Do you have a song that helps you race, but you are embarrased to play it?

There's only one song I play while racing in GT5, Borrowed Time by TC feat Sub Focus (the song from the GT5 Night Racing trailer) that song gets me in the zone but it's not embarrassing.

I'm only embarrased because not many people have heard of the great danish band VOLBEAT

Volbeat are only the band that opened the Metallica concert I attended recently! Such a class wee band.

I have loads of muisc that would have me red faced if someone walked in.

The biggest culprits are old wrestling themes from WCW and WWF/E. Some of them are just perfect to suit aggressive driving moods.

Kurt Angles old Medal theme is for WINNERS. That why I listen to it :sly:

The other day I was driving to work and the radio played that Band of Skulls "Patterns" song that's in the game. You know the "one for the sorrow, two for the joy" one.

Halfway through the song, I looked down I was going 110.

I don't know about helping me race....but I get perverse pleasure of using Initial D sound tracks as my race BGM....

This happens to me all the time online. My song is Paramore- Misery Buisness. Something about that song puts me in the zone, like the shaving seconds off my times and split second breakneck decisions zone:dunce:
When i play it everyones all like "WTFs someone playing?" and i quick it off.

Well, this isnt just GT5. It happens to me in Burnout too. This pic sums it up perfectly-

Does this happen to anyone else?

Hahahahahahahahahaha

The Chain by Fleetwood mac is a goodun, though to be honest i never listen to that before a race or while racing, i like just the sound of the car.

Are you serious? I hear Volbeat from the radio almost every day. It's getting kinda annoying already.

And to answer the op: No. BGM Off.

There are selections from the Aria and Ah! My Goddess anime soundtracks that help me relax and get into the zone.

Aria, in particular, takes place in a futuristic rebuilt Venice and thus is very Italian-sounding...perfect for flying around Toscana, Rome or even warming up in Monza, or for playtime in my F40.

That being said, I'll laugh if someone tries to get Stiggy and plays vuvuzelas, foreign language audio classes, or Morse code whilst driving.
