Still my favorite football related Simpsons joke:

I really like Xavier Legette but for God's sake, catch the ball man!

Regardless of this being another game they maybe should have won. The Bryce Young apology tour continues on.
I didn't get the see the whole game but I am so happy Bryce Young is showing out like he has. Right now I would rather watch the Panthers than the Jets. But that was a really bad drop by Legette it hit in the wrong place the hands. I think I would like to see the Panthers get another receiver. I like the guy from Arizona. I really like Travis Hunter but I am not sure if they will be able to get him. For my Jets I hear that they are going to draft a QB next year. After Ward & Sanders the pickings are slim. I like Ewers but he stays hurt and I think Milroe has a high ceiling but he needs to sit at least a year. If the Jets send Rodgers down the road maybe they could resign Taylor as a bridge QB. But right now the they have no GM or HC so that matters little. TBH I thought about Darnold coming back but why would he want to do that? You got me there

Tonight's "The Simpsons Funday Football" between the Cincinnati Bengals at the Dallas Cowboys has a little connection. Homer Simpson wanted the Dallas Cowboys, but instead, he gets...

Yeah.

That went about as expected. Cincy's D is terrible, but the Cowboys kept shooting themselves in the foot. It took a Leon Lett-like mistake on that blocked punt to give the Bengals a chance.

It was 27-20 in Arlington, TX, USA as Dolph Drago's Cincinnati Bengals took down the Dallas Cowboys on the road. Both teams now share the same record after this game- 5-8. I didn't get to see The Simpsons' take on the NFL on this "The Simpsons Funday Football" except for a few video highlights on the ESPN website.

As you know, Dolph Drago, I'm a Houston Texans fan. So us Texans smile when the Dallas Cowboys lose. Good job the Bengals! And as I learned, their mantra: #RuleTheJungle .

We have completed 14 weeks of NFL football. Now, let's welcome Week 15 of the 2024 NFL season. Here are some of the upcoming matches this week:

* Thursday Night Football is an all-California affair and an NFC West showdown. The Los Angeles Rams will try to build off of their big win against Buffalo at home, and they will try to entertain the San Francisco 49ers in Santa Clara.

* The Cleveland Browns host the Kansas City Chiefs. The Browns are thinking upset.

* The other Ohio NFL team, Dolph Drago's Cincinnati Bengals, will try to make some winning music as they visit the Music City and the Tennessee Titans.

* The Baltimore Ravens will fly their way up north to the shadow of New York City and take on Jump_Ace's New York Giants.

* The Dallas Cowboys lost on Monday Night to one pack of cats. Now, the Cowboys have to travel to meet another pack of cats- the Carolina Panthers.

* Blitz24 and kjb's New York Jets will travel well down the Atlantic coastline to meet the Jacksonville Jaguars.

* Another Florida team will leave the Sunshine State and try to make a statement. That would be Omnis' Miami Dolphins playing at my Houston Texans.

* Indianapolis is trying to keep their postseason hopes alive. The Colts will be opposed by the Denver Broncos in Denver.

* Joey D, look who'll be on the other side of the field in Detroit- the Buffalo Bills. Buffalo is coming off of a tough loss at the Los Angeles Rams.

* The Keystone State's two NFL teams will clash for state pride. It's Fezzik's Pittsburgh Steelers at the Philadelphia Eagles.

* Sunday Night Football is between the Green Bay Packers traveling to the Emerald City to take on the Seattle Seahawks. Hopefully we don't get a second helping of "Fail Mary"...

* There are TWO Monday Night Football games this week! The Chicago Bears will hit the road and meet the Minnesota Vikings. Also on Monday Night is the Atlanta Falcons going way out to Las Vegas to take on the Las Vegas Raiders.

There are, of course, other games I didn't mention. But still- enjoy this week's games!

Earlier today, I was watching the NFL Channel on Pluto TV. A game that was shown was one of the most brutal weather games in NFL history. It was a game in 2013 when Joey D's Detroit Lions played at a VERY snowy Philadelphia Eagles. Both teams have 7-5 records at that time. The weather was so bad they they had to go for it on 4th Down or do two-point conversions. I remembered watching that game live on TV long ago. That game was crazy!

Weather notes from that game: 27°F (approx. -2.78°C), 21°F (-6.11°C) wind chill, NE 8 MPH (12.87 kph) winds, and (I think) 4 inches(?) of snow.

Welcome to the first game of the new week! It's an all-California affair and a classic SoCal vs. NorCal match. We got the Los Angeles Rams going up north to take on the San Francisco 49ers. The Rams are staging their run, but it could be curtains (or near curtains) for the 49ers should they fail tonight. The NFC West is fairly competitive with nobody really breaking away. So let's find out who will be the winner of this one.

Enjoy tonight's game!

That was such an awesome game despite the Lions losing. I remember Joique Bell hurdling Nate Allen on a pass from Stafford. I also remember Stafford's face when the snap went over his head. Wild game for sure.

Glad I didn't stay up to watch it, but a wins a win, and it was nice to see K Josh Karty being reliable for once.

I hate to see Campbell refused to go back in the game for SF because he didn't start. I am guessing he will be cut soon

It is time to let the NFL entertain you again for another Sunday. No matter who you're going for, be sure to enjoy whatever madness this Sunday provides. Tonight's Sunday Night Football match is with the Green Bay Packers going west to meet the Seattle Seahawks. Midwest meets Pacific Northwest.

Enjoy today's games!

The Houston Texans won 20-12 against the Miami Dolphins. An unbelievable interception by the Texans' Derek Stingley sealed the deal as the Dolphins fell to the Texans. Houston improves to 9-5 on the season while Miami falls to 6-8. If the Indianapolis Colts lose at the Denver Broncos later today, the Texans will make the playoffs and become AFC South Champions.

UP NEXT: at KC Chiefs (Saturday)

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the Miami wide receiver who took a vicious hit that delayed the game for around 5-10 minutes. I hope he recovers from the nasty hit he took. Football is a violent sport. Best of luck to your Dolphins the rest of this season, Omnis.

Congratulations to all other winners this week! How did your boys do?

Easily the Panthers worst performance since the Washington game? Suppose they were due to crap the bed after how promising the last month/five weeks has looked. Is what it is, at least Jalen Coker's 80 odd yard TD was cool.

I'm not trying to rub it in, but I saw a stat where the New York Giants are 0-8 at home this season. That is either tying or breaking a record of most home losses to start a season. The last home game for the Giants this season is on December 29 against the Indianapolis Colts.

According to Statmuse, if the Giants lose at home to the Colts, they will be all alone as the only team to have an 0-9 home record in NFL history. The New York Giants are currently one of 19 teams all-time tied with having an 0-8 record at home in one season. The last team to reach 0-8 is the Cleveland Browns in 2017 (who later would finish the 2017 season 0-16 and have a parade for it).

Elsewhere...

* As mentioned previously, the Denver Broncos took down the Indianapolis Colts 31-13. The fail by Indy helped Houston win the AFC South after their win, and it also gave the Pittsburgh Steelers a Playoff berth.

* The Battle for Pennsylvania went to the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles soared to a 27-13 victory over Fezzik's Pittsburgh Steelers. Did you know the Steelers never won at Philadelphia since 1965?

* Some people think Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions is a Super Bowl LIX preview. Well, if today was any indication, Joey D's Detroit Lions would be doomed and Buffalo would have themselves the Lombardi Trophy. The Buffalo Bills won 48-42 despite some late magic by Detroit. Detroit loses their first game since their Week 2 loss hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

* Speaking of Tampa Bay, the Buccaneers had no problem downing the Los Angeles Chargers 40-17 on the road.

* Blitz24 and kjb's New York Jets went down to Jacksonville and tamed the Jacksonville Jaguars 32-25.

* Dolph Drago's Cincinnati Bengals stay in the Playoff hunt by winning 37-27 at the Tennessee Titans.

* It was 30-17 in Glendale as the Arizona Cardinals took down the New England Patriots.

Again, congratulations to all of this week's winners!

Bears at Vikings and Falcons at Raiders, both TONIGHT!

How about TWO Monday Night Football games for your viewing pleasure? Let's get you ready for tonight's games...

--- GAME 1 INFORMATION ---
NFC North rivals clash in Minneapolis with two teams going two different directions.
  • CHI Bears (4-9, last in NFC North) at MIN Vikings (11-2, 2nd in NFC North)
  • FAVORED: MIN (-7)
  • OVER/UNDER: 43.5 points

This is a game of pride for the Bears. The Vikings, meanwhile, are still pushing for their cause in getting into the Playoffs. It is usually said to throw out the record books in a rivalry game. Well, anything can happen in this one. Minneapolis can be torture for visiting teams. We'll see how this one shapes up.

--- GAME 2 INFORMATION ---
Atlanta looks to go all-in and all-out visiting Las Vegas.
  • ATL Falcons (6-7, 2nd in NFC South) at LV Raiders (2-11, last in AFC West)
  • FAVORED: ATL (-6)
  • OVER/UNDER: 44.5 points

This game is not real enticing either. The Raiders are probably playing to grab the No. 1 overall Draft pick while the Falcons are still trying to keep pace in the NFC South.

Enjoy tonight's games!

The Lions have probably lost Alim McNeill for the rest of the season. We're going to have to start getting dudes out of the stands to play defense for us.

But this....this is the stuff that makes football fun:

Aaron Rodgers had a good game and they still almost lost the game. Right now on Jets Twitter the debate has been whether the Jets should keep Rodgers and to me the obvious answer is no especially considering the cap charge goes to 66 million in 2026 if they keep him for next year. Anyway I still want them to Just End The Season. I see they were looking at John Robinson & Louis Riddick. Robinson was responsible for trading AJ Brown to Eagles and starting the downfall of the Titans while Riddick has been interview many times and not been hired. We'll see what happens

No offense taken, at least from me, being a realist :) I get the feeling The Lions and Giants swapped places, like they now have the potential to be strong every season (Lions looking stronger than the G-Men have in decades). Whereas the G-Men are looking to, well, cash in on the best draft picks? 🤷‍♂️ SMH, but I will admit its great to see the Lions do so well, if I had one wish, that would be to have Megatron alongside St. Brown. Could you imagine?! SB lock.

So not only did we lose McNeill, but we've also lost CB Carlton Davis and RB David Montgomery. We have 21 player (soon to be 22) on IR with 16 being on Defense:

Hopes at a Super Bowl run was fun while it lasted. Now it's just going to be the Cheifs/Eagles and America is going to have to like it.

Yeah it is going to be hard to to win with half the team on IR. Seems like the defense has been hit the hardest. It's unfortunate because I liked the way they play
