Ha ha! Yet another good catch for the folks at GMI!

Let me see if the interwebs had them removed...

NOPE!

Leftlane News has them all posted...

...You know someone is going to get fired over this...

Still, its good to see that they are being built. Current thoughts are that these are prototypes for early tests, and won't be quite the same as production models. There is a bit of confusion over the Coke can in the photo as well, as to whether or not this is in Canada (Brampton) or Detroit at the moment...

---

Stable photo posts, hopefully...

Looks ... so ... sexy ...

I'm not much of a Mopar fan but this thing just oozes late 60s/early 70s musclecar from every surface.

If I'm going to be perfectly honest, it's much better looking than the Camaro. But it's a Mopar, so meh.

Haha, someone is going to get screwed with these pictures. Almost like those pictures of the supercharged red vette from a while ago.

But still,......

~> Photo Evidence = SWEET!!!

-> With all these delays at GM for the final design of the Camaro, now it looks like that DCX is REALLY serious but this war now.

(:

Never post images uploaded to forum storage, YSSMAN.

Well, from what I have seen on the interwebs where I first found the photos, they have been removed. That being said, Leftlanenews has them posted as well...

I'll put them back up in the first post

They're gone again.

GTP might've removed them.

On a Lotus board I'm part of, the Administrator got in some trouble with Lotus Cars about the legality of the content posted on the boards, so some stuff had to be taken off. Maybe same thing here?

Damn, without pics, I thought it was a NASA-related thread.

We knew the car was coming, anyhow. Unlike an all-new Space Shuttle.

You may need to actually follow the link, silly...

EDIT:

For those that are lazy, there are some imageshack redirections there, so lets hope they stay this time...

They didn't do a very good job of hiding these test cars...

Four new photos give us the first real glimpses of the '08 Dodge Challenger: one comes from the pros at Brenda Priddy and Company, the other three from a Detroit-area car enthusiast with a camera phone.

Chrysler plans to unveil the production 2008 Dodge Challenger at the Chicago Auto Show in February 2008. These latest photos confirm that it will be nearly identical to the concept car. Rumors have suggested the Challenger will be offered with a choice of two V8 engines and a manual transmission only.

Previous photos showed a hand built body at the DaimlerChrysler Tech Center. Other images revealed Challenger test mules based on the Dodge Charger. Engineers used Dodge Charger bodies from the A-pillar- back, attached to full-on Challenger front-ends, complete with the fenders, hood, and front fascia.

We're that much closer to production, so its certainly a start. I can't wait to see them on the roads, as Chrysler really needs a nice car like this right now...

Look at what the 2005 Ford Mustang started- a variety of modernized retro cars. To tell you the truth, I've never hated the new Challenger. It is a slick and wicked cool car. In fact, I don't think I've hated even the classic Challenger, much less the newer models. I did an old thread called "The Return of the Muscle Car?", and most of you commented that it's indeed back and perhaps better than ever. I still find it a bit strange that we're even seeing designs like these for newer cars. I remember how many times we've seen the old Dodge Charger concept car in the late 1990s and early 2000s until we finally saw the car eventually released to the public. I think Dodge actually wanted to go through with this rather than have muscle car temporarily having wet dreams of driving and owning one of these new-age Challengers. The fact these are high-powered, RWD cars make them even more desirable. Not many would care about the return of the Challenger if it was some 240hp, FWD car with bland styling. My style preference usually involve nicely-designed cars inside and out. However, I do love a sweet muscle car as well. And this is sweeter than candy.

I'd love to see this car when released. The longshot would be if the Challenger had a HUGE number of color options like some old muscle cars (look at the classic Chargers in GT4 or the Plymouth Superbird in the same game to know what I mean). Would be cool, though. I'd want one in either their red Dodge color or a blue color like the blue the Kentucky Wildcats use.

I guess that they would utilize the majority of the colors currently available on the Charger, however I would further guess that special colors such as "Go ManGo" (Mango), "Top Banana" (yellow), "Sublime" (Green), "TorRed" (Red), "Plum Crazy" (Purple), and "HEMI Orange" (duh).

Personally, I've always liked "Plum Crazy" MOPARs, but then again, I've always had a thing for Purple (also, white) cars.

Uh-Oh

It is being reported that the upcoming Dodge Challenger will not be sold in the European market and will only be made in limited numbers for the North American market. The decision was made by Chrysler’s new owners, Cerberus Capital Management, who overturned plans made by the automaker's previous management.

The production version of the Dodge Challenger will debut at the 2008 Chicago Auto show, with production starting later in the year.

Well, looks like Dodge is screwing Europe again. First they give you guys the crap-tastic Caliber and Avenger, and now they're taking away what will likely be the only good vehicle in their lineup. I'm sure all that positive press from earlier in the year did more than enough to generate interest in the car, so its a shame that they aren't bringing a few over there a year.

It doesnt' really strike me as a car Europeans would drive, though. I mean, look at the Mustang's success abroad....

Like all the interesting US models - it just means that it will be the import companies making all the profit instead. If Chrysler don't want the $/£'s that's their business. It's not like they were ever going to make a RND version for the UK/JPN/AUS markets anyway.
