Edit, never mind, you did already . :)

You can add the Citroen DS to the historic list :)

This is from their insta live feed.

Another addition today: Skoda Fabia R5 spotted in it's 2019 livery. Added to list.

Also rumours suggesting the Mustang RGT is basically confirmed but nothing official yet.

Edit: until now.

First post now up to date with all of the past few days announcements. Adjusted the classes as well to be more in line with Dirt Rally and Dirt 4 to make it easier to see.

45 total confirmed including 1 preorder bonus. Dirt Rally 2 website says "over 50" so still a few more to come. Still expecting a few more Group B to come.

Curiously no 2000s cars so far, losing the 2001 Focus and Impreza and 2007 Focus and C4 from DR1. Speculation is the 2000s class may return as DLC in one of the expansions.

It feels like the the total car count for the DiRT games has always hovered around the 50 vehicles mark, although DiRT 2 had the most unique list since a bulk of the cars were modified for 3 classes.

To be fair, there aren't that many cars you can feature in a realistic rally-focused game so the list is respectable.

This car list kind of sucks, there is barely anything new but the Fabia is there so I will have to buy it.

New to Dirt Rally series - 25 cars
All R5 cars (x6)
WRX STi NR4
Mitusbishi Evo 6
Opel Adam R2
Ford Fiesta R2
Opel Ascona
Datsun 240z
Peugeot 205
VW Golf Mk2 GTi
Citroen DS21
Porsche 911
Chevrolet Camaro GT4
Ford Mustang GT4
Aston Martin V8 Vantage
Renault Megane RX
Audi S1 RX
Ford Fiesta mk8 RX
Subaru WRX RX
VW Polo 1600
Speedkart extreme

New to Dirt franchise - 14
C3 R5
Polo R5
Fabia R5
Datsun 240z
VW Golf Mk2 GTI
Citroen DS21
Porsche 911
Chevrolet Camaro GT4
Ford Mustang GT4
Aston Martin V8 Vantage
Audi S1
Renault Megane RX
Ford Fiesta mk8 RX
Subaru WRX RX

Enough new cars in there for me. Especially coming from the first Dirt Rally. Still a few to he announced yet as well.

Dirt Rally did have the Subaru WRX RX and also the Opel Kadett.

Having said that, I do like the list!

I believe it had the older spec Impreza hatchback rather than the newer non Impreza WRX STi.

It is a great list, brilliant to have such a strong R5 category for the game, missing the i20 which is a shame but that could yet still show up.

It is shaping up really really nice!!!!

I can't remember the last time I was this exctied for a rally car list. Sebastian Loeb rally Evo came close but the lacking sounds and models nullified it somewhat. I think DR2.0 is right up there with it for an on paper list though.

Possibly a stupid question, but i take it we can assume that the 2000's rally cars will be in the game? But they may just be the same lineup as Dirt Rally 1?

was really hoping for the 1998 Sti and 2003 Sti, and a Peugot 206. But i guess the 1998 Sti and 2003 are unlikely given that there is the 1995 and 2001.

It's very unlikely we'll see them at launch .

Ah no :( i'll be gutted if there are no 2000's cars, it's the only class i play with on the previous game, i'll keep my fingers crossed for the next month or so then, i don't think i'll be buying it if they are not present, i've been looking forward to this game for ages.

Final car list being released this afternoon. Stay tuned.

Edit:

So that's it now. The full and final car list for launch. The Opel Manta which was previously on the list isn't on the list. So we actually lose one from what was expected but still a 51 car strong list.

This also confirms no 2000s class, no F2 kitcar class and no Group B RWD class at launch.

Of course, the only car not shown above is the Porsche 911 RGT Rally spec – which will only be initially available for those purchasing the Deluxe Edition. 60 days after the game launches, this will become available as separate DLC for those of you who want to pick up the Porsche – at which point, there will also be a whole host of seasonal content for you to enjoy too.

And on that seasonal content: we’ll be revealing the content for season one before the game launches! So if any of you are on the cusp about pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition, you’ll have a window to assess what’s included and make a call. :)

We’ll also be back here soon with a full supported peripherals list so you have a full picture of what will be compatible with DiRT Rally 2.0 as well as lots more. But today, for now, we’ll leave you with this amazing video of Jon Armstrong taking Chief Games Designer Ross for a real life rally around Wales. We love the variety of emotions on display the most!
