Welcome back Tex 👍👍

How is college mate? I hope they have not kicked you out so soon, now that you are able to race again. Please tell me I am wrong :)

Well, as have said before, I am really looking forward to Sunday, even more now that we have Mr Fast Fingers back. I am a bit worried about the silence from Risky though....not a good sign as he is one fast dude. You podium finishers take note he is smiling on you lot :)

ussr I dont think you have to worry. If there are freezes etc we can always splt into 2 groups. I am sure Steve can host a second lobby if needed. It would be great if you can record some of the races with your new camera 👍

FLX....mmm it is going to be war fighting for that last place. Oh and btw what is wrong with 8pm Sundays in Germany Maddin?

Its 9pm here... :P

ussr, your ps3 can handle as many cars as mine. Problem might be your connection (by this I mean your router)

Freezes only happen if you're running cars above 2000PI in REALLY fast tracks (usually) so I wouldn't worry about that.

@ Rommie: Ya know what, I feel your point on the Lambos. I got my Steve McQueen on today and test drove a 2009 Mustang GT... 4.6L V8, 305hp. What a sound, oh lord above... The hairs on my neck are still standing up! It almost fell apart with 30000km on the clock and after about half an hour the tire pressure sensor died... But that sound, that MWRRRRROOOOOOAAAAARRRRR, that growl is gonna haunt my dreams for some weeks now...

I m not that lucky, though. The dirty rotten grin in my face really starts to hurt now, 5 hrs later. But I dunno how to get it away... :D

The BEST ever sound I heard was last year at an airshow. I was about 30 meters away when they fired up a WW2 Spitfire. Sweet overlord that takes your breath away when they crank up that Merlin engine :nervous:

I will disconnect all of my other devices that are connected while I'm driving on line and maybe this helps, Thanks for pointing this out. 👍

My problem is also video frame rate when I'm in on line races sometime. Not being able to run smoothly when your game keeps jumping on our screen really kills any chance for decent smooth drive. :indiff:

I will see if smaller group is right solution for me, this might be good idea, but we will see this Sunday. And Yes i will record all our on-line races 👍

Thats true, ussr. But since we all suffer the same thing, it doesnt give you a disadvantage. Eh... at least I am, those stutters are there for everybody, right?!

PS: Thanks for videotaping! 👍

Ok, so I just tested the GT1 cars @ Dubai... First the Mazzer since I owned that already, then the GTR which was way too slow and annoying in comparison. About 2 seconds a lap slower. Next I tested the Aston, which I instantly fell in love with: Great handling, 0.7 seconds slower than the MC12... thought to myself: well you aint gonna win no bloody races anyway... then the Lambo: Straight up perfect 10/10 handling but unfortunately even slower than the Aston, over half a second. Cool, I thought, so Aston it is...

And then I remembered that ussr told me to try the Matech GT and it completely annihilated the Aston and the MC12s times. Over 2 seconds faster than the Aston - and it wasnt even that good of a lap!!! WTF?!?

Soooo just a quick question: Who is gonna use the GT? If the Steve, ussr, hondy and Tex will all use it, we others can all go and read a book instead. And using other cars would be a move of stupidity. :guilty:

I have a properly tuned Ford GT, but normally use the MC12 with Terronium's tune, because I find it more stable over the majority of track types with all assists off, and online it will almost always be faster than the competition...especially the Astons. :)

Today I did a sub-2 minute with it on Mount Panorama against very stiff opposition.

(Good for me anyway )

FLX: You callin' me stupid?

Even with the GT I won't be able to beat the podium contenders (I tried) so it'll be a pleasure to kick some other arses with the Lambo... or at least I hope so

Dude, you d drive a Lambo, so... yeah! Like "drivin a freakin deathtrap"-stupid! :D

But ya know what, that would be a very nice duel, you in the Murcie vs me in the Aston... Guess I ll decide on Sunday what I ll use on the spot! 👍

Good idea, i like it 👍 Set your car's and pick the best for competition.

Well the Matech GT just doesn´t work for me. Spend all week triing to get it below 1:55,xxx - just can´t find the pace. I´ll try the MC12 tomorrow...maybe thats better for me...

Its gonna be a series split in two: the Steve, ussr, hondy and tex fighting for stellar times in their shiny Matechs and the pack of us mortals in our shoddy other cars with our limited skills, fighting for 5th place crumbs.

Would be better/tighter/more interesting if those 2 groups would swap cars but whatever.

Oh come on hondy... There is a thin line between understatement and making fun of slower folks!

im not making fun of anyone, someone is saying that there is a top 4 already and we havent even done a race, it sound like they have given up on winning already, put in the laps and a setup will come, i find the ford is the best and for me mine is bog standard, just dont give in mate thats all im saying:)

I'm sorry if I sounded harsh. It was never my intent.

And I never stopped racing faster guys because i'm slower. Actually, I improved a lot trying to beat faster lap times as one can check in Autolog :sly:

A note about setups: I don't think its that easy to setup a car as it is not my area of expertise so to speak.

Guys, better take a seat: Dunno if I can make it tonight. Appearantly I promised some weeks ago to join my friends at the Wasen (Stuttgarts version of the Oktoberfest) today soooo... No idea if I can make it home tonight before 8 pm (doesnt seem so realistic) and even if so I surely wont be able to drive in a straight line and if my Wasen habits from past years will kick in, I d probably fall asleep at my DFGT during the race! :D

Damnit! :ouch:
