Drift

Well I don´t drift in the actual sense but you might want to try: audi s4, tt and tt LM, some lancia deltas especially the delta s4, rufs. If you don´t like 4wd then...

you people know nothing!!!!!!!!!:banghead: the sileighty is one of the best drift cars concievable!!! I myself prefer the Altezza 280 T toms with sports tires all the way around. I can link the entire track at motorsports land. Looks good you should see it:) anywayz the idea for a gt2 specific drift thread is a good idea. WOOT!
 
This thread, is so funny.............. Lancer, you are a very odd cookie........

However, I do have a question......... Due to my GT3 disc breaking, I am forced to play GT2 until I get a new disc............. My question is, where do you win the Sil-Eighty? I'm loving my 180SX type X, but I would just love to see the Sil-Eighty sideways, and I'm not sure where to get it... Can anyone help me?

BTW, I think the S13 projectors look much better than the Strawberry (S15), on a 180SX. They just suit the lines of the car much better. The Strawberry face looks out of place IMHO, and makes it look like it was an afterthought........

u poor poor man. I would hate to have to go back to GT2. Dont get me wrong that game ROCKED and i used to play it non stop but now that i am addicted to gt3, i played GT2 the other day and didnt have a clue what was goin on. The cars looked like squares. Very scary. I wish they out the sileighty in 3 and i agree that the s13 front looks better than the s15.

I'm slowly getting back into GT2. I love the car selection, and the cool tracks we didn't get in GT3. However, I do agree with you about the graphics. It's painful not to be able to see all these beautiful cars, in all their high res glory. It's all good though, because there will be even more cars in GT4 (including the Sil-Eighty), and the used car feature will be back (YAY!!!!). Also, I will be getting a new GT3 disc in a week, so I'm stoked....

BTW, I found the Sil-Eighty, but I'm not sure how I got it. I just looked in my garage, and it was there, all of a sudden (weird), but I'm not complaining.... It's my favorite drift car, and I will be converting my RPS13 (I should be getting it within the next month) to a Sil-Eighty............

I think it's great the sil-eighty is back in GT4. I used to love that car and was devostated when it wasn't in 3. I also think it's great that the used cars are back so i can be stingy and not pay full price for crappy cars.
 
Silviadrifter, if you want a nissan sileighty, just race in the first of Fr cars, and what do you mean a very odd cookie, can you explain this expression? I am not English.

Your a little late. As stated in my last post, I have the Sil-Eighty, but thanks anyway..... As for the comment. It just means that you are kind of strange. Your first post in this thread is loaded with contradictions, and false information....

First off, drifting is not faster than grip, except for maybe 4 wheel drift (I'm not talking about 4WD drifting, they are two completely different things), in which you use a slight slip angle, to get the most grip possible out of your tires. If you have two equally skilled drivers (on grip, and one drift), the grip racer will always come out on top. Drifting isn't about speed, at least not compared to grip. Drifting is about style, and exhibition.....period. I could keep going, but I think I've ranted enough in this post....

I have another question, for anyone who wants to answer.....

How do you get Motorsport Land. It's been soooooooo long since I played GT2, that I can't remember where to get anything....lol.... I really want to drift this course, because it seams to be almost made for it.

BTW, I also love the Toms Altezza, except, I use normals instead of sports (slightly less grippy)..........

To get motorsport land, just win every race in hard in the arcade, I think (I don't remember very well what I did to win this course).

For your information silviadrifter, in Gt2 is much more easy to do 4 wheel drift, in Gt3 is more hard, I am used to do 4 wheel drift in gt2, in Gt3, I only played 3 days, in a house of a friend, but I did 4 wheel drift. If I had a site, I would be show all my drift, my 4 wheel drift, but I haven't a site to post my vid. What I will say next is really true, with a Levin, 260 hp, 825 kg, all tuned, in Gt2, I can do the first turn in Midfield raceway, at 100 or 110 mph, without get out of the course, without hit the wall, I SWEAR this is true. In GT3, in midfield raceway II the last curve before the finish line, that turn are two turns, the first turn, with a trueno in Gt3, I did it at 180 kmh or 190, I almost exit the road, but I didn't, all I said about me is true, I swear.
Can anyone tell me a site to upload my vid? To show you my drift.

PM 19xx, or Pergatory, tell them you want to upload a vid of 4 wheel drift, and I am sure they will allow you to use their space (as long as it's a small file, and temperary). I for one would love to see it. If what your saying is true, but I think you still are misunderstanding what a 4 wheel drift is. I could be wrong, but we'll see, when we see the vids.......

I am working on a GT2 drift vid, at the moment.....
Has anyone seen a GT2 drift vid before? Because I haven't. Anyway, It's been quite an adjustment, going from GT3 physics, to GT2 physics. However, I'm starting to get the hang of it. It's much easier to initiate drifts, and it seams to ber easier to change direction mid drift. The problem is, that it is harder to do long drifts, at least it is with FR......

There will be FR, MR, and AWD drifts, and I'm compiling replays of some classic drift cars, as well as rally, that I would love to see back in the GT series (GT4)......

I'll post a new thread when the vid is done.........

GT2 drift vidz!!!!! Where can I find? All i can find are GT3 vidz. No one respects GT2 for drifting. I don't have a PS2 so I can't play GT 3 :( :( :( If anyone has any GT2 drift vidz e mail a link to me.

Well, I saw part of a GT2 drift vid, but it was corupted, so it wouldn't play all the way through.........

What I did see, wasn't very good......

I will be working on, and hopefully finishing, my GT2 drift vid, today, so look for that.....

I played them with WMP, so that's not the problem....... I watch wmv's all the time. I have all the latest codecs for WMP, Divx Player, Winamp, etc.............

What I did see of the drifting, didn't look that great though, so I'm not too worried about seeing it.........

Well, i have been working on my skills that would be the first vid i made if u check back on the site i do have a volume 2 and now that i have improved i will release a volume 3
 
wow i watched ur vid silvia and i realized i should get GT3 it appears drifts last a lot longer because it actually has physics. If uve ever drifted in GT2 u would know what im talking about. I would like to see more GT2 drift videos.
