I would still like to purchase the S3&S4 pack but it’s £20.

The super deluxe version of the game is only £30 in the sale.

I’m in the same boat, except it’s even less of a value proposition for Seasons 3-4 in Canada. The Super Deluxe (all game content) version is $40.04, while seasons 3-4 is $39.99.
5 cent difference for the entire game and all seasons, or just seasons 3-4.

I feel like I’ve been through a war.
First monthly challenge completed! I did the group B that finished up in Germany. OMG straight through one sitting. Yeah I’m slow, but I survived!
Real sense of accomplishment after that. Can’t believe I managed to keep it together that long.
Currently inside top 300, but I doubt many people actually entered...

The monthlies are the main events I do. I think I’m pretty fast finishing in the top 200’s and then I do a Daily and realize how slow I really am.

Oh yeah, me too. I know I’m slow, my only hope is tortoise vs hare and people wiping out...
That doesn’t change how fun and challenging it is though.
I mean, I make it to final stages in Germany, I’m in a dark room in my rig engrossed, and the fricken deer jumps out in front of me! I mean my heart jumped.
It’s fun just to be that into it, my pace scares me sometimes, and that’s enough for me, doesn’t matter that I really don’t know what I’m doing, it’s still fun, even if I’m slow compared to most. I mean I can see on replay how it looks, and I can’t even begin to approach what most of the cars can do, but it’s still fun.
Anything modern, no idea how people are so damn fast, on dailies in anything modern, I’m doing well anytime I get above midpack!
That’s why I posted up, just the experience the game provided in terms of challenging MYSELF at MY level was tremendous.
It’s just an engrossing game...

Fast over crest is looking for some semi-okay to good drivers to join out group. No pros please. We do weekly rallies, 12 stages. Next one starts on Friday. Send me a message. Thanks.

Whats the news on DLC? Is there anymore on the way? Im really into rallycross at the moment and would love for them to complete the WRX circuits with the addition of SPA and round out the cars with the Hyundai of Gronholm and Timurzyanov.

Supposedly we will find out in the spring according to a teaser

@PJTierney Any idea why the add-on pack isn’t in the sale? (Sorry for moaning.) It just doesn’t seem like good value for those of us that already own the digital version of the deluxe edition. :(

I'm not involved in the pricing and don't speak for those who do, but I imagine this is intentional.

  • Season 4 is still active currently, DLC comes out until the end of January.
  • The Discount for Super Deluxe is likely a pricing based on a discounted game and/or Seasons 1 and 2.
I wouldn't be surprised if Season 3 and 4 get discounted from February, once all the content is out :)

Question for the more informed out there - when you enhance your staff in my team, does the changes in repair times, tire change times, reset to track, etc, translate into World Series and League events? Or only for daily events and career mode?

I haven't actually tested it, but I'm 99% certain that My Team upgrades only apply to events in the My Team section of the game. I mean, that's the whole reason those things are grouped under that section in the first place.

That’s what I was thinking as well. During a league I rolled the car over once and also got a flat, and the on the stage ‘repair’ time seemed to be very similar to the time it took in My Team events with my upgraded team. So I started to wonder.

Too bad we can’t use our garage cars off-line in custom championships.

I’m more or less tired of the online events. The computer created my team events are stale with the service stages every other stage, and the time of day cycles are too predictable cycling through day/night.

How about a couple consecutive day, dusk, or night stages for once. And Wales is killing me with the constant heavy rain.

The community events are still segregated by either new or DLC content only which is boring.

Creating my own events is more fun, but like I said, not having access to my own garage is a little disappointing.

Agree. This has been disappointing to me from the start. I liked creating my own events in DR1 and using my own cars and earning money on top of it as opposed to doing only career or online events like in DR2.0 with my cars.

The always online career and garage seems so unpopular, why don't they get rid of it? Probably won't happen at this point, though.

The wear and tear on vehicles from event to event is completely lost with the current offline custom championship settings. There’s something about managing the condition of the car between events that makes it more interesting. Instead you get a brand new car every event.

And the whole tire wear and compound choice they developed is also completely lost with the online championships. Mediums? Don’t need them; there’s another service stage coming right up. Hard tires? What’s the point.

Trust me when I say you get a whole different level of depth and strategy when you create your own events. Try 8 consecutive stages with 60-100km of distance in varying weather and you’ve got a completely different (and better) game. Should I risk using softs? Will they last? Do I really need hards? I randomize the service stages and keep them to an absolute minimum. It makes the game seem more like a real rally and not some collection of high speed time trials.

Your mileage may vary.

Anybody know what the huge 8gig+ update was for yesterday...
thanks.

but , we do have the 28th content already or?

Manual wipers are (well finally) manual after the last update. 👍

Meaning if you have the options set to ‘Manual’, they will be off when starting the stage. No more default to ‘slow intermittent’.

One press activates the wipers to intermittent. Another press turns them fully on. Repeated pressing cycles between intermittent and full on.

Hold the button to turn off.

Thank you,
Thank you.

:)

Should be that one press does one cycle only and some other combination for other options. Kind of an UX fail, since the game doesn't have dynamic weather you will set your wipers speed only one time per stage, while you will need one cycle wipe during the stage when you hit the puddle and it takes your concentrtion away holding the button to turn them off.

Another recommendation:

Give us the option to choose the stage degradation on custom AI events, similar to the club events.

With a field of 20 cars ‘Full’ is extreme. ‘Authentic’ is the best choice, but again with 20 competitors you’re never going to see anything more than very early stages of surface degradation.

Offline players always seem to get unnecessary limitations, but in reality the stage degradation feature isn’t really showcased much online anyway.

The only place you’ll find decent examples of degradation is the offline historic events, but those are more or less ‘one and done’, and they don’t include the DLC content.
