me too ;)

maybe i'm just getting old but the only thing i really care about holding in my hands lately is the G25 wheel as i'm playing the game. when i was younger i used to care about things like having all the packaging and something tangible, but now...i just want to play. besides, discs can get scratched or lost and if the hard drive breaks, i can just download the game again. as for trading in the game? it probably won't be worth much once full GT5 is released and there is no way i would sell my copy of prologue until then.

still, i have debated this in my head for some time so it's not like i'm opposed to getting the BD. it just seems like having everything in digital format is the future and we are eventually going to accept it and not care about having the packaging. offering a lower price for the digital download would be nice, though.

That has been said for repeatably for years and years now, I personally don't believe it for a second, people pay hard cash for the software they want something to see in thier hands for it, packaging will always be around in my opinion. Just look at the poll and posts here for an example.

I chose disc over download. That's just what I associate gaming with. Downloading something.....it doesn't seem like your getting something. I can download a song or a virus scan, so it seems weird to put a console game in the same league. I'll come around, but not yet

i will be getting the blu ray version. As slow as the psn is it would probably take forever to download. Plus with all the people downloading it, it might not even be able to be downloaded for the first day or two, i might not even be able to get the download started. After waiting as long as it has been i want to be able to play it a.s.a.p.

Have you tried scratching a Blu-Ray? They have a special coating that helps a lot on this front. As I rent games and movies online I had gotten used to discs in poor condition, but I have yet to get a Blu-Ray movie or game that looks like it has been used by anyone except me.

DVDs, on the other hand....let's just say they are in better condition when I get finished than when I get them.

The disc definately for me. I can't imagine spending £24.99 on a download considering from where I ordered it (Game UK) I got it for £19.99, so the disc one has packagina and still works out cheaper for most people. I don't think I will be persuaded to buy a Downloaded Full Game for along time.

Yup! I did a presentation on Blu-Ray last year and here's the pic I used to show the difference between scratching a DVD and a BD. The pic shows the attempts of scratching both with steel wool and a pen. (DVD on left and BD on right)

I bought the disc, I just like to have something physical and also something I can easily take to a mates without having to download it! And you also cant use the PSN download if your not connected to the PSN network! So its a pain if your internet is down or at a mates who doesn't have broadband, etc.

I have the BR disk for the JP version, so went for the DL for the EU version. I regret this deeply. I have a fast connection, so it took me just 1.30h to download it but the PSN version has not one positive thing over the BR.
- Can only play with the Master account (the one you downloaded the game with). Main issue here is PSN Id, I'm stuck with my old one. I don't think Sony has any plan in implementing a "game transfer" utility to move a game from one account to another.

- Not possible to play offline (you must be connected to PSN to play). I usually bring the PS3 when going to the mother-in-law for the weekend, now I can't play the EU version because she doesn't have broadband.

- Same price as the BR version (40€).

I wish I would have been a little more patient and do some research before jumping on the DL version. I will never download on PSN again if it is available on BR.

i like blu-ray disk and all. but it is a bitch to clean..:ouch: but still i choose blu-ray over downloading.

I like to get the disc, because I like all the artwork (sleeve, manual etc.) that comes with it - I also like to lay my game (cases) out and look at them.

Hey all, Im from Singapore and I used to have the Asian/Chinese version BD. Unfortunately I dont read Mandarin and was trial and error when playing. However, got the US BD yesterday, which is great, plus is the spec II ver.Sold off the Chinese ver back to the shop. :)

I purchased both the Japanese and US versions via PSN. Not sure what I'm missing other than a video and having to put my disk in :)

I've heard you can't play the PSN version if you're not signed into PSN, correct?

I bought blu ray because then i can take it to friends houses, i got it cheaper, and i like having an actual material object.

Blu ray for me. Both JPN and PAL(UK) versions for me.

All lined up nice on the shelf from the first game up to this one. With enoguh space left for the full game when that hits.

I had GT5:P (Blue-ray) pre-ordered at EB (Aus), I would prefer a Blue-ray version of the game, its the only wway to go for simplicity and its also nice to add to your GT collection.:D
