So a little WWE Network update from me, I mentioned previously that I was sad that the service was closing as I had been a subscriber for many years, well I didn't need to worry about cancelling it as they've done it for me. I got an email from them at 6.02 am on Sunday morning saying that it had been cancelled...just a few hours after Survivor Series, how brutal is that?! I wasn't ready! :(
I read that it is still available for the rest of the month for free, for existing subs. Wonder if that also supplies to lapsed subs like me?

So Smackdown tonight, Cody Rhodes will start the show, the Bloodline 2.0 will also appear and there is a tag title match between the MCMG and The Street Profits.

There is some SNME news with the show taking place next Saturday, WWE HOF'er Jesse 'The Body' Ventura will appear on co-commentary more Hall Of Famer's and legends are set to appear on the show and there will also be another Saturday Night's Main Event on January 25th.

We have new tag champions on Smackdown, DIY beat the MCMG in a good match in which Jonny Gargano turned heel to align with Ciampa, Street Profits were originally meant to be in the match but they were mysteriously attacked backstage. MCMG title reign lasted 42 days.

The brand split 'transfer window' was announced which means wrestlers can move between brands but its only temporary until the end of 2024, its one of the reasons why Chad Gable took on Cody Rhodes in the main event (plus Chad was a hometown boy from Minnesota) We also saw Gunther and Dominik Mysterio talking to Aldis backstage.

There was a great bit between Kevin Owens and Michael Cole in which Cole had to interview KO in his car and it was just another reminder of how great Owens is, another hometown girl in Tiffany Stratton become the last person to progress to the semi finals of the women's US title, the semi finals are Bayley v Chelsea Green and Michin v Tiffany Stratton and they will take place next week.

There are some casualties from the men's War Games match, Bronson Reed is out with a broken foot, Tonga Loa suffered a torn bicep and Jimmy Uso is out with a broken toe.

Damien Priest has been added to the world title match at SNME to make it a triple threat, Sami Zayn v Drew McIntyre has also been added.

Rhea Ripley beat Raquel Rodriguez and a good anything goes match in the main event last night, it was distraction filled of course with Liv Morgan and IYO Sky getting involved. New Day got booed out of the building, Lyra Valkryia progressed in the women's IC title tournament and is my pick to win it. Punk and Rollins traded more barbs, WYATT SICKS surprisingly took the L in the eight man tag team match with the Final Testament and the Miz.

A few bits of WWE news.

Bronson Reed has had successful surgery on his broken foot, its likely he will be out until after WrestleMania though so it sucks for him, I wish him a speedy recovery.

It was teased last night that the winged world title belt might be making a comeback, but it will only be for one night only at SNME this Saturday, there is a video of Triple H and Cody that was posted last night in which they had a belt case which Cody peaked inside and then its been rumored that the title could temporarily come back.

Logan Paul has said in an interview today that he is retired, its because he has a son now. And I don't think he has a contract anyway so if they need him to come back then he has to sign a new deal, I think he was good for the company and I liked him but apparently they didn't like the controversial side of him. I bet he will be number 30 in the Royal Rumble though!

WWE Saturday Night's Main Event was last night, it was good without being amazing but one of the good things was the presentation which was old school and nostalgic with the red white and blue ring ropes, the narrow entrance-way, the 90's WWE logo on the turnbuckles and the old school ref attire.

the main news really was the WWE title match between Cody and Kevin....and what happened after, Cody retained after a couple of ref bumps when he used the crossroads on a chair but after KO attacked Cody when the show went off air and hit him with a stacked piledriver, Cody got stretchered out and then Kevin got into a shoving match with Triple H, they did bring back the old winged WWE belt for one night but Kevin took it.

Also last night saw Chelsea Green become the first ever Women's US champions when she beat Michin in the tournament final, its completely deserved I think as she is brilliant, both other title matches had their champions retain in clean finishes, Liv Morgan beat IYO Sky and Gunther beat Finn Balor and Damien Priest in a great match, Drew McIntyre beat Sami Zayn in a good opening match.

Jesse Ventura was good in commentary and announcing and Pat McAfee returned to announce alongside Cole for most of the night, Ventura joined them for the Cody/KO match.

In TNA news:
  • Bold move to take a chance on Tessa Blanchard considering her track record. All for second chances if someone's learned from their mistakes and grown (e.x Jay Briscoe's anti-LGBTQ statements from the early 2010s and how he worked to change between then and his passing)
  • Just in time for the likely departure of Jordynne Grace to WWE once her contract's up

Wouldn't necessarily call Cody v KO a clean finish.

I'm very interested how this plays out both inside and outside the ring. Hopefully Tessa didn't bring any of that baggage with her.

Of course money wise Logan Paul was good for WWE everything else, I heavily disagree. No one got over from his part time schedule (which at least you can give Brock Lesnar for), and I don't count LA Knight as his momentum still felt derailed after being fed to the Bloodline trainwreck and it failed to recover his lost momentum. His moves are impressive but wouldn't call it a good quality though that might be my "no fly zone" attitude kicking in. Not to mention his US Title run was even worse than Dean Ambrose in a time when Smackdown had a Part Time champion they decided to put the second tier belt on another part timer which left Iyo Sky the only champion to be a consistent presence to carry the brand (she honestly deserves some sort of reward for doing that)

And thats not even getting to how he is outside the ring XD

I'm glad a few of you have posted, man it was getting quiet on here.

WWE has announced that Cody Rhodes has some injuries following the attack and piledriver from Kevin Owens, its all storyline of course and apparently is designed so Cody can take a bit of a break but I think we are at the stage of the year where Raw and Smackdown's get taped so they can give everyone Christmas off.
