My save file got corrupted a while back...was aspec 31 and bspec 19 at that time so it wasn't as bad as your case, but still it sucked.
I contemplated just gving up on the game, but luckily the seasonal events gave me a small boost in levels.

Just start over, after 2 weeks you'll be back on track,

Right now I'm back at aspec 33 and bspec 23 after 5 weeks of play.

I have the GT5 save data file on my PC, 2 usb sticks and CD - with 99% game completed ....so im sure if something happens to my save data i know where i will get it....

My friend has never duped and got £15k put into his bank account by Sony for virtuous behaviour. True story bro.

The level of trolling in 2011 is pretty low.

Into his in game account you mean right? As in 15,000 credits to spend on cars or upgrades? Surely you don't mean actual cash in his real world bank account?

Lol my friend just got his gt5 account erased for duping cars. Not sure if they are cracking down hard or not but he got caught and now has to start all over. Dup at your own risk Now lol

They wont do a thing against duping. If he lost his data, its probably because of corruption. Its totally unrelated to Sony.

And let say it like this, dupping has almost always been risky if you werent careful, not because you risked getting banned, but because of data corruption.

The fact that they are banning hackers in CoD is that it required people to mod their PS3 in order to do so.
And while prestige hacking consisted in fact of exploiting a glitch in the first few months, that glitch was fixed.

I would imagine you are an anti "dupe" player trying scaremonger rumours .. Explain what exactly is a "GT5 Account" i would like one myself .. I have a PSN account and a GT5 game save so i would like to have a hattrick with the elusive "GT5 account" do you mean he had an account on Grand turismo's homepage in which case that is a GT account not a GT5 account.

Wow what? You saw that he put the british pound symbol with the amount didn't you? I ask because I've never heard of such a thing happening before, with in game credits or real cash. That makes me a dunce eh?
Calling someone a dunce for asking a legit question is pretty much crap as far as I'm concerned.:grumpy:
And don't bother shooting some other derogatory statement back my way because it's not worth it. Yes, you had it coming!

Can someone point me towards a gt5 save game? That I can download? Thanks

I know I cant work it on my ps3

If you're hoping to get the filenames/sizes then here are the ones from a backup I made a few days ago;

The detail show filename, actual size and size on disk

GT5.0 : 805,632 / 806,912
ICON0.PNG : 28,871 / 32,768
PARAM.PFD : 32,768 / 32,768
PARAM.SFO : 2,736 / 4,096
PIC1.PNG : 4,481 / 8,192

I suspect that the two PARAM files and the two PNG files might be the same for whatever game save you use (within your PSN ID).

You could try backing up a NEW game folder, duplicating it and placing your old GT5.0 file inside it?

If you have those files, then what you can try and do is create a new save file on GT5, then quit back out to the XMB.

Go to Save data, then copy your GT5 save to a USB stick.

Open the save folder on your PC and you should see these files in there.

Delete them, then copy the files that you have from your old GT5 save.

Delete the GT5 save on your PS3 then copy the save from USB.

Hopefully, it should work.

Check your filesizes though (except GT5.0) - I'm pretty sure the other 4 are the same size for everyone. If one of those four from your OLD save is significantly smaller then it's quite possible that it's the corrupted/incomplete file.
