After I got my first car with alloys (an '88 Magna wagon, back in early 1994) I won't go back to steelies, especially with hubcaps.

true but how many on here own a Jag but alloy are standard on the jag at least I have a choice imagine something like a Honda civic with wire spoke wheels ;)

Actually, I was going to make the comment that you had the one car that could probably get away with it.

South Africa are 3/34 at drinks in the first session.

My car has factory alloys (15")

The option on the sticker is "premium wheels"

Of course they're all beaten to **** from hitting curbs :D

And you're right hubcaps just plain suck. Even suckier are the ones that are masquerading as real rims. You know who you are!

My oldest sister's `81 Civic Wagon has steel rims. Heh heh. She bought a new CRV with alloy rims though. My parents have a `99 Accord with alloy rims, and a `99 CRV with alloys. My other sister has a `95 Accord with plastic hubcaps ... YUCK. And my `93 Accord has alloys. Honda makes some nice alloy rims - not the best, but they are pretty nice.

Yeah ... we're pretty much a Honda family ... I absolutely hate CRVs though. My parents' CRV feels like a cardboard box with fake leather seats. It too is very girly. I'd rather have a Ford Escape or two door Explorer.

years ago i was a tyre fitter it would make me laugh when these guys would came in with car that were real old heaps and go and put brand you mags and tyres on them sometimes costing more than the car was worth

what was a bigger laugh was they would spend all this money on wheels and tyres and then we would send it in for a wheel alignment and tell them there front end is stuff it sgoing to cost you big $$ 's to fix you should have seen there faces

All of our cars have alloys. My 323 had steels(a form of them, Mazdas version, not the regular ones) and we put factory 323 LX rims on it. Looks cool. I might go with my brother's 626 GT 15" on it, should fit and would look cool. It has 13"s on it now, and came with 12"s I think.

I have alloys...they're just not on my car at the moment. I'm using my stock steelies with snow tires!

Just FYI, ladies and gents: buy snow tires if you live in an area that is prone to large amounts of the stuff at certain times of the year. It doesn't matter what the cost is - they are worth EVERY PENNY!

My brother uses 626 GT "swirly" rims with snow tire...er Potenzas. His regular tires are Nitto, and don't do well in the snow.

First sign of snow: my car is parked and I'll drive my dad's Eclipse GSX (AWD Baby!). 17" directional performance tires don't fare too well in the snow.

16 inch, five spoke alloys for the 97z24 and 14 inch, five spoke alloys for the 86z4.
Once I get my 17 inch wheels, the 16 inch wheels will go to the 86z24. :D
