In fact the R8 LMS is a real GT racing sportscar.

For me, the louder the colour, the better. I love some of the colours you can get for the Lexus LFA. The pink looks good on my Enzo. Just do the wheels in black to break it up a bit. Chrome is ok, neon colours are better.
Also, people do this to their cars because no one would paint a mclaren F1 matte light green in real life unless they were a mad saudi oil baron.

At the end of the day, it takes allsorts and who are we to judge.
Get over it.

I think that carbon hoods depends on the car. If it's one of those newer models that has the technological edgy design (like the 458 or the LFA) then carbon hood is more or less mandatory equipment. It's not like it's ruining the lines, I rather think it enhances the design.

A carbon hood on a car with more fluid lines reuires a careful a delicate choise of colour, rims and aero parts to make it look right, otherwise it just looks ugly...

Putting a carbon hood on a classic car will recieve punishment by crushing.

RICERS. lol. But, yeah, it works on some cars. I prefer it only on an RM car. Street cars with it just look too ricey.

I wouldn't call it a crime, bit dramatic right? Each to his own. I really don't like coloured wheels and carbon hoods though. I don't even buy that for my GT-R or 370Z, while I do think that Japanese cars are the only cars fit for such things. I hardly ever change wheels or paint and most of my cars are not even tuned. I like them original.

Although racemods are an obvious exception, I've RM'ed my C6 but own an original ZR1 too. The Gallardo with aero parts and a bright lime green paint job looks great too. I've tuned it as well and put some black wheels on it. No purple wheels or carbon hoods though, not for me.

Can I post about a real car crime here? Someone snuck up over my neighbor's gate last night and splashed paint onto the hood of their new Supra. He came to warn us because we have a lot of cars. The one's I worry about are my brother's '06 STI, my late dad's Honda N600, and my '05 Legacy GT wagon.
