The deadzone problem can be fixed without returning the wheel for a replacement.

I know, we shouldn't have to do it, and we probably shouldn't do it either (in theory the warranty can be invalidated) so it's your decision in the end.

The instructions are here: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...ing-wheel-thread.311143/page-36#post-10301777

Just follow these instructions methodically and you will be fine. As far as I know all the people who went through the effort are glad they did it.

Now this thread is aimed at tackling the feel given by the brake pedal through a cheap mod, so let's try to stay on topic. ;)

Yes and I didn't like it, there was also a lot less than half a goof ball that could fit. I'm also conscious that I may have a picked a foam golf ball with the wrong density...

Got the bigger chocolate looking squares through today, Much bigger and the same as Darins, Think im going to get the T3PA Pro pedals though so if that happens if anyone wants all the stuff i've accumulated on my search for the perfect mod as long as you live in the UK i'l send you's them.

That's really good of you mate could I be cheeky and take you up on the offer?:guilty::D

I've also ordered the bigger chocolate squares and I'm waiting for the delivery.

The smaller ones have been given another job: I've stuck 4 under my PS4. More time is needed to confirm it but they may have solved my random-disc-ejection issue...

Edit (1/4): the bigger chocolate squares have arrived and I was able to try them. It's definitely the better size.

Good news!
Spent the last five hours on gsce with my ball mod - and it's great.
With two balls i really need to stand on the pedal to get a lock-up, getting consistent laps around Interlagos within a couple of tenths.

Finally got my rubber feet from Amazon from Darin's link but they are tiny! Rewatched the vid and they are far smaller than those ones in it.
Re-ordered these...http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00H8UTZV0/?tag=gtplanetuk-20

Check Darin's link. All I did is follow the instructions on the tin... ;)

Apologies guys. I noticed the difference between what he used on the video & the Amazon example Darin provided & asked him directly. He was kind enough to respond that it was indeed the 19mm ones he used so you're now good to go with the bigger ones :)

Sorry for not updating you with this. I was so busy cutting lumps out my old trainers etc & forgot. My bad! I think I did provide a link to the bigger ones earlier in thread at the time I was wondering about this.

Let us know how you get on with the 19mm jobs. What did you end up using for the stoppers to press against? I'm still rocking my nikle lunarlon foam piece cut to size & figured that would do us until if I ever upgraded to the T3PA PRO's

I'm switching round the pads: I'm now trying with the chocolate square on the pedal instead.
This is because when it's on the base, it tends to slip down and catches the bottom of the pedal. It may be unclear until you look at your pedal.
Since switching, because of the shape of the pedal, the chocolate square is not going to slip.
I'm not prepared to super glue anything on my pedal set yet as I'm still looking for the right feel and, as shown on Darin's video, the glue attacks the plastic, it turns white.

yeah I figured that might be an issue. Another reason why I thought I'd stick with the cut to size piece of lunarlon foam!

Oh well let us know how you get on with it the other way round Warrius & good luck

@UkHardcore23

Looks Great. Any chance you could tell us the name of those springs, as well as post a link. I like the way you used nut and bolt to attach to the pedal. (picture is posted crooked)
