Don't you hate it when you do that?

Hi, I did a search and couldn't see anything specifically like this so I started a thread. The question is as the title says, things that you accidentally do that just annoy you in the game. Most of us have been playing for so long now that we get into a rhythm and even a slight mistake is annoying. So here's a couple o things that annoy me. Not that it gets me fired up or anything, just a pain when you do it.
You are saving up money and you have the prize car to sell, you go to sell it but instead change into it and have to sit through autosaves.:dunce:
You're racing a long race or the same race over and over and your sub-conscious starts racing for you:drool:. You get distracted by something and then look back at the screen only to realise you've had a crash.:grumpy:
You are doing up a car and you're about to enter a race, you start racing then realise that there was a part you forgot to buy or something you forgot to tune eg. turning off driving aids.:dopey:

I'm try and come up with more another time but please do tell me what things you do that annoy you in the game after having the game for so long. Oh newbies can post too- don't be discouraged.👍

If at first you don't succeed, sell your Holden.

Whenever I screw any given corner at all.

When I kill a good lap at The Ring with a spin on the Karrussel or half-bowl.

So you hate Holdens eh? That's OK I'm not fond of rotaries either and, oh yeah, the thread. Screwing up a lap on Nurburgring near end? Yes that's annoying, I'll vouch for that.

Yeah little things annoy me, like when I go to change my settings before a race and CLICK ON B-SPEC INSTEAD!!! :banghead: So now Bob is racing and I have to decide whether to take him out. :grumpy:

another one: I hate it when I'm in the middle of a race series (like 1000 Miles) and mean to exit the menu so I can save the game from my garage, but instead I press the "abandon race" button :ouch:! Ugh. That's happend a couple times...

or while you are racing an enduro for two hundred points and accidently pick b-spec during pit stop and kill the point accumilation.

The K-car cup.

Buying the Caterham 7 Fire Blade (because it meets the requirements for the K-car cup and isn't total 🤬 🤬 ) and then finding out you can't because it's a "special car"

1) clicking on start race a-spec when I meant to start b-spec. cue mad panic to get myself ready to do a lap with the PS2.

2) exiting a replay when I actually wanted to take a photo, and then screwing up a second time by exiting the event altogether instead of selecting Show Replay, thus losing the replay forever :ouch:

3) Entering a car I've never driven before into a race or practice, only to realise at the first corner that I have forgotten to turn the aids off first. :ouch::grumpy:

4) Forgetting to add / remove a modification / oil change / tyres before entering a race that you've spent the last twenty minutes restarting to get the perfect lineup.

5) Buying all the tyres I want for a car in one visit, then accidentally selecting "install now" or whatever it is, so I then have to go and change to the tyres I wanted again in a settings menu somewhere.

1) Racing the All Japan Championship and not knowing your car still has those N1s on. Real nice, buddy.

2) While not watching, having an AI car bump you out of your lane and into the dirt.

3) Like everyone else, I have this problem as well... forgetting to turn the aids off in a new car, and then wondering, "Why is this acting like my dad's Honda Accord?" :dunce:

I hate it when I enter a turn way too hot.
Knowing full well that I won't be able to recover in order to maintain my position.

At one point, you are able to browse menus fast because you know it. Then after a while of not playing you still have the knowledge that "you still know the menu word-for-word". But then you accidentally click on the wrong icon by accident due to the fact you forgot clicking a certain direction brings you somewhere else.

Momentarily taking time to think about something else on a long straight, say the Hunadieres (sp?) or the monster at the Nurburgring, and looking back 5 seconds later to notice your car whining at 8000 rpm, doing just 90 mph in 3rd gear, as all the other competitors fly past, doing at least 50 mph more.......yes i use manual and sometimes forget. :dunce:

This just happened to me, I was searching used car lot late 90's and wanted to go straight up to early 90's, all I had to do was press up a couple o times and I ended up pressing a hundred different directions at once and almost got to GT Auto, now how did that happen??

When I accedintally hit B-spec on a championship race, when I really needed to practice(qualify) for it first...
Then I have to either turn off my console and re go back into it all, or if I didn't save it before that particular race, then I could have to restart the whole championship.

I also hate when A-specing any course...i'll be racing to where I could do a whole lot better, as in the first 2 or 3 laps I screw up at the same spots. But then on the last lap i'm doing amazing all the way through, but then I suddenly screw up on a turn that I haven't screwed up on the entire race.

Also I hate when i'm leading the race for every single freakin lap, with a 10 second gap between me and 2nd place, and then I accedintally hit a small u turn to fast and I lose 3-5 positions...

. . . Ditto to all 3 of them!!!!

#2 annoys the living crap out of me!!!!!!(no pun intended)

Does anyone else find that they get paranoid and constantly check the settings on a car before a race to make sure it's right? I do this and it bugs the hell out of me, I know it's gonna be right but I can't stop myself from making sure.

1. Racing the Nürburgring and cutting the final corner to the long straight that hard that the car jumps off the curb and takes off like an airplane.
2. Mission 35

Trying to get gold on IA-15, but missing the gold time by 2 seconds.

Yeah that reminds me of one. With nearly all the license tests, well, definitely all of those that took a bit of practice for me to gold, I would always miss gold by 0.02 of a second or somewhere thereabouts on the first attempt I make that's actually close to a gold time, then screw up a bunch of attempts before finally hitting gold. I'd always seem to miss it just on the wrong side of the magic number, then have to work at it some more, usually getting a bunch of aborted attempts because I made a mistake, or a few more silvers, and then out of the blue beating the gold time by miles.

Hmm, just like other people don't like mission 34 and similar to your thing there, I missed winning mission 34 by 0.02 of a second once.
