Welcome back
John Cena is already in, he just had to declare for it at the Royal Rumble media scrum apparently.TheCena simpsinternet may hate Jey but the live crowds still love him.
Talking of Cena, is he getting a bye into the Elimination Chamber or is he actually going to have to win a match (for the first time in about a decade) to qualify?
I think the problem is less the length and more Smackdown roster was still made not only for 2 hours but also tried to not have a lot cause Bloodline segments were going to take up a lot (granted they still ran into unused talent problems)Smackdown tonight then. The show hasn't been great lately, its mostly because of the three-hour run time as it really does drag on and its affecting the show and not in a good way, we did have three-hour Raw's for a long time so we should be used to it but lately watching Smackdown has felt like a chore.
Drew McIntyre is expected to be on the show tonight, he wasn't on Raw after it was reported that he wasn't happy with how his Rumble appearance went and he stormed off backstage, I think his angry reaction did happen but I'm not so sure as to why. He was planned to move to Smackdown anyway so thats still going ahead.
Of you were wondering why John Cena is in the Chamber match without the need to qualify for it its because he is filming the 'Matchbox' movie in Hungary, he will be finished in time for the show but he won't make any appearances until the show
To be fair Cedric slipped from what I saw. I figured his contract just expired. There have been some WWE releases today. They are as follows:
Cedric Alexander
Sonya Deville
Isla Dawn
Luke Gallows
Karl Anderson
The Authors Of Pain
Paul Ellering
Blair Davenport
Giovanni Vinci
The biggest name there really has to be Alexander, he was with the company for nearly nine years and won the cruiserweight title and the Raw tag titles with the Hurt Business, he had been on NXT more recently and had a match on the show just last week, the obvious direction now will be AEW and the newly reformed Hurt Syndicate.
Sonya told the company that she wouldn't re-sign with them when her current deal runs out which is pretty soon, I think the rest of them really had a lack of TV time or any creative direction.
Edit: a bit Tree'd by Com Fox but I posted it anyway.
It's likely that they had to make room on the NXT roster and decided "eh, maybe we'll figure something out for them later". That's the main issue with having three brands, it's inevitable that a few people are going to get stuck in limbo because they need to move on from one but don't really fit into the other two.The one worry I do have is that two of those names where only brought up from NXT in the past year (Davenport and Dawn) which makes me wonder why they brought them up when they didn't have something for them.
We say that but Smackdown has yet to actually fill that extra hour with new possibilities in fact it keeps retreading the same ground just prolonging itIt's likely that they had to make room on the NXT roster and decided "eh, maybe we'll figure something out for them later". Believe me, I wasn't trying to absolve creative of any blame there. While it is possible that they had plans at the time of Blair and Isla's callups that got scrapped for whatever reason, it's just as likely they couldn't be bothered because hey, we know whose shirts are selling right now. It's hard to fit in if they never really gave you an opening to begin with.We say that but Smackdown has yet to actually fill that extra hour with new possibilities in fact it keeps retreading the same ground just prolonging it
Yeah, me and my family members miss him too, he gave us a bunch of laughs back then. Man, those were the days.Apparently both Rumble winner videos on Youtube have a massive amount of dislikes, Charlotte moreso but even Jey Uso is getting more dislikes than likes

New Daniel Bryan continues to be the most timeless gimmick in Pro Wrestling. I miss him![]()
