later.

5358979291_3874bf01c3_b.jpg

Good to see your photos again Cano! Trust me I have one or two things you will looooove from today.

EDIT: Even by Hong Kong standards today was pretty mad. Almost all these shots were taken in just over one hour! I lost count of the amount of Ferraris I saw and the Daytona and the 599 GTO were just great. Didn't expect to have two Fords as part of the highlights though, the GT and the Falcon were a brilliant surprise as was the big banger Aston Vantage and the Merc Evo II Macau touring car replica. Anyway, onto the pics. January is turning out to be a great month for car snapping here. Enjoy...

good God man, wtF? I say it again, HK is just mind blowing. That Aussie Falcon is stupid rare nowadays, but really, one could say stuff about almost all of the cars in there. I love the MGB V8, the VW Bus and that mid-90s Aston Martin! Awesome muscle car!

Also, how much could that "Daytona" license plate could have been? Amazing car.

also, I love the white tuned Mercedes, the race-car-on-the-street 190 and the Gulf GT. Amazing.

and, only one hour. wtF.

I'll try to keep the momentum going.

Rue, those pictures, especially that Ford GT, is epic. I noticed that the Ford is LHD with what looks like the front plates taped over. What are the requirements of driving a LHD vehicle in HK?

You know what's funny, you spotted the same yellow Lotus Elise in 2 different places.

On the other hand, here's a total buzz kill to this page. I haven't done much photography in the past months and so here are some of the best of what little I have.

Some of those are pretty unbelievable (Alfa Brera, Alfa 156, GT-R Spec V, Nissan Cedric), so pics or it didn't happen.

Indeed, and they are suppose to be pretty rare. I think ///M-Spec actually has one of those.

I heard they were rare too, but I frequently see them here in Hong Kong. I wonder if Audi had a body-kit that looked the same? Maybe that would explain why I see so them quite often.

.
Nope i wouldn't make that stuff up, i live near alot of foreign car dealers, Foreign cars italia is a mixed use dealer, sales new Ferrari, alfa romeo(which may explain the brerra) Porsche, aston martin and Maserati, Carolina Lamborghini, where i seen that hideous loctec C1000 is an exclusive Lamborghini dealer, they also have alot of rare cars in the showroom and under the building in the car storage/showroom, i guess i see these all the time because city is known for alot of international business and trades like fedex corp or that japanese hondajet company, but as i said next time i promise to have my camera. http://www.automoblog.net/2010/02/13/our-visit-to-foreign-cars-italia/ its right across the street from me(hear music all day long), this is probably most likely where that brerra came from.

As for the cedric, all i know, it could have been a copy of the Y34 cedric but the right hand drive was very convincing. And i think some one may have imported the GTR spec V because its not even in the us market...only one in the nissan showroom is a regular one.

Holly crap, with Lancer wheelcovers and STILL flathead powered... nice little street rod... and a4 door. This guy rules.

He drive it all the time too, even in the Winter. He has a little sticker in the engine bay that says "Real Hot Rods don't have valve covers".

I also saw a Bentley CGT and a Prowler, but no pictures.
