Seen the odd Mk 3 and Mk 4 Escort about, but haven't seen an Orion for a loooong time. Funny how such cars seem to get more scarce than Lambos, Ferraris etc.

Loving the old Escorts. Mechanically atrocious, but I always loved the looks of the III, IV and V.

Moved out to Halifax for university in September, I've seen a few nice cars around.

Lexus IS-F, saw this on campus on my way over to my intramural hockey game

Jaguar XJ, the Halifax Jaguar dealership sponsors the major junior hockey team in Halifax, drove an XJ and a Land Rover on the ice for a couple minutes between periods

S2000 parked in Halifax.

I'm always happy to see GT-R's here (pre R35, since we got none in the US before that). And Impul must be pretty rare anywhere!

And S2000 because DF. But seriously, they're beautiful cars stock, but there's a bajillion of them out there, so if some guy wants to mod his and you don't like it, no big deal.

But what I really want to know is, which did better on ice, the XJ or the Land Rover?

What I found more impressive is that I found them parked next to each other.

Had a half-a-second glimpse of LP570-4 Superleggera today. If only I knew that Starbucks near my faculty is soundproof even to a V10 engine... That's one vicious way for it to turn out.

Anyway, as a compensation I got a video of an Aston V8 Vantage accelerating, I'll try to post it tomorrow as my phone refuses to be nice to me :<

EDIT:

Yaaay, I got it to work! c:

E-type steppin out

tasty SS Camaro

firebird

and a new-to-me 430

Suspicious man and El Camino. Sounded really good after he sped away suspiciously. Another weird thing is a few cops sped past us a few minutes after we left... Not saying he stole it or anything, probably all just a coincidence.

TeH BeeTl3?!???!!!!

There was also a place around there that sells tuning cars. I don't know much about rice though, and I don't know if any of them were good or not. Did recognize an old RX-7 there and one of the Maserati Quattroportes I've posted on here was at that store, but not today.

Oh, and that red car at the top right of the El Camino pic I believe was a Mitsubishi 3000GT, I don't know if they are considered good or not, but they are relatively common here. Not like seeing one everyday, probably one a week.

Damn is the 300 gorgeous... (it's a 300SL Cabriolet, right?)
And that SS is a prime example of preserving a muscle car the right way.

Is that really a 3000GT? This one seems way too short for me to be one of those. Anyway, I think it's a car that is soon-to-be relatively rare. In Poland I saw like 2 or 3 of those...

I think it said 3000GT on the back, but then again I don't even know hardly anything about them.

But those wheels are nasty. :yuck:

+1

Edit: woohoo my first multi quote worked!

yes, 300sl roadster, not gullwing, yet to see one of those

and I thought the same of the Camaro's wheels, looked plastic next to the pristine body and paintif o

and 3000GT's/Dodge Stealths are fairly common still here at least, I see 5 a weeks I'd guess. But they're one of the few great Japanese sports cars of the era we got in the US, so I'm guessing it's going to remain popular for years to some, and will eventually be a classic. I like seeing them (if only because I can say yes! not an Eclipse.) Let's see... Skylines? Nope. Silvias, nope. Supras, only a few. RX-7's? FD's stopped coming here early. STi's and Evos are the only other two from that era we got, really. And 300ZX's.

Just a quick story from today :)

My usual commute to university is just like an average day, nothing special to take a picture of but today was pretty epic.

Well I'm slowly making my way to the city center on my bicycle, and i begin to hear a distant yet noticeable vehicle sound, I'm looking around everywhere and can't see it, there's a few buildings around me and an overpass so could not pinpoint where the sound was coming from either. i cycle a little further along the road and then the sound is gradually becoming much louder, i can tell that it must be a motorbike, I'm waiting for the lights to change at a crossroad and then hear it downshifting from the road on the right, then coming round the corner i see a black Suzuki GSXR1000. The exhaust note was total eargasm :D, not sure if it was an aftermarket or de-silenced exhaust. The bike I've seen before but not this one. Its a shame i couldn't grab a photo in time, as he accelerated away but that moment nonetheless i will remember for quite a while.

Ahhh, the thrill of motorcycles!

This is rather off topic but I was thinking of the amount of times I hear that sound, and then I clicked on your Avatar and you're also in Coventry! 👍
Anyways back to business: this should be in this thread

:D Nice to see a member from Coventry, i only live about 10mins away from the city centre. I've seen quite a few nice looking motorbikes since starting university, slowly beginning do some bike spotting too, but my knowledge of bikes is not as good.

About the post, I thought it would be OK as I've seen previous posts similar to mine. Oh well thanks for the heads up 👍

Went to a classic car show (debatable) today.
Never contributed to this thread, and I might as well start it with some classics.

Pictures coming soon.

Audi 100/200 (I'm not sure, I was too drunk to notice)

A rarity these days.

^^ I thought that 360 looked a little wrong at first, like too upright, not svelte enough, suspected an MR2-based kit but then googled and my bad, had just never realised it was that "stocky" looking.

Definently a 100. Says it on the back. I remember when my mom had one, those were the days.

Ah, thanks. It was bugging me for the rest of the night!

Hadn't seen one in ages. Rich in 1980s German boxyness!
