Awesome spots as usual, I just wish I lived in a place full of such exotic machinery.

Keep up the good work 👍

An old picture actually, but still worth posting I think considering the plate

Wow, wtf with that place!!!! what's the story, Nismo? That Porsche is awesome.

1941 De Soto, bud (:

Well the Porsche and RX7 were at a place called Rennstatt racing. According to the website it's a place that restores and works on Porsches. So I'm guessing it's just cars they plan on working on later or cars they just want to keep around. I'll be heading back when it gets warmer to check up on any new cars.

De Soto, I completely forgot about them. I figured you'sd be the one to get it though .

well, I sure hope they put that Porsche back in order, it looks like it's been there for a looooong while...

I don't have a picture but hopefully this post is interesting enough that it meets approval regardless of proof.

I'm a Mopar nut and I live in Australia. Toward the end of December I was staying at my Dads place down the Gold Coast over 600km away from where I live while I was getting my Forklift ticket. I needed to drive down to Macdonalds to use the wifi so that I could check my website and some other things online and a few cars ahead of me was a old Valiant Charger. It just so happened that he stopped in at the petrol station next door to Maccas so I stopped in there to grab some fuel and have a look.

I stop right next to him and notice the paint is a bit faded and it has some rust in the usual places but it has stripes so I strike up a conversation and asked if it is original at which point he responded that it is and points toward his number plates which inform me that it is an E49. Holy crap did I get excited at that point, I have never seen one on the road before, only at car shows. For the guys who don't know, an E49 is the holy grail of Aussie Mopars and even in it's original worn and slightly rusty condition this car is worth a fortune to a collector, the value of this one is hard to determine but a mint one could sell for up to half a million and this one could be worth a good percentage of that due to it's original unrestored condition even though it isn't the prettiest example. The interior was immaculate which was surprising for a Valiant this old.

I continued to chat to the owner as we both filled our cars, he was very friendly and apparently this was the first time he had brought his car out for a drive in about 3 years so it was a case of sheer luck that I got to see it. He told me he has owned it since 1975 and that he didn't know if he should restore it or leave it original and that the information he received from others continued to leave him uncertain, he described it as his retirement project. I also asked the typical question about kids and a will and he told me that he has kids but he fears that if he leaves it to them they might decide to cash in.

As he drove away I noticed that it did not sound like I expected, he didn't get up it. I would describe the way he left as brisk but not spirited, it was much quieter than I expected and he seemed to drive away very smoothly which also surprised me because the E49's were geared very tall for racing but that also most likely explains his quick but quiet departure, he was most likely just driving normal.

Without a doubt those few minutes were the highlight of my trip and I just thought the community here might enjoy the story.

Happy New Year everybody!

Haven't been around for a long time due to work and Christmas things. Haven't even been out with the camera in earnest for a long while so I thought I would put a couple of hours in yesterday as the weather was nice. So, here's an eclectic mix from two hours worth of spotting yesterday afternoon. Enjoy...

Sorry, no pics. In America: a black GT-R, two Bentley Continentals, black Gallardo, Eclipse styled to be like the one in the fast and the furious, Aston Vantage in my block, and an STI in my neighborhood. In U.A.E: Rolls Royce Phantom, Bently Continental, and Murcielago. In Pakistan: almost everything since I had no idea what they were at first. It is the only country I know where almost everyone has a suzuki and where the civic and corolla is considered high-end. This is there best-selling car, latest model too. Btw, I am from Pakistan so I am not trying to be racist.

I saw this brand new RX-8 in an absolutely fabulous pearl effect dark cherry type of color. It's strange because I haven't made up my mind yet for this car. At times and angles it looks sweet yet other times it gives me the impression they tried too hard.

Wow man! There is no way I can do this in Greece in two hours worth; maybe two weeks. You must live in a central area but again. Damn!

Interesting. Is there any reason in particular for Suzuki to be so successful over there? Or it caught up just like that?

Rue, I forgot how muched I missed your top down photos. That Graphite/Red 458 like Exige said, and the Grey R34 are awesome.

Nice spots as always, Rue! 👍

I liked the vanity plates that some people had. One of the Porsches had the plate ZEONG and at first I read ZEDONG; Mao would be rolling over his grave if his name is on some capitalistic pig-mobile.
