Dodge Challenger TC Endurance Race? Interest Check...

In my IndyCar series we restrict transmission settings and it would be quickly apparent who had not followed these specs on the straights. But suspension i'm not sure.

I thought it wasn't compulsory, just a guideline for any non tuners. I've seen that done before in other series and it seems a decent plan 👍

How would you enforce said tunes? Or just saying this help others that can't tune get something set up?

Just to help others, there's no way to restrict which tune people use and I don't want the headache of trying enforce it.

I'm thinking about making this a spot race, and just doing a single race with a full 16 driver grid based off of individual qualifying runs so that we get the best of the best in the race.

If you keep the car stock as in the racing hard tires only, but make it fair game on the rest, I am in on this race. Ive driven the Challenger TC and its a really good car. It does pretty good at Spa itself. If your looking for tracks I recommend Spa overall for the track.
And add a little F1 to the mix, and make it 44 laps as was the race this year. that should make it the 2 hours as necessary.

You can't restrict the horsepower if we plan on running with the "tuning restricted" option checked.

Unfortunately you can. It's disappointing but I was able to turn the power slider down to 90% and join a tuning prohibited track. You can't touch the ballast or aero or anything else (except brakes and tires), but you can use the power limiter.

Even if you equip parts? I would assume the game would see that there are parts installed and deny you track entry even if you have the same horsepower.

No, you can't have any parts installed. Everything must be set to "default" except tires, brakes and power slider. My next season will be running the Alfa TZ2 with tuning prohibited so I've done a lot of testing with the system.

I'm not going to do a series with this actually. Just one endurance race that might be 1.5 to 2 hours long.

I'm still game, as long as this happens in the afternoon or evening GMT (except Mondays, which is evening only), and weekend anytime (except Saturday until 1700GMT). Duration is good.

I'll post up my best, most neutral-handling and reliable tune later today (in case we allow it)...

Aero: F 15, R 15
Suspension: Ride height F 0, R 0
Spring rate F 8.0, R 8.0
Dampers ext. F 5, R 5
Dampers comp. F 5, R 5
Anti-roll F 4, R 4
Camber F 2.0, R 1.0
Toe F 0.0, R 0.0
Brake balance: F 8, R 5 (ABS 1)

576bhp, 1285kg, racing hard tyres.

Just remember to adjust the gearing to suit. You want to just run into the red in 6th before the end of the longest straight. (Not being patronising - just in case you're not savvy with ratios...!)

I made this mistake last week in a Camaro oval race, set my transmission according to my solo speed and was hitting the limiter every time I got a draft.
