In the states, it is known as Dodge Magnum.

Here they are usually parked at "Buy here, pay here" dealerships, where you can get a V6 model for $100 down and 20% interest. Once purchased the buyer will immediately go across the street to a custom shop, get 24" wheels fitted, and painted with a hideous two tone paint job. Once the first month's payment is skipped, the car is repossessed, and put back in the lot. All custom accessories are pawned off, and the cycle continues.

+1 I see this happen way to often.

I always thought the Dodge Magnum was the badge engineered name for the Plymouth Fury. Dodge Magnum is also the badge engineered name of the Chrysler 300C?

You live and learn.

Badge engineering may be more American than rednecks and NASCAR.

No, we have plenty of that in Europe too.

I just didn't think that the 300C had alternative names. It's a luxury car, right? Albeit with high performance, but a luxury car nonetheless. I don't understand why Dodge was chosen. Dodge isn't a luxury brand. Plymouth would have been more acceptable, but obviously that couldn't happen.

Is Plymouth considered more of a luxury brand than Dodge? I wouldn't consider either of them luxury.

I think Plymouth was a more luxury brand than Dodge. Dodges were quite rugged and brutish when compared to Plymouths. I could be wrong, of course. I'm not spot on with my United States automobile brand positionings.

In Europe at least, Dodge was perceived as quite high performance, certainly not luxurious. The Challenger, Charger and Viper are their best known cars to the average Cecil, Jean-Marie or Franz. The Dodge brand doesn't even sell cars in Europe. Neons are re-badged as Chryslers.

Yeah that's how I had them both pegged.

That sounds about right.

Which is why I laugh whenever I see a Plymouth Neon on the road.

I saw a beautiful 458 Italia on the way back from Beaulieu Motor Museum here in the UK, next to the Maserati garage- very unlikely to see one here in the south east, only TVRs. It seemed a bit crumpled, but that might've just been me. No pics, as my Dad was driving us back, but it doesn't look as nice as in GT5. Did see a nice 599 GTO in the museum though.

How do people not read the first post when it says clearly in the title "Read First Post"? Seriously people, it's getting annoying.

That's what I was implying.
He didn't post a picture, so his post has no credibility. He might as well say he saw an Aventador J crash head on into a Zonda R.

Hey guys, PICS!

Wasn't expecting these, Ford Airplane 500 and Dodge Dart. Then found an M6.

Holy balls! I just saw a... a... if I say it, ill be yelled at.

Cool car, Wish it still had the original, back-in-the-day Saleen wheels, but who knows if its an original Saleen.

Not much to been seen lately with the cold weather setting in, but I finally got a picture of the XR-RS that's been so elusive, I first saw it a few weeks ago and didn't get a picture, and just a few days ago it was coming right at me, didn't have my phone ready as I didn't think I'd see anything, and it passed me going the other way. Well today I finally caught it, just thought I'd also share that all three time I was in my moms van(which I can't stand driving). I don't like taking pictures while I'm driving as I'm trying to focus at the task at hand. Occasionally I do break that rule such as if I'm sitting at a light or in the case of the Ferrari that overtook me coming back from the same car show I'd just seen it at(only took the picture since it is extremely rare for me to see a Ferrari "in the wild"). Now that that's taken care of feel free to enjoy the very long distance shot. Also want to point out that is a convertible which is not very obvious considering the distance away and being all black. If you can't find it right away it's in the center behind the silver car.

Magnum and 300C have different fronts. And I am so happy we don't have to twone 300C's here.
