Would you want the major supercar companies like Ferrari, Porsche, or Lamborghini in GT5 if it was possible? Vote then post. :)

I do want them in, but at the same time in my view GT5 is not going to pass or fail at being a great game because of having them or not.

No. Nobody likes Porsches, Lamborghinis or Ferraris. They are too loud and their looks are outrageous.

Alright, we can have them in. I'm very forgiving like that.

I want every single car manufacturer in this next game. But, I still love to tune regular production cars to become much better than the super exotic cars. I just wonder if it was always a money issue or if PD doesn't like these types of cars. They have other exotics, maybe its the licensing.

It would be cool to have them, but if not, I'll keep my Zonda. Hopefully GT5 will give us other color choices, though. 3 models and all silver? What the hell is that?

Allow me to be professional on this. Of course I would want the major supercars. I'm just not a fanatic or overly obsessed with them like many other people my age range (I'm 23). That's been my problem with my peers- supercar obsession and really just some people taking this too far. People tell me that Gran Turismo is a racing game and that slower cars don't need to be in a racing game. Some of you know as well as I do- who said they have to be fast? Racers know how to handle a very fast car and use it around the track successfully. REAL racers know how to handle ANY car and use it effectively around any track. It's one of those times where I got sick of people thinking every other car was a Skyline or a Kei car. Didn't the license tests ever teach you about being proficient in racing with any car you're given? You started with a Mazda Demio in the first GT4 test in a 0-1000m run. You progressed all the way to a one-lap time trial around Nürburgring Nordschleife in a Mercedes-Benz DTM racer (the 1992 touring car). Still, some are just obsessed with wickedly fast like nothing else matters. I would still want to see the three highly-debatable car companies in GT5. You can live without these companies. I also hate how people just only look to these three companies for quality sports cars where there are other companies with cars that can beat almost any other. One Saturday morning, an old episode of Fifth Gear featured a twin-engined Caterham which has wicked 0-60 times. Some of you real car fans know what you're getting with a Caterham. I believe a nicely-tuned Caterham had even better acceleration than a Ferrari Enzo. Still, there are those who think the Enzo is God and every other wannabe supercar is God's sheep. Then you have Ruf and Gemballa who come up with exceptional automobiles of their own. See what I mean with obsession? I'm talking about the ones who just cringe over the fact that there is some other car is equal or better performance. There are plenty of supercars in GT4 even if not made by Ferrari, Porsche, or Lamborghini. Or maybe two of the three were in at least one GT. Did you know the Lancia Stratos is powered by a Ferrari engine? Did you know that the Vector M12 has a Lamborghini engine?

I just don't want Ferrari, Porsche, and Lamborghini to be the key highlights of GT5 if they were included. Having these three companies as a highlight is like how I feel about possibilities of damage in GT5- nice that it's there, but nothing to be excited about. Some people will be quick to be excited about a game simply because of a certain car in the game, all to be saddened that some aforementioned companies isn't included. Take Enthusia. You come across the EB110 (or at least I have). But the company is Dauer who made this machine. Quick! Who makes the EB110? Right- Bugatti. Bugatti isn't in Enthusia, so is that a bad thing or a good one? Gemballa featured a car similar to the Boxster in "Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3." Sad that it's not a Porsche or good that the likeness of a popular car company is there? TXR3 (and even Enthusia) does have a beautiful classic car called the DeTomaso Pantera GTS, an Italian car with an American powerplant. And let's face it. You can't be any more American with a Ford powerplant. You may say that we are easily enticed by big-name companies in ANY racing game, or at least any car with that resemblance. Fact of the matter is that every production car you see in a GT game is a real car. That's something people fail to realize especially with the Cizeta V16T. It isn't like the Burnout series or any other arcadish racing game where cars basically resemble existing cars. First of all, how many of you known of Cizeta before GT4? People just fail to realize what a GT DOES have compared to what someone WANTS out of GT. You put behind little details and quickly attack anything Forza or something doesn't have.

Long story short... I DO want to see them in. I'm just not obsessed or won't buy a game because they aren't included. Proceed.

Esp. since the 7.3 model was shown in that blue before silver....:grumpy:

They need to update the Zondas though. They're a little bit better than GT3's, but they still handle a bit like pigs.
👍

As far as Pagani goes, I like the Zondas. Just don't make me go through another own-fest like what the Italian Avantgarde (GT3) was.

So true. One of the few races that kept me from 100% besides the super license ones (could never beat the grad test).

Sure I want to see them, but there are other supercarmakers too, like Bugatti, Maserati, McLaren, Koenigsegg, and I´d rather get all of these instead of just the three big ones. And there are supercars left out, from manufacturers that are already represented in GT4, like the Mercedes CLK GTR roadcar or the BMW M1.

Hey JohnBM01, the Audi R8 has a Lamborghini chassis too, right?

We should have at least Lamborghini in because it's owned by Audi, but I'd be particularly happy if Porche put in its best models ever like the 959, the GT2 (IMO), the Carrera GT, its 962 Group C car, just to name a few. Ferraris would be nice, but liek John said, we've lasted 4 GT's without them, we can last a little while longer.

I would LOVE to see them in GT5! I think it'd be interesting to run those up against cars like the TVR Cerbera Speed 12, the Pagani Zonda C12 7.3, the Ford GT, etc. However, if not, I'll be smiling knowing that there's a myriad of other cars to keep my automotive tastebuds happy :D.

-> Yes, I'd like to see more supercars in GT5 not just LamPorFerra trio. I'd like to see more alternative supercars like:

- Bugatti
- Maserati
- Dauer
- Gemballa
- Koenigsegg
- 9FF
- Vemac
- Brabus
- Mosler
- Isdera

...then, more cars from:

- Ruf (I like to try out that R50 concept)
- Saleen (tuned Mustangs, and S7 Twin Turbo)
- Mercedes-Benz (especially AMG)
- Pagani (more colors, and Zonda F series)
- BMW (M1 anyone?)
- Spyker (C12)
- Bentley (wheres the Continental series)

...and please bring back...

- Vector (I still love the W8)
- Venturi (I'd like to see the Atlantique series on GT5)

-> As my sig still states, I still like to see GT5 to have more than 10,000 cars in the game. (:

I'd like to see some more of the other supercar makers, much liek the list provided by The Vanishing Boy.

Ahhhh....I forgot the one I always liked to call the Sledgehamer...the Vector W8 Weigert TT!! That car was one mean beast! I would love to see that one make a reappearance. Yes, I agree wholeheartedly with The Vanishingboy

Nice list, VB. 👍

Gembrella is kinda like another Ruf, but with more apparent bodykits. I want to see the Gembrella Avalanche, I can only dream what that car would be like in GT5 .

Koenigsegg would be awesome, considering they have the fastest production car other than the Bugatti Veyron which would be nice too.

One other thing that would be another concept vehicle could be the Tomahawk, anyone? Viper engine on 4 wheels, 2.5 to 60, est. 400 mph. top speed =

Just some suggestions :)

Yes, because they are the cars I'm more interested in and want to drive in any game. I wouldn't mind if they weren't in, like there isn't too many in GT4, but it would be a nice addition, expecially if they made more Supercar championships where it focused more on them types of cars racing each other.

In the end it's gonna be something like this :

200 Supercars never featured on before GT games

or

1000 + Cars

The license costs will mean they'll have less to spend on making the game, so they won't be-able to put the cars they wanted to in, only a selection ;)

There already are "supercars" in GT4;

The caddy cien-It was a concept thing that GM decided to do...

The "le mans quatro" or the new R8

GT4:

GT has always done a very good job of replicating the way an auto "feels" when you play it. That has always been the #1 draw to this series for me.

it is no fun to go and buy "Arcade Racer X" for its "high-end Supercar X"
only to have it handle just like a nos-equiped pick-up from GT.

I have suffered this plenty of times and probably will continueto do so :ouch:
because GTs are only updated every decade or so.

One day (on PS5) GT will have 1,000,000 cars and every brand will be represented, but even then I will not be happy b/c the vey latest cars would not be included. We are tellin' PD to chase a moving finish line. all I can ask of them is to continue to make an effort to expose me, the player, to more varied cars that feel diffrent from ones I've been playing since GT1.

Oh and for the record I would slang crack rocks off of the White House lawn (to bush himself) if it would alow me to try a Fxx wit PD's physics, Ferrari engines are the most beautiful thing mankind has ever produced. Only PD could do them justice in a GT.

...and nothing turns like a Porche (try the Rufs)

...and Lambo...It's a rageing bull for heavens sake!

Think of the emotions evoked from ur favorite car when you push the limit, and be a fan of automobiles like Mr.Kaz. don't hate, paticipate, wit some late brakes!

I know all about license costs, but just because the supercars cost a bit more doesn't mean they can't afford to put a load of regular cars in the game as well, we are talking about a first party developer here. The way it works isn't that they have x million to spend on whatever cars they want, it's that they will spend upto x ammount on any single license, if the company wants more they will say no, regardless of how much more they have left on the budget. Either way, I don't see GT5 having close to 1000 cars, at least not on the disk.

What I do wan tmore than supercars though is a cockpit camera and more realisitic physics.

About the cost to licence an auto; couldn't PD levearge exposure and the "in home test-drive" advetising the included brands enjoy?

I don't know much about the buissiness but it seems pretty simple to me: u make car, we show kids how to drive it. every body wins and we both get more money, right?💡
