Ah, another case of a car in a place where it isnt expected to show up, nice Dac. The thing has the ram-air hood but I really doubt it came like that from the factory, judging by everything else
it isnt a Firehawk for sure. Too much yellow, though.
Time for a post from me, its been a while. This little Fiat roadster was spotted near work, cheap tires and all. I had already seen this car in another place but didnt have a camera at the time, and it had disappeared when I went looking for it, so it was a welcome sight to re-catch it.
This customized BMW 3 sat in the same spot for months, just deteriorating. I had already posted a picture of it when I first noticed it and it was bright and shiny, later on I passed by the same place and saw it in this sad shape. Stupid. It has since then disappeared, hopefully to the hands of a caring owner.
MG kit car in a VW chassis putting around work, I just managed to take the camera out in time to grab it.
It might not be anything special, but I snapped this pic when this generation of TT had just been released. Yes, old.
1970 Ford Falcon in pretty good shape, lowered and wearing a set of fake American Racing 200S wheels. Get out of the way, missie!
A 3-series coupe with some cool wheels and a good drop, its all it really takes to get one of these things to look pretty good, actually.
A mexican Monte Carlo SS with fake Cragars. As Ive stated before, the Mexican model is way rarer than its US sibling, it was only offered for one model year and had a 350/Muncie 4 speed/Dana 60 combo instead of the puny drivetrain of the US car, making it a GREAT base for a serious street machine. They are highly sought after here and are becoming real collector cars. Finding them in decent shape is already incredibly difficult. This one lives near work.
Nearby the Monte sat this lifted Chevy truck with some off road stuff but seemingly no front differential, so bleh:
Another 3-series with a low job and some jumbo wheels. Those multispokers seem to be very popular with BMW owners, but some of them like these- look plenty cheap.
Guess? Another BMW! I dont think Ive ever had as many in one post. At least this one is a real M3.
Ah, these. I dont even remember how, but I ended up in a street in one of the most dangerous parts of the city, and found this bunch of Citroens. The guy that had them talked to me a bit, said he had had several along the years and that these are the ones I kept. It was evident that he could barely keep them running (the ones that did), but it was really cool from him to try to maintain these things functioning, given their complex mechanics.
He was working in this one when I found them. His daily driver, he said.
Its engine. When was the last time you saw a DS engine? Probably never, if youre like me. At least not outside a show.
This one was in the worse shape of all of them, but it wasnt thaaat bad and seemed to be fairly complete. Id imagine getting stuff like chrome trim or parts for these must be a pain.
Inside his house was yet ANOTHER one, that seemed to be somewhat stripped. Was it being restored?
I loved this thing to death, Ive always been a station wagon dude and this thing was just right, even all the patina and wear had a special charm, and the pneumatic suspension still worked. The guy told me he uses this one a lot, too.
Turning the corner gave me these two that were in a lot better shape than the others, outside a shop that had other two inside, but I could not get a picture of those.
Lots of rice this time, starting with this Matiz dressed in stupidity. I didnt even know the rice aftermarket made pieces for this car. Dig the wing.
Custom bodywork? Yes please. Just take a look at that front bumper. Wait, what bumper?
The fact that this thing has real carbon fiber panels doesnt detract from its rice factor. Later on it gained a giant carbon fiber wing.
