Week 9

This weeks theme is D1GP.

In GT4 there are only 2 or 3 D1GP cars, I want to give more freedom to this theme.

In other words... Silvia, Skyline, RX7, Supra, Mustang and more are a cool base for the D1. We saw a lot of pics with an amazing "Import Style" (Japan racing style) at GTP galleries using the exact color/rims/wing/car combination.

Just use your imagination to create a real D1GP style cars, with or without decals

Cars: Any car which could simulate a real D1GP event from your point of view.
Track: Real World Tracks Only.

Please follow the rules.

~ Only one entry may be submitted, mark it clearly as Final Entry.
~ Previews may be posted, but must be no larger then 400X300.
~ You may change your Final Entry once.
~ All images to be uploaded at Imageshack.
~ Photoshop or other graphics programs may only be used to crop, resize, adjust brightness/contrast, gamma, hue/saturation, rotate, add a border or small signature, or to remove the "Gran Turismo/©SCEI" watermark, if you so wish.
~ If you don't have Photoshop or other professional image management software, try a shareware one such as Picasa or GIMP.
~ Have Fun and feel free to PM me if you have anything you want to ask or discuss.

im driving for my pictures now and something occured to me ... i need to learn how to properly drift. power over steer is fun, but, its too easy on n3 tyres with a lot of power. but, simply counter steering because of the power over whelming the rear tyres isnt quite a drift, is it?

Well, power over is one technique. Anyway there are not many different techniques avaible in GT4 with that limited physics... Many times, just go to the the rails at 200Kmh to take a good photo LOL, it doesn't matter if you was performing the driving line of your life.

Well as long as you can get a shot of the car sideways I guess it doesn't matter.
The way you explain your drifting most people would call power sliding which some don't consider as drifting. Doesn't really matter, drift how ever you can I say. 👍
I usually always use N2 tyres and feint drift or lift off, and of course I always try to take a photo of an actually drift not just me moments before spinning.

what about the GTO? isnt that a D1 car?

Yep, you could use that if you want.

Cars: Any car which could simulate a real D1GP event from your point of view.

So any car that you think would fit into a D1GP event.

So when you say with or without decals, you actually mean using cars that already have decals on anyway? I wish we could change the rules so we could Photoshop some decals on or something....

You're right Mog. As you know PMC rules don't allow photoshopping, so you'll have to use you imagination rather an editting program hehe.

Well I did a photoshoot today with my Lexus IS200 DRIFT Car I was happy with the shots but I am sure in a D1 GP there is more than 1 car going around at a time so I am going to try again tonight.
