What gets on my tits is people painting a car a different colour and maybe changing the wheels and sharing it, making the good liveries lost in a sea of ****.
Well, you can't actually apply any changes to a car without sharing the livery. It's a bit of an annoying flaw with the system.

For me I think the whole distressed "rust look" is overdone and looks like 🤬 , Beyond that pretty much any racecar liveries from past games are overdone.

If a car/brand has used a memorable livery its probably been overdone.

Whilst I may occasionally do the overdone stuff like Jagermeister I also look to do less well known liveries like.

I tend to follow people that can create good liveries in the first place. They tend to repost better work than most. Then I can check out the gallery of the reposted person and see if there is anything I like there! I can make my own good designs, but on occasion someone will do something that I will never try to replicate, but I feel is cool enough to go on my car. There will be so many F1 liveries out there that I may never do one. As a livery creator you just can't help but do your own version of some major livery cars!

Look at my library for awesome liveries and stuff!! L & R buddy, good job! Thanks for the likes and follow me back!

Just kidding now ;)

But do you perhaps have a link to this Beetle? I think its very well designed and put together, would like to add it to my collection.

Thanks for the compliments and I have checked out and "Cherry picked" your awesome stable of liveries! As a fan of Scalextric and the like I had to!

You can find the Beetle here, but you'll have to scroll down a bit to get it.

People can overdo liveries all they like if they are at least half decent. The more people making an effort the better. What gets on my tits is people painting a car a different colour and maybe changing the wheels and sharing it, making the good liveries lost in a sea of ****.

I wish this comment would pop-up for each user just before they share their livery!!

This. Perhaps in the future PD could implement a feature where if you have <20 or so followers, you need something like 25 - 75% body coverage in decals (any higher and you could just circumvent it by covering the whole thing in a decal) or at least 10 smaller decals before being allowed to post. I mean, take this Lambo of mine:

Put on a custom plate, fake air intakes, hood pins and a Ferrari-style badge on the door (think I put Ferruccio's signature on the back too) and suddenly what could have been a very plain livery actually has quite a few intricacies to it if you look closely. This is about as minimalist as I think one should be allowed to be.

Agreed on the rust, feel it's been done to death already. That livery of yours is nice, is that Delecour's '91 Sierra by any chance?

Yeah and you've made an effort...

I think the most overdone liveries are the Martini ones, because not only there are many, many done for the same car, but most of them aren't even nicely done, just a logo and a couple striped quickly threw in. And people just showering them with likes while there are many other liveries of better quality nobody seem to notice make me rise an eyebrow.

Very nice simple minimalist Lambo dude 👍

Same paint scheme I did see a few examples of the Sierra when doing my research but I focused more on the RS200 as I felt the body style to be much closer to the Focus, But now that you mention the Sierra I may have a crack at a similar livery on say a Mustang perhaps

There is some garbage in the most liked section it‘s unbelievable.
What‘s even more fun/dumb is the fact that people ignore the comments that say that the livery has been updated. My 3 F1 cars still get likes and likes and likes every day but people only like the v1 and don‘t even bother looking for the updated versions which are far better (especially the Minardi) but yet sit at sub 40 likes  :banghead:

Well, the way the game sorts out things is not the best. Also, it would be better if we could just edit the shared post.
Exactly, I stopped counting how often I deleted shared liveries and reshared them because there was a typo somewhere or I messed up something else with the livery itself

I wondered why, once a livery has been shared, some editing can't be done - either to the post sharing, or even to the livery itself.

In addition, as I am one of the guilty who make colour changes [sorry] I also wonder why the base car colour can't be editable? Or when a livery is shared, a portfolio of colour schemes can't be added.

I'm a bit tired of Fast & Furious liveries, or as I like to call it, "The Official Necromancy Community for Paul Walker".

This one in a few days... :)

I am participating in a championship and I made the livery for me and my team mate.
It has a lot of custom made decals. I removed these decals in the "my decals" folder to create some space, as I wasn't gonna use them on other cars. Result : The decals didn't show up on the livery. So it was a non-finished car. As the race started in 15 minutes, I still shared it, so my team mate could use it for the race. One hour later, after the race, the livery had 5 likes, 1 comment and 1 repost :')

If you delete them after the livery is saved/shared they‘ll stay there until you open the livery again. You‘ll then get a message saying that some decals couldn‘t be loaded and they‘ll be missing
