Does this bother anyone else? (Crimes against cars)

I wish the game had vinyls or custom paint so we could really get the look we want !

Everyone wants that but the graphics would have to be compromised in order to put edited pictures, text etc. on the car which is why FM3 doesn't even come close.

Hell, I even welded the stock heatshield onto my aftermarket exhaust header, just so it would still look stock!

If you actually did this then you are definately one of the nit picky guys about things like that LOL

I personally would never do something to take the look away from a sick aftermarket header especially weld a peice of metal onto it making it heavier haha :P

I put a Carbon hood on my Lambo SV, it lasted about 2 minutes before I went back to the stock hood.

Personally, I really don't like chrome paint on cars, but whatever each to his own.

To all the people with hideous cars trying to defend them (Especailly the NFS:U Refugees that play online and think absolutely nothing can touch their Skyline Vspec in Drifdoridu contest!) seriously, learn to live with teh fact you have bade taste. Noone's gonna make fun of you too much if you learn to laugh with the people that point and laugh.

That's exactly how I feel when I make fun of stupid people who can't even spell simple words like "the" and "bad". Thanks for learning to laugh along with those who are pointing and laughing at you. ;)

I find carbon hoods ugly on all cars in general. Just my opinion though. I can however understand people like it in a way.

I could care less. I hang out with a lot of Hot rodders and racers and the last thing that they ever wanna hear is how somebody would of done something differently on there car.

It's a game get over it. What I like doesn't have to be approved by anyone else. What I do in my game is none of your concern.

As far as real world. I'm pretty open minded about all vehicle mods. If you own it do what you want to with it I'm not gonna get upset about it. I may not like what you chose but if it is yours go for it. At the same time I don't care what you think of my vehicles.

Exactly, if everyone would think like this, we'd live in a better world ^^

No kidding. Imagine if everybody in the world had the exact same "taste", and how boring that would be!

Sometimes it's just fun to completely "rice out" a car on a whim. As I noted before, it's not an *actual* car - it's a digital representation in a freaking video game. And frankly, some of these "supercars" are remarkably hideous right from the factory.

You do realize that none of these are real cars, right? They're just digital approximations.

I do some insane things to the cars in this game, just because I would *NEVER* do such things in real life. In real life, I won't even allow a bumper sticker on my car, much less spoilers and wings. In real life, I try to keep all my mods out of view. Hell, I even welded the stock heatshield onto my aftermarket exhaust header, just so it would still look stock!

I put a naked carbon hood on a Ferrari 458 Italia - than slapped a big-ass wing on the back. I painted a Citroen GT matte pink, just to make it look like the pig it really is. I chromed a Zonda just to see what the interior would look like (chrome, go figure).

Who cares? What car did I actually hurt? Whose bank account was damaged? Since I've never been online with any of them, whose itty bitty feewings were hurt by them?

Some of you guys need to lighten up a bit. Go out, get drunk, get laid, get a life. You spend far too much time worrying what others are doing with their game. It's not real; it really IS just a game.

I think maybe you're the one who needs to calm down, you seem like one of those guys who yells online when no one was doing anything but discussing. He's allowed to dislike abnoxious custom cars just as much as you're allowed to have them. I don't usually get into conversations like this but something about your attitude is just so pompous that I had to say something. Consider taking your own advice bud 👍

The only thing I dont like is the Carbon Hood on most ferrari's/lambos/the lotus esprit (which mine has >.>) simply because the fact that the hood doesnt go to the edges of the car like most other cars and is just alittle square in the middle.

Why on earth would you EVER put a carbon fiber hood on a Lambo or Ferrari?

Cause they're not boring.:sly:

I went silly with the Need For Speed games when it came to visual mods.

In Gran Turismo I prefer clean, factory looks with nice paint and rims.

There was one car I had to chrome though, because it seems to be the only car in the game that suits chrome in my humble opinion.

The Mercedes McLaren SLR.

To (sort of) quote the well known saying; you pays your money you plays your game.

If someone wants a pink Civic with a huge rear wing, or a chrome Ferrari with a CF hood, or a Skyline, then it's up to them - however weird everyone else finds it.

At the point where they post a pic and say "What do you think of my car?" then it can become your business (within the AUP, naturelement). Until then why should it matter?

Who are you and why are you sneaking into my house at night and looking at my cars?

I have a McLaren in the same raspberry iMiev color on yellow rims.

My biggest gripe with the customization system is that I can't put a buffalo skull on the hood of my gold Mustang.

Stock is boring. While many classics are perfect when perfectly standard, most modern cars haver the personality of a plywood board. In such cases, rainbow color-shift paint and weird rims are actually an improvement.

My latest fashion crime is electric orange cars with metallic blue wheels. Tends to work well on blocky hatchbacks but is lost a bit on more classic things.

All my RM cars are now raspberry pearl with yellow wheels.

It's weird cus most of my cars the graphics look like they came off a PS1 ;) Especially standard race-cars with text on them.

After browsing some photo threads I have come to the conclusion that some people are downright insane. Why on earth would you EVER put a carbon fiber hood on a Lambo or Ferrari? And chrome paint? Doesn't look good on any car.
Does anyone agree, disagree or have any other car crimes to share?

Could be worse. Be thankful they didn't allow graphics customization.

Upon doing some wight reduction I managed to put a carbon bonet on it.

It gave it that, "I had a car accident and replaced it with the only near enough bonet that I could find", look.

All it needs now is some grey tape to keep the headlights from falling out and some black smoke coming from the exhaust because I couldnt be bothered servicing the damn thing.

Soon the wheels will taken off for extra cash and it will just be sitting in my front lawn on bricks. And I ain't mowing that lawn either.

You won't need to... the fridge, sofa and old newspapers will keep most of the grass down. That and the bonfires.

Mayhaps we should start a Raspberry club?

Its all down to how the individual wants to play his game and seeing as he had paid good money for it, its his choice no-elses SIMPLES.

Have to agree with the "Lambo's have to be lurid colours" train of thought. My three are lime green, bright metallic orange and a seriously bright yellow. But I tend to go for the classic look. Haven't put a wing on my Ferrari's for instance becuase it spoils the lines.

But I have seen some stonking paint jobs online, inspired by this I painted my Amuse 2000 deep metallic purple and the wheels a bright red to match the seats. I like it but others are divided on it !!

Takes all sorts .. I think the wide range of tastes can only be a good thing.

So I guess my Silvia S15 RM with a chrome body, chrome wheels, carbon fiber hood, wing, and trunk should be considered a crime. Meh. I like it. Here again, it is only a game. Does it really matter?
